M.C. Fence and Deck

A tenant contacted me because his fence and gate had been damaged in a recent storm. I contacted MC Fence & Deck and they went to take a look. Unfortunately they left the estimate at the property rather than sending it to me so a few weeks went by but when I found out what happened I got a copy of the estimate and contracted them to do the work. I was extremely impressed with the result - they use 6x6" posts to replace the old 4x4" ones and the resulting fence is very strong. They did considerably more work than I expected but it was all covered by the quoted price. A really nice job!

The company was fast, professional and accommodating. They completed everything in one day. Because they had a conflicting job on the initial day we were scheduled and we had to be moved, they also installed a mailbox post free of charge for our inconvenience. I would definitely recommend and use them again!

Overall I would definitely recommend MC Fence and Deck. I felt their prices were very competitive and the job was done well. KC went over several fence options with me and I felt was very honest about what the most logical option would be for our yard. I appreciated the fact that he did not try to sell us something more expensive that we would have been unhappy with. We ended up with a beautiful new fence.

MC did a quality job, they helped me to identify ways to save money. The build called for metal railings, one company had quoted me to installing the railings one by one and then painting them black per the design plans. MC suggested getting pre-fabricated ones that were already black. This saved on both labor and time which ended up saving me money in the end. The other thing was that the other builders wanted to charge me $2000 to move an electrical outlet to the "inside" of the deck in order for it to pass inspection. MC suggested extending the deck a mere few inches, which would still be in the bounds of the permits, would still pass inspection etc... I really appreciated Jeff's honesty here. I gave the same design plans to the 3 other deck builders and MC was by far the cheapest. We didn't chose MC solely based on price, they had also installed our fence a few months prior and had done work for several friends. There were a couple of issues that required follow up, a cracked post cap, a post not fully erect at 90 degrees that took a bit of communication back and forth - this was the reason for the C in responsiveness. They did eventually get everything done that they said they would we are very happy with the results of the deck and will use them again in the future and recommend them to friends and family.

Started on time. Finished on time. Cleaned up. Excellent service at a good price.

Everything went great! I had gotten estimates from 4 different companies and MC Fence & Deck was the lowest bid by $800. The work was done in 1 day as promised, and the crew chief was very cordial and professional. The fence looks fantastic and I could not be more pleased with the results. I would definitely recommend MC Fence and Deck to anyone needing fence work.

Son's House Excellent. I needed this fence on short notice and they worked with my schedule; suggested gate, locations, and colors. I was very pleased.

From the initial appointment for an estimate through completion of the project, MC Fence and Deck were polite, professional and easy to work with. We had an old five board fence replaced with side by side six feet tall privacy fencing. They worked with us on price, helped us obtain 6 month interest free financing, and were even able to complete the job a week sooner than estimated. The workers showed up on time, conferred with us on how to handle exposed tree roots, and completed the whole job in one day. The finished project looks great!

They did a good job. However, there were a few problems but they came out and fixed the problems once notified. The original crew had some issues but I understand they were let go and now they have better people working for them.

MC Fence did a terrific job with our fence. We had used them before and would definitely use them again. The sales rep (Mike) explained the options and helped us choose the best one. The folks in the office were very helpful. And the installers did high quality work. Working with MC was was a very pleasant experience and we will gladly recommend them to our friends and neighbors.

They removed the old fence down and had the new fence up by 3:00 in the afternoon. As they were cleaning up to leave, a large tree fell on the fence. They cut the tree up for us and repaired the section of fence at no additional charge. Very professional.

Latest: the work was performed and the quality was very good. The owner came to the site to supervise. Staff were professional and efficient. Updated scores reflect interactions within the last week. UPDATE: Owner has apologized for poor service. Installation is scheduled for this week. Will update when work is performed. Lumber sitting on driveway, delivery date missed, despite 4 calls, no reschedule date...???

We had MC Deck and Fence install a 6 ft privacy fence for us. From start to finish the service was exceptiona l. The owne...r himself gave me a quote and personally managed the project coming by the property several times making sure work was performed to his standards. The attention to detail was fantastic. As someone with dogs, and small children we needed our job done in one day. They came in removed our old fence and installed the new one in one day with no problems. They cleaned the yard and left nothing but a perfect fence behind. I can't recommend this company enough!!!

The material arrived the evening the day before work. The delivery crew made sure the material would not block our driveway or create a problem in the street. The installation crew arrived about 15 minutes early. The crew chief and I walked around the back yard and inspected the existing chain link fence. He checked to ensure Miss Utility had properly marked the yard. The crew got right to work. While two guys took down the existing fence, two more started removing the old fence posts and digging the holes larger to accommodate the wood posts. The existing fence was gone in about an hour. At the end of the day, the crew chief walked the yard with me to inspect the fence. Perfect. I have dogs. They made sure there were no gaps anywhere that would allow my dogs to escape. The team scoured the yard for debris and then double checked to ensure that they did not miss anything. They did not. Except for the noise of the hammers and saws, we did not even know that they were there.

I would like to thank Mike C, who is the owner, for turning a bad situation into a postive one. I cant thank him enough for his professionalism in dealing with the situation that we were initially given. The fence looks wonderful!

MC Fence was easy to work with and the quality of the fence seems good so far (I'm not an expert of course). I think the price/value was good, though honestly I didnt get any competing estimates so I dont know for sure. They worked very quickly, getting me scheduled right away, and the fence was installed in one day. I'm quite pleased with the overall experience.

They were supposed to start at around 8 am, but called to say that they wouldn't be here until around noon. At noon, they called to say they'd be here in about 30 minutes, but didn't show up until 1:00. So off to a kind of rocky start, but they got everything done in one day, mostly by calling additional men in to work on the job. The final product was excellent, both in quality and workmanship. Other than the punctuality issue, the only other negative was the lack of English proficiency by the crew. THere was only one guy who could communicate reasonably well. With the others, we had to make do with gestures and some rudimentary Spanish.

I was really please with the service, efficiency and the professionalism of the team. The fence is of good quality as well.

MC was exceptional and delivered on this extremely complicated low budget task. An added complexity came up as I was trying to coordinate with my patio contractor who needed the column removed prior to his work starting. MC was fantastic! They advanced my install time by 10 days and when it rained on the day on which it was scheduled, they actually apologized for not being able to do this complicated project in the rain and promptly came out the following day and got it done. The next day, they stared early, found out they would need additional help lifting the new 400 pound beam up on the two ladders to replace the old one, and promptly had the additional personnel their to complete the project.

All in all the experience was a positive one. Received a couple of other price quotes and they were all around the same amount. Mike was very professional and forthcoming with advice and suggestions. He did not try to over sale his product. The crew that came and did the work, completed it in one day. The whole crew were professional My only grip was that a few board are cracked, but with so much wood that was expected and it does not deter from the fence. Nothing is perfect. The fence came out really nice and seems really sturdy. I would definitely do business with Mike again.

MC Fence did a fantastic job replacing our backyard fence. We had a dilapidated split rail, which we replaced with a gothic Pickett fence. Mc Fence was extremely professional and did a wonderful job on the overall construction. Additionally they easily and positively made minor adjustments to the fence (post location, types of handles/locks) on the fly and without hesitation. The materials are first class. Truly appreciate their customer service. Have already recommended to family and friends.

I contacted MC Fence and Deck for two jobs, a fence installation and a new flagstone patio. I communicated this to the person when I set up my estimate appointment. The gentleman who showed up for the estimate said he only estimated fences but would take the patio specifics back and have someone look at it an contact me, that never happened. I went ahead and had the fence installed and the job went well and we are very happy with the fence. When the same gentleman came by our home to check on the fence job, I asked him about the patio estimate, he said one of the owners was looking at it but was very busy and he would follow up with them. I still have not heard from anyone regarding a patio estimate. I'm torn on whether I would recommend this company or not, they did a very good and timely job on my fence, but blew me off on the patio. I was hoping to bundle this work and have it done by now, but I am now left searching for a good patio contractor.

MC Fence was really easy to work with and have great customer service, but I am not thrilled with the end results. From a distance the work looks really great. However, the wood used is not of the beast quality and when you look at the fence from certain angle, you can see the spray paint that was on the wood that was used. Also, there are some design issues that an experienced design consultant should have picked up on prior to installation. For instance, the gate open towards the sidewalk (instead of into the yard) and blocks passage. Also, it is hard to get inside the house from the landing due to the direction of the door opening and access to the HVAC unit is restricted because of the stair railing. All of the issues could have been easily avoided with better planning. Lastly, the gates have had to be adjusted three times with in a year (which is also annoying), but MC came out and corrected the issue fairly promptly each time.

I called a variety of fence companies but was hopeful I could do business with MC Fence based on the very positive reviews on Angies List and other websites. To my pleasure, they were the most responsive and eager to get the job. They didn't come in the lowest, but they did work with me on the final cost to make it a more competitive quote. That said, I feel that they really shined and the quality of the work was top notch - well worth the money. I highly recommend them. They could not have been easier to work with.
