Bismarck responded promptly to my telephone call requesting an estimate. He showed up right on time, maybe even a tad early. He was very thorough. He was planning to email me the estimate, but I asked him for one on the spot, which he was happy to do. We got a couple of other estimates that were all around the same price range, but decided to go with Bismarck because he seemed like he would get the job done, and get it done right. We weren't disappointed. Removing the paneling and putting up the drywall was $1000 of the overall charge, which I think was reasonable. They had to move a couple of outlets and the cable plug an inch or so forward to make up for the difference in depth depth between the drywall and the paneling (something I hadn't even thought of.) They also replaced some trim to match the drywall. They did a great job with the painting. My husband is very particular about paint jobs, and he couldn't find fault with this one. No drips, or careless splatters. There were a few little drops of paint on our floors (nothing out of the ordinary) , but Bismarck and one of his workers came back the next day to clean them up to our satisfaction. I should mention that all of the work was done in ONE day! His crew was fast, and hard working. And punctual! It's obvious that Bismarck cares about doing a good job. In fact, Bismarck saw a spot on the wall that he thought needed touching up, and he had his employee do it without me having to ask. I wouldn't hesitate to use Lomar Painting again.

Overall the job turned really good. Painters showed on time and were working very efficiently. Initially we had to call 'Lomar' and remind them to email us the estimate, but after that they were very responsive and always returning calls. I however have one remark. They were supposed to work a day and a half ( as I was told when Bismark came to make the estimate). The first day the painters did most of the work. I however wanted them to return the next morning and put another coat of paint in one of the rooms as I could still clearly see the paint beneath which was darker color ( Bismark said no Primer was necessary when he came to do the estimate). However he then said he could not send the painters the next day. He claimed they were supposed to work only a day because of the "extra guy" he sent and that I could keep the painters as long as I wanted until the job was done to my satisfaction. It was 9:30 pm. After another phone call he accepted our arguments and agreed to send his team the next day. After the work was completely done, the rooms looked perfect! I would recommend this company and would use their services again, but would definitely ask for a more detailed estimate as to avoid any misinterpretation. And if you hire them definitely do supervise them. Their attention to details isn't always great. Sometimes paint slips onto the windows frames or carpet.

Bismarck and his team were on time, courteous, clean and behaved professionally. We were very pleased with the quality of their work. Highly recommended.

Bismark was easy to work with, has a great crew, and delivered according to expectations. I recommend his company and will use them again for future work.

This is the second major paint job Lomar has performed for us. They flawlessly executed major drywall installation and repair. They did a superlative job repairing popcorn ceiling water damage and holes. They also repaired a DIY chair rail removal (trust me, I did a lousy job!) that I believed could never be fixed! They then painted the lot of it: basement section, family room and kitchen, hall foyer, up steps and all the detail molding on them. They did all of this in two days. I also must mention that we just had an entire kitchen demo and reno and I knew that the Lomar crew would be very conscientious and meticulous painting around my new maple cabinets and granite counter. Of course they didn't let us down!

Estimate was one of three I got. Dollar amount was comparable to the others. The detail in the estimate did not match that of the others. Mr. Lopez did offer to come meet with me to discuss any questions I may have.

Bismarck is by far one of the easiest contractor's to contact. He answers your phone call 99% of the time and if he didn't answer it he calls you back within an hour or so of when you called. I contacted Bismarck , as he was highly rated on Angie's List for both price, professionalism, and quality. He met every expectation calling me back to schedule a date, sending the contract in a timely manner, getting the paint I wanted and requested, arriving on time, and giving me a very good price - very competitive and slightly lower than other painters within the area. His team did an excellent job painting my two story foyer and the landing and I would have them come out and paint for me again. Overall he had excellent service and quality.

It went great. They showed up on time, were very punctual. Kept the work area clean, and cleaned up when they left. Very responsive to questions/concerns.

We asked 3 companies for estimates. Lomar gave us the fastest reply and Bismarck came out to do the esimtate within 3-4 days. I had all the estimates by the next week. Lomar's estimate was just a little under the others. I was pleased with the estimate; it was less than I had thought it would be. I went with Lomar because of the promptness and ability to schedule soon. They came out for the job about a week later. I wasn't able to give them an exact color code for the paint, but I they were able to match a sample piece quite well. The only question that came up was exactly which day they were going to paint on. The crew came out the first day scheduled for power wash and to replace the wood. We had expected them the next day for the paint, but found out at the last minute they would come a few days later due to a possible rain forecast. They were on time for the painting, and it was done quickly, in about about half a day. My wife and I thought we knew exactly which pieces of trim we wanted painted, but after they finished we realized we should have had them paint the corner trim to match. We called them back and they came out the next day to do it. Bismarck said he wouldn't charge us for that as long as we still had enough paint. That was great, we appreciate their effort to put in a couple more hours without charge when it was an afterthought on our part. The painting looks well done and they cleaned up well without us losing any of the newly planted flowers around the yard.

While I was on vacation the week before closing on my new house, I was searching for painters on Angie's List to repaint the ceiling (they were all beige). Lomar Painting jumped to the top of my search due to the Angie's List awards and great recommendations. I gave Bismarck a call and met with him the day I got keys to the new house. He got a crew in line and had the work completed the next day, including some drywall replacement where there had been a leak. When I noticed some additional drywall damage that had been overlooked, he sent someone in the same day and got that fixed and painted. Lomar Painting's speed and professionalism really impressed me. Lomar was one of three quotes we received. While it was not the lowest it was competitive. A schedule was set up, which was bedeviled by periods of rain. The owner, Bismark Lopez has a large and professionally outstanding crew, who showed up on time, paid attention to detail and got the job done. The colors were nicely matched, the trim was precisely done, and the coating excellent. The quality was superb! We have since recommended Lomar to our neighbors, and they are working on a house across the street.

Wow! Sent them an e-mail noon Friday requesting an estimate. Estimate received that day. Spoke to the owner, Bismarck Lopez, and had a very nice conversation. Warm and professional. Bismarck told me that they'd have my townhouse powerwashed on Sunday and I left them a check. I was out all day and returned to find my home looking like new. What a great job. Thanks!

By far the best experience we ever had with a painter. Bismarck came the same day I phoned for an estimate. He arrived on time and provided a very reasonable cost. He worked with our schedule and made all of the arrangements for paint, trim, made paint recommendations when we were unsure, and was responsive in every way. The crew was great - skilled, neat & tidy - dropcloths and careful trim work. They finished on time and were respectful to our property and to our idiosyncrasies! We have more painting to do, including some built-ins and the living and dining rooms - Lomar Painting will receive our business.

They had to paint 12 rooms. They always showed up on time. They did a very thorough job. I had a good overall experience with them.

They had the best price of the estimates I received, and they were very responsive. I have not had the work done yet, but I am certainly considering them. They are coming out for a second walk through.

Excellent. From start to finish Bismarck (owner of Lomar) stays engaged and ensures satisfaction. The workmen that come to your home are extremely polite and respectful. No worries there. I can not adequately express how pleased I am with Lomar. In the Washington DC area it is so hard to find reliable service, I am so glad that I found Lomar (on Angie's List BTW). I have hired them for three different jobs now and am extremely pleased with all.

Perfect as always. This was the third time that I have used Lomar and they never let me down. Bismarck always answers the phone, schedules me as soon as possible, and stays in contact. I can't say enoough good things about Lomar. They have always done the best job and have never disappointed me.

Throughout the process, Lomar's team, was professional, on time, and extremely nice. In fact, one of us was home very ill the first week they were in the house doing major work on a room on the third floor and they did everything possible to be unobtrusive and quiet. Bismarck's brother, Gerardo, was super nice and, as the crew chief, and he was always making sure that the crew cleaned up, moved furniture back, and that we were happy. Their work was of outstanding quality, and neither Bismarck nor Gerardo ever quibbled when I pointed out something else I wanted done -- somehow they managed to add it on and get it all done in the time they'd committed to.

I highly recommend Lomar Painting. The owner, Bismarck, is very responsive as is Gerardo, his brother and the foreman on our job. They take pride in their work and are careful about who they hire. They were more than willing to go the extra mile -- including pulling out a built-in freezer for us when the repair man showed up but refused to pull it out ("not in my job description.") We noticed a few oversights weeks after the work was done (and after we paid) and Gerardo came back promptly to make the touch ups. It was not an easy job --there were a lot of colors to work with and the contractor had not left the walls in great shape. But Lomar Painting took everything in stride and did a terrific job. Just a pleasure to work with.

OUTSTANDING SERVICE!! All aspects of the job were handled in a prompt, friendly, courteous and professional manner by Bismarck Lopez, the owner of the company. Beginning with the initial contact, and then throughout the project, it was very apparent that our COMPLETE SATISFACTION was his top priority. He was easily reached via phone or email if we had anything to discuss and he gladly worked around our family's challenging schedule. His skilled crew was very efficient, neat and courteous, and remained upbeat despite working in rather chilly and windy weather conditions. Overall, we felt that the Lomar Painting team delivered very high quality service with honesty and integrity, and we look forward to working with them again in the near future.

This company is super. They were responsive to my phone call and came with an estimate. They started when they said they would and finished right on time. They were pleasant to have in my home. They did a good clean-up.

Everyone showed up promptly at 0830 as agreed to. Bismarck reviewed all the work that needed to be performed again with us, and then passed along any special instructions to his crew. Before they started any work they hug their own "new" plastic and drop cloths, and very carefully moved furniture as needed. The walls were lightly sanded to remove any imperfections. Rollers and brushes were used to apply paint. Two coats of paint were applied. The seam between the ceiling and the walls came out straight and clean. The edges along the moldings and the walls also came out outstanding. The crew worked very hard during the day and stayed until the job was finished that evening around 6:00 PM. No one was rushing out the door to try to beat any traffic and go home for the night. After the painting was complete, Bismarck inspected the work with us to see if there was any thing that need to be touched up, there was not. The crew cleaned up their equipment, sealed the paint cans, cleaned up the drop cloths / plastic, carefully moved the furniture backed, and vacuumed the floors. During the entire job, everyone was very polite and professional. The finished product looked outstanding and we were very pleased with the results. We were also very pleased with the price of the work.

I was so pleased with the initial project, that I contracted him a little while later to do another repair project in the house. I would highly recommend Lomar to anyone needing general repair work or painting.

Our electrician did a really bad job on the light switch. Lomar came in and fixed the drywall, out of courtesy for me. They're wonderful to work with.
