Looney's Tile & Grout

the shower/tub tile and grout were extremely dirty and in dire need of repair. they came out, provided the estimate and the service tech that came out to perform the service was friendly, efficient and did an awesome job. the shower/tub looks brand new and i couldn't be happier.

The project was expected to be two phases that became three phases. We asked the caulk match what was there--which was clear. But they applied almond. The estimator said the entire shower did not need to be recaulked which resulted in a significant mismatch--half clear and half the almond they applied. After expressing our dismay about how bad it looked--and speaking with the owner, they agreed to come back and redo the caulking to match. We agreed to pay the additional cost for caulking for the entire shower. It was never about the price but how it looked. And the result was to get back on the schedule we were unable to use the showers for 3 weeks. The most disappointing is that the caulk in one of the showers has not held up and we are having to have it done again. I think this company wants to do good work but they did not for me. So the price would be reasonable but only if it lasted more than 6 months.

It went well, but caulking was missed under the step into the shower.

I was so satisfied from the first phone call to the company to schedule to the very end. The workers were kind and did a great job and I've told everyone I know they should go with Looney's for all their tile work. I'm getting ready to call them to re-grout my shower next.

The repairman did an excellent job.

They did a great job. Came out to do an estimate. My shower was much larger than in the original deal I purchased, but they offered a very reasonable increase to take care of the whole thing. Person I dealt with was extremely professional, and helpful. They were even accommodating when I had to shorten the window they had to do the work in due to my schedule. They came back on a second day to finish due to my schedule without any complaint or additional charge. work quality was great!

The service and responsiveness were great. We planned a partial shower repair, but changed our mind to a full repair just as work was getting started. Mr. Looney never missed a beat. He worked with us and was very patient while we decided on our new tile. The workers were prompt, efficient and careful with their work. Mr. Looney was in and out but the supervision needed was minimal. We were very pleased with the quality of the work and would definitely use them again!

Looney's Tile provided one of several estimates for retiling our master bathroom floor and shower. I was impressed from the start--when Michael Looney came for the initial estimate he carefully described the work his company would do, and the work they would not do. Most contractors claim expertise in everything--I respect a company that claims expertise in a discrete task. I selected this company based on the price (very competitive), their professionalism, and their willingness to work with me organizing the work. Erskine White did most of the tile work and he was exactly what you want in a tile person--a perfectionist. He had some great ideas and suggestions about the tile layout, he worked tirelessly, and when there were problems he and Michael Looney helped to solve them. We changed some design elements mid-project (the number and location of niches) and they worked to accommodate our revisions, both in terms of planning and pricing. We only had one serious issue and Looney's Tile helped us solve it. Our tile provider, Mosaic Tile, supplied us with the wrong color grout (bright white instead of our ordered grey grout). Looney's helped to fix this problem by color-sealing the grout and it looks good. It is rare that a home improvement project turns out better than one had hoped. Looney's Tile worked like we were their most important customer--I can't recall a team working so h****** our behalf. I highly recommend them for any and all work.

I recently moved into a 10 year old townhome that was poorly maintained by the previous owner. They also tried DIY and used improper caulk in the shower in preparing the TH for the market. Looney's "rejuvenated" the shower to look brand new with brighter tiles post their cleaning, replaced missing grout, and new caulk that was appropriate in material and color. the technician was neat and pleasant . I will continue to use Looney.

Just wanted to update my review. After not being 100% satisfied with the good job they did, Looney services kindly came back to fix the cracking grout issue I had. The cracked grout is due to what I though was a prior water/leak issue but is still having effects, causing the grout to crack. Frank from Looney Services did excellent repair work on the grout. This company obviously takes much pride in their services and cares very much about customer satisfaction. They were very pleasant to work with and I recommend them for your tiling projects

They did an awesome job and even made suggestions on how I should clean it in the future.

Michael Looney is the consummate professional. His office had excellent pre-visit contact, he visited beforehand to gauge the job, and he expertly performed the job with friendliness and courtesy. This was an Angie's list coupon, and I appreciated the excellent service for the reduced cost. I would definitely call Looney's Tile & Grout again.

Deal was for cleaning and repair of grout in shower. Michael came on June 11 to examine the shower and evaluate the work to be done. He estimated that the work could be done within the coupon costs for the deal. We had some difficulty scheduling the service due to conflicts on our availability. Amy worked with us to schedule the work and Michael arrived as scheduled and completed the work without any problems. The work performed met all of my expectations and cleanup was spotless. Michael was very pleasant to work with and I would not hesitate to call him again for any other work of this nature and I highly recommend him.

He was a nice guy and he listened to my concerns. He was punctual and professional. He was likeable and he did a good job. I paid extra, because they did grout restoration too.

The estimate was timely and appropriate. We set up an appointment on a day my husband could take off from work, only to get a call the same morning that a calendar sync error resulted in our appointment not being met. Well, they were GREAT. The office worked to find a way that we could still have our shower done on the day that we requested it, and they showed up as negotiated, did the work (which was perfect) and apologized profusely for the screw up in the earlier time. Stuff happens, and it was really refreshing to have a service provider take responsibility and work it out in a way that worked for the customer. Would definitely use them again.

Very pleased with all work completed in two bathrooms. I was disappointed that kitchen and foyer floor tile and grout didn't come cleaner. Some individual tiles were cleaner and lighter than others, grout was left with a white residue in places, and after the job was completed there was an unsightly film of sealant left on the tiles that could be felt and seen. It took several washings to finally remove it on the surface of tiles. The project consultant, Frank Morales, was very efficient and professional answering all my questions and always returning phone calls (as was everyone at the company that I spoke with on the phone). Technicians were very hard working and professional. It was easy and a pleasure to work with everyone at this company.

Tore out old tile, put in new tiles and thresholds. Three days work for each bathroom. Estimate mentioned that there maybe extra labor assessed once work began depending on removal of original tile. Original tile was basically installed over concrete. Was told it would be extra 2 hrs...which was fine with me. Outstanding work and service. When installer(Erskine)would leave for the day , he would say what time would be there the next day. Two times he called saying he'd be there a little later than planned. So...on these days instead of arriving at 8am.....he arrived at 8;05 am! Nice touch by proving a trim piece over the base wall tile and 1/4 wood trim in front of the thresholds. Very professional organization from installer to scheduler and billing. VERY responsive to any issue.

The shower was really unpleasant looking with mildew, etc, to the point that we were thinking of replacing the whole thing, at great expense.The provider did a great job, cleaned it up to the point that I don't feel I need to go to the trouble to replace it. Plus he was a great guy, super nice to work with. On time. Definitely would recommend to anyone
