M.C. Fence and Deck

The installers did a great job, they built an excellent fence. But I wouldn't have gotten the fence I wanted if I wasn't onsite to explain exactly what I wanted. I had met with the estimator the previous week and I thought he wrote down what I wanted but that information was not conveyed to the installers. I am very happy with my fence, they do excellent work. You'll get a great fence if you do these two things: make sure you have EVERYTHING in writing and be onsite during the installation.

It worked out really well. They did a really good job and were very professional. KC the owner was very helpful and wasn't pushy when he came out for the estimate. They were punctual and got the job done in the time stated. His workers were very polite and professional.

I was very pleased with my experience with this company. I made the call and Casey was out within a few days to walk the property and talk to me about our options. He was prepared when I asked to see pictures of the different styles and materials we were considering. We got several other quotes theirs was the best. I then asked Casey if he could come back out to speak with my husband which he did on a Saturday and spent quite a bit of time answering our questions. We made our final decision on Monday I called Melissa on Tuesday to schedule. I was able to make the down payment over the phone. I then asked Melissa if it was possible to schedule for the following Monday. She made a phone call and made it happen. Materials were delivered on Friday and the fence was built on Monday in one day as promised! The guys who dropped the materials off were very considerate placing everything in the driveway so as not to kill the grass. The guys who built the fence cleaned up everything and I do mean everything after themselves. I have found nothing that got left behind not even a small piece of trash. The fence looks beautiful!! I can't say enough nice things about this company. I would recommend them to anyone and would personally use them in the future. Thanks so much to everyone involved and especially to Casey & Melissa you guys are great!!

We first got the quote from MC fence back in May. They were the best priced of the 3 providers we had come out. Billy was great and answered all of our questions. After the initial estimate, we worked with Billy to tweak it to meet our needs which he was happy to do. Communication was a little slower than I would have liked but not an issue at all. We just had the fence installed yesterday and I could not be happier with the end result. My biggest critique in the entire process would be the lack of communication leading up to the installation. No one called to let me know when to expect the crew and what I thought was going to be a morning install, ended up being an afternoon. But once Wilbur and his crew showed up, and after a delay from rain they did a fantastic job. Wilbur and I walked the job site before the install and we got on the same page as far as expectations. He communicated to me well about what his crew was going to do. As they were getting close to finishing, Wilbur and I again walked the site and I was able to point out a few boards that I was not satisfied with, which he had replaced immediately. And when I and he noticed a few nails that had missed their spot in the support beam, he fixed those as well. He was really top notch, I cannot compliment him enough. I would have liked his crew to be a little neater during the construction as far as water bottles, bundling wrap in the yard, etc... but they cleaned everything up before they left and I have no complaints there. The quality of the construction seems great and I am very happy with the look of it all, including the gates. The gates were built on site and are very sturdy and look like they will last for many many years. I would definitely recommend MC Fence.

Work crew was punctual and efficient. They even had to deal with my nutty neighbors who kept trying to give them instructions. There was an incident where my cable/internet/phone connection was cut but MC Fence called it in to Verizon and I had temporary service reinstalled by morning. Verizon also gave me a hard time when they came to do the permanent work, but one phone call to MC Fence and they took care of it.

The entire experience was fantastic. We called for a quote, and Jennifer in the office was very easy to work with and get a date on the books. They are very flexible and were able to come out within two days of calling. KC was the person that came to give the quote, and he was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I gave him the rough idea of what we were looking for, and he was able to draw up a very detailed quote. In fact his knowledge allowed us to get a much better fence than we expected. We thought we were working on a standard wood budget, but he got us into cedar planks for the same price. After drawing up the initial quote he sat down and discussed options and finishes etc with us and then adjusted the quote accordingly. We were very happy with the price based on other estimates. What sold MC fence to us was the fact that they were able to work with our schedule to come out and complete the work. After deciding to go with them, we called back to the office, and they were very open on days they could come work on the project so we had minimal issues with our schedules. What really sold it for us was that MC fence also includes a project manager for your project, so they show up with the work team, go over the plans, double check with the homeowner and then set the team to work. The project manager comes back to check up and make sure it is going to plan. The team that showed up (2 guys!) had the whole project done in one day. They removed the old fence, built the new fence, gates and put on post caps. These guys were fast, but also very good. I was out reviewing the work, and these guys don't miss a thing. This is a professional job, and it looks fantastic. My neighbors on both sides were extremely happy with the look and the work, and when they returned home from work they were shocked to see the new fence and no signs of the workmen anywhere. In other words, these guys are fence ninjas....they slip in, do the work and slip out and you would never know they were there! I cannot recommend MC fence enough. From the front office, to KC the estimator, to the guys doing the work, they were all extremely professional, courteous, and a pleasure to work with.

I met with Billy to get an estimate from the replacement of a dilapidated 6 foot privacy fence. I was initially interested in a 6 foot vinyl or wood privacy fence for the sides of the property and a black aluminum fence for the rear fence line. Billy answered all my questions, suggested potential ideas and even explained the drawbacks of the vinyl fencing. I received the estimate that offered 2 different options. The first was for 6 foot vinyl and 4 foot aluminum. The second was for 6 foot cedar and a picket fence. Because of my own time issues that had nothing to do with this company, I went with a different company for my fence. I will be calling MC Fence back when I am ready to replace my deck. I was very pleased by the knowledgeable information and professionalism that Billy displayed. I regret that my schedule prevented me from finalizing the work with this company.

wonderful- came when they said, did what they said they would, cleaned up after themselves. Worked all day - never saw workmen doing nothing and, even better, never saw any of them on their phones!

We cannot say enough good things about MC Fence & Deck. KC, the estimator, is the person who sealed this deal for the 4 homeowners in the neighborhood. He was incredibly knowledgeable and professional. He emphasized that there would be a foreman on the job at all times. He said he wouldn't be the cheapest but he would guarantee we would be happy with the end result...and we are! They scheduled our job within a week of our signing our contract. The crew showed up at 7:00 a.m. and they did not stop AT ALL until 9:00 p.m. Shane, the foreman, was great about keeping me informed throughout the day and there was no question that he was on top of the entire job. The crew was extremely careful with our plantings and respectful of our property throughout the installation. When they ran into an unanticipated problem -- like having to bust out old concrete posts with tree roots involved -- they tackled it and moved on. I've had a lot of workers in our home over the past 20 years but I have never seen a more industrious and talented crew than we had with MC Fence & Deck. They obviously are experienced craftsmen -- they free cut all the dips without measuring or marking them first. They moved a mountain of old and new fencing and the new fence they constructed for us is just perfect. This contractor and the people who work for him are exceptional and you should not hesitate to use them. It really was a pleasure doing business with them and I highly recommend them to one and all!

I called and was scheduled for an estimate quickly by the person who answered the phone, I think it was maybe 3 days between my call and when they could fit me in. The gentleman showed up on time and was very clean-cut and professionally dressed. He looked at the deck and described the type of work they would do, what kind of results we could expect and measured the deck and took notes. He wrote down my email and said that I could expect an electronic quote no later than Tuesday evening (this was Friday). Up to this point my impression of this company was excellent compared to the other service providers I got quotes from for this job. However, I never received the quote nor any follow up from the company. I also did not contact them again as I felt they must not want my business that badly. I hired another company to do the work.

We found MC Fence to be responsive, efficient, and its work well done and very failrly priced. "KC," with whom we initially dealt, was knowledgable about his trade and craft and provided. His task was made a bit more difficult as he had to deal with two property owners on a shared fence line. But he was able to arrive at a proposal acceptable to both, and at a very reasonable price. The team that came out to do the work first addressed the common fence, as well as the fencing around our neighbor's entire yard. Unfortunately, they did not have enough time to then complete the work scheduled for our property. The team - led by the very efficient Wilbert - spoke with my wife to ensure that they understood what was needed - and came back mid-week the following week to complete the task. They did a very good job of installing the fence along one side of our property, as well as adding a gate and fence to clsoe oof our backyard. My wife was able to interact with them as they completed the latter task. She appreciated that they asked questions to clarify objectives. Wilbert's team did a nice job of cleaning up afterwards as well. We would certainly recommend MC Fence to friends and neighbors.

The guys showed up on time and finished the installation in about 4 hours. They were responsive throughout the entire process whenever I had questions.

I did a lot of research before pursing my fencing project. I met with several contractors before making a decision. When I first met with Mike, I knew he was the guy for the job! His pricing was higher than the three other companies I met with, but I felt he (and his company) would provide better service for me (that's why I gave them a "B" in this category as they were higher in price. But, you get what you pay for!) It was a painless project. Very happy about that! After I received HOA approval, the fencing was ordered and approximately three weeks later it arrived and installation began. Mike was responsive to my emails and all my questions. I would really like to point out that when the crew arrived for installation they were all very professional and polite. Honestly, a few times I had to go outside and see if they were still there. They were so quiet!! It was a very pleasant experience. The crew cleaned up very nicely when the project was completed. The only issue I had was one of the gates did not open properly, but a quick call to Mike and he had Shane (I believe) go out and look at the gate and the next day it was fixed to my satisfaction. The only "suggestion" I have is that when the scheduler says she is going to call you back, she needs to actually do just that - call you back. She called to inform me about installation (which was the next day) and said they would be there on Friday, May 17th. I asked about a timeframe (due to work schedule) and she said she would call me before the end of the day to let me know. She never called. Again, a quick email to Mike and he was able to provide an answer. Maybe there was an internal miscommunication or something, but I'm in the customer service business and customer service is a BIG issue for me. I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt because everything else on this project went very smoothly, I would definitely recommend MC Fence and in fact, plan to call them in the Fall for another fencing project and hopefully a patio project.

It went well. The caps on the top of the fence were not what I thought or saw in the picture, but the owner is coming back out to install them at no cost, but the cost of the cap ornament to the top of each rail.

At first, it seemed like a very smooth operation. They emailed us back within the hour of our quote request to provide options for an appointment and we selected one. My husband met him, but they never sent us an estimate as he had said he would. When I tried to follow up after the estimate, there was no response. I was very disappointed.

These guys were very responsive in providing a free estimate and advice, and were patient with my HOA approval process. The price for replacing our 100' fence was the lowest of the offers even though there were some existing conditions they had to deal with. The new 6' board-on-board fence looked great. The materials and quality of work were excellent. KC, the front office, and the work crew were fast, professional, and friendly. There were some minor cleanup items that they quickly took care of. Overall we were very pleased with MC Fence and would definitely recommend them and use them again.

I contacted MC Fence in March to install a new fence in the back yard of my property. Their price was slightly higher than the lowest bid, however I was impressed with their professional response, dialogue, and sales person. They were very prompt in following up with me with an estimate. After HOA approval we set a time for the installation and MC arrived on time and installed the fence in one day. The next week they returned and applied the stain. They did a very good job on the installation and staining and I am very pleased with their work. Billy , and Mike were were prompt, responsive, and very reliable.

Mike and KC did a terrific job recommending and installing a beautiful fence at our residence. The quality and workmanship is top shelf and their team was professional, congenial, friendly, and did a superb job cleaning up. We could not be more pleased.

An A rating isn't good enough to describe this company. Just stop looking and hire these people. It doesn't get any better. They were very helpful in choosing the correct type of fencing, pricing was great, and they were quick to come back and install the fencing. The sample pictures of the fencing didn't do it justice. The real thing looked much better and exceeded expections. I can't say enough good things about them. They're an example of what all companies should be like.

Immediately came for an estimate. As soon as I signed the contract, the job was scheduled for the following week. They sent out the PM early the day of the job to double check what I wanted to have done. Work was done quickly and with high quality. Would definitely recommend them again.

All through the process M.C. Fence and Deck was very professional and responsive. I obtained three quotes from different businesses, based on my providing the measurements. M.C. Fence actually came out to measure for themselves, and found that I had measured incorrectly (the gates were longer than what I had measured). As their price was very similar to the other two quotes I had received, and they came out and made the correct measurements, I decided to work with them. There was a delay of a couple of weeks because the gates themselves were backordered, but as soon as they came in M.C. Fence was out to install them. They did a great job and I am very pleased with the results.

I thought they were great and everything they did was perfect.

The lumber arrived the afternoon of 4/16/2013. They unloaded it in my driveway to that there would be no damage to my side lawn. The four-man crew arrived at 0830 on 4/17/2013 and started to work immediately. They first removed the old fencing and placed it in their haul-away truck. The next step was to dig up the old fence posts and put them in the truck. The crew then laid out the new post for my 216 feet of fencing. After they made sure that the layout was right, two men started digging the new holes. The posts were set in about 2 or 2.5 feet and cemented in with sacrete. While the posts were setting they cut and laid out all of the support rails. By the time this was done the first posts were set and construction could begin. While one man installed the rails, two others started laying out all of the other parts to the fence. The fourth man was constantly cleaning up the area so that debris never built up. The fence was built relatively quickly using their method. The last thing they did was to build and install two gates. One gate was 48 inches wide and one was 60 inches wide. They both had curved tops that actually dressed up the appearance of the fence even more than the lattice. The gates were supported on 6X6 posts so that they will not eventually droop. The whole job from start to final clean up took 11 hours. During this time there was never "no work" going on. The crew staggered breaks and lunch so someone was always working. Shane Boyle, project supervisor, came by every couple of hours to make sure everything was going well and I was happy. Mike Colwell, President of the company, came by also to make sure everything was up to my expectation. I was so impressed with the workmanship and professionalism that I have contracted M.C. Fencing and Decking to build a new deck.
