Lisa and her team at The Organizing Mentors were a lifesaver. After trying for months to get my Mom to purge through a lifetime of accumulated memories, we finally reached out to Lisa for help. She and her team were highly professional and did a great job making my Mom feel like she remained in control of the process. It allowed me to not be the 'bad guy' because it removed the emotional aspect, which is one of the most difficult roadblocks when moving our aging parents. The Organizing Mentors were highly responsive and punctual. An added bonus is the relationships they have with so many organizations that accept donations. Knowing that her belongings were not going to a landfill was very important to my Mom and she feels very good about the different organizations she was able to help with her donations. They worked over a period of a couple of months to make the moving process as stress free as possible. Highly recommend.

I called Organizing Mentors after my brother became disabled and could not return to his home in Sterling VA. I lived remotely in Charlotte NC and the 4 bedroom home was totally packed floor-to-ceiling and needed to be cleaned out. Lisa and her team did a fabulous job - sorting through junk, recycling good through Habitat for Humanity and the Closet, setting aside personal and family valuables and selling some valuable items. She was a great communicator, kept me posted at every step, and efficiently cleared out the house so it could be sold. I highly recommend Lisa, her team and Organizing Mentors. This company and the people were absolutely amazing, I could not have done this without them, they were professional, punctual, very intuitive and wise in their approach, they were so supportive on so many different levels, I feel like I came away with a brand new forever family. Between 1 week in January 2019 and 5 weeks in May-June - we finally accomplished out goal.

Wonderful! The Organizing Mentors are amazing! Kind and compassionate, friendly and helpful, and totally focused and skilled. These women helped me to attack the accumulated stuff in my house to get it ready to sell. I’ve honestly never seen anyone work harder, and the clean and serene outcome was astounding. Lisa and Michelle and Victoria helped me to sort a mountain of stuff and cull huge amounts to donate, and some to trash. They packed and rearranged and lugged and loaded tirelessly. I literally could not have sold my house without their help. Highly recommend!

Being in our 80s, we needed help with selling, donating and otherwise disposing of our furniture, collectibles, etc. Lisa and her staff were just what we needed. We have the highest regard for the Organizing Mentors.

Victoria did an excellent job helping us get our playroom back! She was kind and patient, and made it an enjoyable process. We got rid of a ton of outgrown items, trash, & recyclables, and reorganized a bit to make better use of the space. As my 5-year-old daughter said, "It's like a brand new room, and there's not even a single thing in the middle of the floor!" My kids are playing like they've never been in there before, and I feel about 500 pounds lighter and ready for whatever Christmas brings. I cannot thank The Organizing Mentors enough!

This was wonderful. Kathleen & Sally showed on time and worked diligently until we were done. They have a great attitude.

This effort went wonderfully. They came with a system that we adopted and we got the job done in 2 six-hour sessions. We created a garage full of stuff for haulage. The team of Victoria, Kathleen and Lisa were great to work with.

Thy were very helpful in disposing of things that I no longer needed and in packing up what was left for moving - twice.

Lisa and her co-workers did an excellent lob of packing the stuff in my apartment for a move out-of-state. She was also there to help out when the movers loaded the truck. This is the second time I have used her services and I recommend the Organizing Mentors highly.

It went great! Everything looked so tidy and my brain didnt hurt trying to figure out where to put things. My pantry was organized and everything had a place. It made it so easy to put things back in their place.

The team was responsive, did a great job and thought of things I hadn’t considered. I’ve used them twice now and would definitely hire them again!

I have not been able to get my car into my garage for almost 9 years. It became a dumping ground, and after several failed attempts to do it ourselves, my husband and I hired the Organizing Mentors to help us clean, organize and make room for my car. After 2 afternoons of working with Marie Therese, we are now not only able to walk through the garage (previously a challenge) but my car now fits in the garage again, and we know where everything is. My husband's work bench in the garage is even organized! Marie Therese had very practical ideas for systems that would work for my entire family (including my 2 young children), and she made the task of purging easier for us by hauling away our donations and bringing us the tax donation receipt. I wish I had not waited so long to get help from the Organizing Mentors - my daily life is so much better now that my garage is functional again!

Master bedroom looks fabulous! About 10-11 bags of clothes & shoes were collected for donations which they took for me. Also had about 3-4 bags of trash & recycling. Still in the process with the guest bedroom. The closet has been cleaned out & reorganized. The desk was cleaned out & then removed. Still need to tackle the bed. Lisa is so helpful and encouraging!! She gives homework assignments that helped break the work down into small manageagle tasks.

Two mentors from this company helped me organize this cluttered space during a two week period. Camille and Marie were hard-workers, dedicated, and friendly. I enjoyed working with them. They gave good suggestions, employed their organizing skills to the fullest, and took our many donation items to a local charity. This company goes the extra mile for its' customers. As a result, we now have an organized storage area with our items readily accessible. I highly recommend this great company.

It was really good. I was pleased with the lady who came; she was very helpful. She helped me get rid of quite a number of things.

In the end, Lisa and her team didn't do a lot of work for which she could bill us - taking away items for donation (clothes, kitchen items, eg.) and as scrap (mostly broken furiture and such). But initially we were overwhelmed by having to move or give up the stuff we'd collected over more than 20 years from a 3000 sq ft home to a 1300 sq ft apartment. Lisa has been directly involved in this kind of thing many, many times, and her advice and reassurance over a period of weeks gave us the confidence we needed to move ahead. More important than the (not inconsiderable) physical jobs we gave her, that advice and reassurance came free andclear.

I recommend the Organizing Mentors to anyone downsizing, preparing to sell home, packing, house renos, family changes such as new baby, additional family moving in, decluttering, organizing garage & storage. They work 10 times faster then I do. They have a system, and at no time was I concerned our family's needs were not their top priority.

We have had three sessions so far and have made a lot of progress. We began in our home office and took a room that became more or less a storage space and turned it back into a functional office. My husband and I no longer have to climb over boxes to get to our desks and everything has been put away in an organized manner so that we can always find what we need. We have also cleaned out the coat closet and are now able to use the shoe shelves on the floor and the hangers and have no trouble finding what we need. We've also cleaned out a huge section of the laundry room in the basement and have functional shelving units now to store our stuff. We can easily see items that we are looking for and we know where things are now. Finally, we cleaned out the guest room. We had been using that room as a storage area as well, but have now donated old clothes and created a space that's welcoming to our guests. We have been so grateful to get the chance to work with this service and the lovely woman who comes to help out. She's encouraging and works efficiently and respectfully when it comes to our stuff and our home. Based on the progress we have made so far I look forward to more sessions where we can continue to work on organizing the rest of the house.

This experience was very positive. I was very anxious about attempting to declutter our home and Lisa was an anchor in the storm. She is very reasonable and assuring but keeps things moving. I plan to continue to use her as I go through this huge process.

Lisa not only got my mother to dispose of at least six garbage bags of clothing, but she did it quickly and my Mom had a great time. Not one complaint about ANYTHING which is amazing in itself. She has not missed an item and only has clothing that fits. Lisa saw to that her clothing found a good home which made my mother feel good.

Lisa contacted me quickly and was able to come out sooner than I expected. She was a big help with decision making, packing and taking the stuff away. She tries to recycle as much as possible and donates what can be. It really makes a difference having someone to help and it goes quicker! She's a wonderful person, nonjudgmental and knows what's valuable and what is only of sentimental value. Highly recommended.
