M.C. Fence and Deck

I could not have been happier with MC Fence. The process went exceptionally smooth. Their communication was excellent. The installers were friendly, informative and showed up on time! I got several estimates and they were extremely competitive, with a superior product. I would definitely recommend MC Fence and use them again.

Good. Work was quickly scheduled and stared a few days later. Work was started and finished in a single day, and was done in a workman like manner. No complaints. I can't rate price/value because I did not get other quotes.

The workers did an excellent job even with an unexpected delay because the compression machine broke down. The job was completed over two days as a result of the breakdown. In any case, the workers were very efficient, left my place clean and picked up after they finished the job. I would highly recommend them.

The first call to have a quote made went without an issue. They very quickly responded and provide me with a written quote on the spot. Since this was being installed at a new house, we had to wait for closing, which was approx end of April. Since the initial install date (4/27) was scrubbed due to rain, which I appreciate, we could never get a solid date locked down. Finally, I was able to have them install it on Mothers day (5/8). However, they could not install the entire fence (WHAT!) since the portion where the double gate goes is "Still in production" Now, let's think about that for a second. The original install date was on the 4/27, which they should have had all the parts to for a full install The push date due to weather was 5/8, which all the parts should have STILL be there however, for some unknown reason they were not. I'm not sure how that happened or why, but it did. Okay - so the remaining part of the fence was installed somewhere around the 18th or 19th of May. Sorry, don't know the specific day. However the double gate had one second approx 4 inches higher than the other side, so the gate was horrible looking. The workers showed up that day, saw they were there, was alerted by the fellow building the deck they were there and I went out to great them. When they were done, just disappeared without saying a word. And leaving the gate in a horribly installed condition. To flash back to the original install (5/8) the install, foreman I guess came to the front door, verified what was going to be completed and explained what was going to occur. Also, he touched base with me before he left to make sure I was happy. So, at this point (5/18) I have a functional fence installed and 2 functional gates, however the dual-gate is installed incorrectly. I notified the people of MC Fence and advised them of the issues. It seems that someone would be out in a couple of days to correct the issues. Here are the issues: - The left door on the double gate is apprx 6 inches higher than the door on the right. (yes, there is a very shallow 2 inch drop in the ground grade from the left door to the right door, but not 6 inches. - Several of the caps on the tops of the posts blew off in the various weather events we have had, since they were not glued down. - the flashing on the door gates, had approx 3 inches of exposed space, which allowed those cover pieces to pop-out due to wind. After calls and calls, to yes, a very nice front office lady, Barbara, I finally got all the issues corrected. However it took well over a month and replying to emails about my outstanding balance to have them actually correct the installation issues. Also, I was told at least once, that someone went out the day prior and fixed the issues, I had to say no. I know that Mike (I think), who I'm not positive who that is, came out and took pictures of all the issues and confirmed they were issues and needed to be resolved. In the end they we all resolved. Just not a easily as I feel they should have.

Excellent - the most efficient and honest contractor I have ever hired. From the date of agreement, it took only one week to have the fence installed. This is a project we had delayed for years, and we are so happy with the results. The price was fair, honest, and consistent with other estimates we had received. Also, when we ran into a few glitches during installation, the installers as well as the main office were incredibly supportive in troubleshooting effectively. When we also changed our mind about the design halfway through install, the contractors were flexible and helpful. This was superb service, honest work, with high quality results. I will certainly use them in the future for any needs. Thank you!

KC came out and did estimate. He was prompt, polite and was able to accommodate preferred install date. We were told that this was an easy job and would only take an afternoon. However, the fence crew that came to install did not know what scope of the job was when they arrived and they did not speak English. It was a least 30 minutes before a person in charge arrived with the plan layout. The fence that was installed was a poor quality material (fencing was flimsy) and the installation job was extremely substandard, the fence was not sturdy nor secure. Gate posts were missing caps and the top of fence was not aligned properly and was cut leaving rough links. Job entailed removal of existing fence/ cement. The crew attempted to hide some of the old fence material in the woods vs. removal. They knocked down our neighbors fence and was not going to repair until our insistence. Enclosing the sides of the fence to existing fencing was poorly done. The dissatisfaction of the job was called to the attention of KC, who completely concurred and arranged to have the job redone. Original crew may have been a temporary crew/ day laborers as we were told "don't worry, they were fired". The fence redo took an several weeks and several phones before it was finally completed to an acceptable state. MC Fence was asked to make contact with us prior to coming out so that we could make sure someone was home to discuss the details of the job, but that was not done. They were given an alternate phone number to call, but never recorded the number, as I had to give it out more than once. Twice they showed up when we were not home so we missed reviewing the work with them.

We can't speak highly enough of MC Fence. We’ve worked with 15+ companies and contractors (while renovating our home), and MC Fence is by far the best company that we’ve ever worked with. We wish they did more than fencing! Initially, we had three estimates to install a 3-board horse fence. The proposal by MC fence was the most reasonable in terms of cost, and they were the most proactive in finding us the best fence material, design and layout for our property and budget. The gentlemen who performed the initial estimate (K.C.) was a pleasure to work with. He came by multiple times to refine the project details, and again on the day of installation to walk the perimeter with us and a journeyman who was on site the entire time. The installation crew was friendly, professional, reliable and very efficient from start to finish. The installation around the first half was complete in a day! We asked them to delay the second half of the installation for a few months, and they were extremely flexible and accommodating with the change in scheduling. Above all, they do quality work…...the fence and gates are expertly built, and they found the straightest line around a number of large trees and along a slightly wandering road. MC fence even skillfully removed pavement in a number of places with perfect cuts. They also had extra materials delivered for the second installation, so they could pick from the best pieces (and skip over any that were discolored or slightly warped). They exceeded our expectations in every aspect of the project, and we’ve gotten dozens of complements on our fence already. If you plan to install a fence in northern Virginia, we would highly recommend giving MC fence a call first.

We would like to thank MC Fence for the excellent service they provided in repairing our fence. Mike in the service department was great to work with, and Miguel and Reyes (sp ?) did an excellent job on the install. It looks terrific. We will definitely use MC Fence for our future needs.

They are by far the easiest company that I've had to work with. Everything went extremely smooth, and the repairs were done within a week. I would definitely hire again in the future.

We purchased a home and needed a fence put up to keep our children in the yard, safe and sound. I contacted 3 companies and received estimates from all 3. MC Fence was the lowest price for the same service. I had done a little research about fencing, but had questions and needed opinions/guidance about the process and eventual finished product. Melissa walked me through the process, answered my questions, and told me things I didn't know about fencing. I received the estimate when she said I would. I felt most comfortable with MC Fencing. I called and scheduled the installation for the next week. The crew showed up on time, made sure they knew exactly what I wanted, and installed the fence in one day. It looks great! They were professional, cleaned up the yard, and were friendly. I highly recommend MC Fence for all fencing needs.

From start to finish, MC Fence did a great job on the project. Jeff was an outstanding salesman/foreman. He arrived on time for the estimate, was thorough and helpful with suggestions for the project. After he provided the initial quote, I asked him to change a few items AND provide a quote for an additional section of fence for my neighbor (plus remove a section of their fence). He revised the proposal and was very reasonable with the request. I placed my deposit and scheduled the work to be done. The materials showed up a few days before and the crew showed up on time the day of the install. They were very easy to work with and did their job very well. The crew had to displace a small tree and some shrubs. They even replanted those items where I asked them to without hesitation. The job was done on-time, no materials left behind and the construction was top notch. Fast forward a couple of weeks. I turn on my sprinkler system and there is a big leak near one of the fence posts. I am quick to assume it was the result of the fence install as this has never happened to my sprinkler system. Jeff assured me that his crew did not hit a line, but said he would take care of it and was very quick to come out and check out the problem. He dug up the area himself only to find that indeed it was not related to the fence install. He helped identify the problem and was wiling to assist in fixing it. TOP NOTCH CUSTOMER SERVICE! They stand behind their work.

We had MC Fence replace a picket fence in our backyard several years ago. This spring we noticed several places where the top boards had split or cracked over the winter. We weren't sure if the fence was still under warranty but called to see if the boards could be replaced. They came out within a few days to look at the fence and assured us that they would replace the boards at no cost! True to their word, several days later Alfredo arrived and took care of everything. We were extremely impressed with the positive customer service attitude and responsiveness of MC Fence!

Everyone at McFence was a pleasure to deal with - starting from my first call to set up for a an estimate to through the completion of the job. I was always informed what the options were and when things were going to get done. There was no pressure, all questions were answered, everyone came on time. This was a fairly large project from the tear down of the old fence to the building of the new fence. At the end of the day the quality of the job is the real test - they passed with flying colors. The foreman deserves kudos - (I believe his name is Manuel) and his crew were just as diligent. I've built a few fences in my day and can tell good from no so good work. These guys know their job and take pride in their work! They were meticulous and left the job site in a very clean manner. A number of my neighbors could not believe how quickly and how well the job was done. Their price was a bit higher than an another offer, but frankly, I felt more comfortable with them and in the end I'm extremely glad that I chose them.

This company is a RIP OFF. Do not use them. If they come to give a quote Ask them to remove the mask they are wearing because they are a bunch Of crooks. I have done a Lot business with contractors over the years and have not had any problems. This company Lies then does not back up their work. I have to complete and fix work that was paid for because I figured they would Stand behind the things I was told when we discussed the work to be done. They Lied. Do not use this company. I can only Hope the owners Read this review. You are a Crook, a liar and a thief. Call me so you can Hear my grief real time. Cell [member contact information removed] I repeat do use this company.

The entire experience was seamless and painless. Their professionalism was impeccable and Jeff is the go-to guy! Moving from the suburbs to a very rural area with 2 dogs who have never seen "woods" was a challenge. Jeff was quick to problem solve for us and complete the project within a week. This is the type of customer service we were looking for and found a gem! Materials were delivered the day prior so when the team arrived, they immediately began the work. By mid afternoon the job was completed and you would never know they were there. Not one scrap of material was left, no debris, nothing. One would think the fence was dropped from the heavens and installed. This is the type of attention to detail that makes this the BEST company to work with on a fence project.

From first phone call, through initial estimate and the work day MC Fence was a joy to work with. Great communication from the office, our estimate was performed by KC. KC was very thorough, walked our entire property line and provided a detailed estimate of the repair work needed. Although it was more work than we expected, he had solid rationale and provided a path that would significantly extend the life of our current fence. Materials were delivered within a week, and our crew, led by Jose, were fantastic. They were efficient, knew what they were doing, and did not rush the job. During the final walkthrough, they were more than pleasant in addressing a couple more items. Strongly recommend MC Fence.

Installers were polite and thorough. Clean up was great - nothing left behind.

I normally don't give such high ratings, but MC Fence really exceeded my expectations. The crew decended on my back yard and got the fencing job done - they really know what they are doing and it is evident! KC was so responsive and helpful during the planning/proposal process. My yard looks 100% better and I'm very appreciative. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to my friends and family.

Jeff provided a detailed estimate at the time of his visit--no waiting. He listened to our issues and worked to create a solution. He was very responsive via email and text! They also called Miss Utility and had the materials delivered the day prior to our job. The day of our job, Jeff came out with three men. We all discussed the specific needs (to block a view of our backyard neighbor) and agreed on a plan. Rudy was our main guy--very professional and had a good eye for the design. They dug good holes for the posts, used concrete to set the posts, and even worked around my tender plants that grow along the fence line. They left NO debris behind. The yard was completely clean when they left. Would definitely recommend MC Fence!

This is the third time we have used MC Fence and we cannot say enough good things about this company. We had KC come out and give us an estimate for removing one side of our fence and rebuilding it closer to our actual property line. This was board-on-board with a dip and gothic posts. The job was not as easy as it sounds because it involved boxing in a huge oak tree. We got the estimate the next day and work was able to be scheduled one week later (today). The crew arrived early this a.m. and was done by 2 p.m. What continues to amaze us about MC Fence is that they are committed to customer satisfaction. They build a product of exceptional quality that is right the first time and they do it without any drama. It is actually very interesting to watch how they go about their business. The crew is very methodical in their approach and they check and recheck before they start digging the posts to make sure all is correct. The crew members were very respectful of our property -- being careful not to walk on perennials that had popped up from the ground and cleaning up after themselves. Except for the newness of the wood, you can hardly tell they have been here today. So, the bottomline is if you want to be 100% satisfied with your new fence and not have any anxiety in the process or after the fact: HIRE MC FENCE. Other companies would be well-served to take lessons from this topnotch company.

Let me start by saying I am still waiting for them to follow through with their commitment of their one year warranty, a year later. After making multiple attempts to contact them I finally received is scheduled date for them to come and inspect the issues. 3 scheduled appointments ALL 3 were no call/ no show. On the 4th attempt they finally showed, he assured me that these things were covered under the warranty. Almost a year later I still do not have a scheduled appointment for them to come and fix the issues. The problems during installation, 1st they cut 7" into a tree trunk to run the fence. Damaging the tree so badly I will have to pay to have it removed. When putting in a post they smashed a concrete curb surrounding the pool. They attempted to fix but broke right off within 2 months. Some of the post caps were not attached. The top rail was supposed to be screwed down not nailed. Now there is massive warping of the board. A removable panel was in the contract but never installed. The latch on the gate was screwed into nails, causing the wood to split and the latch won't stay on.

I called the provider today (day of the appointment) to confirm. The person who I spoke with informed me that they failed to log in my number and name . She also told me that they were shorthanded and unable to complete the assessment today. I informed her that I have already scheduled time off of work to complete this and other fence estimates. The person's tone indicated an "I do not care attitude" whether you go with us or not. Their error and manner they treated me today will led me to select another provider.

We were impressed with KC and Mike's professionalism through the experience. The guys worked really hard all day not really stopping at all. We were happy with Jose on walking us around the fence line and going over the work. Definitely would recommend , great quality.

The team at MC was super helpful at every step from price estimates to design to the installation. We encountered significant snow which through a wrinkle in the schedule but MC responded and did their best to accommodate getting the fence in as soon as the weather allowed. I would use them again.

KC and Mike were both great. This is a family owned and operated business and they do not outsource labor. All workers were long-term employees who receive benefits including worker's comp. My initial phone call was handled professionally by Amy and KC came out at the agreed upon time to walk the property with me and get info so that he could get me a quote. Within minutes of leaving our home, I received a follow-up email from KC thanking me for the opportunity to come out and that he would email me a quote the following morning. The quote arrived as promised and we contracted them to replace our existing fence with a new one. We scheduled a date and the installation went without any problems. I would absolutely use them again.
