Great experience. Bismark was very professional. He came on time for the estimate. He provided a quick estimate and stuck to the estimate. He communicated very well which is a huge plus for me. Most contractors I have worked with are very poor communicators and I have to chase them down. Bismark was straightforward and easy to talk to and work with. His team worked quickly and cleaned up reasonably well after. I would definitely use them again.

Lomar powerwashed our house and decks including a screen porch. I didn't realize how dirty the house really was until it was all cleaned up. The crew was professional and prompt. Very prompt since we thought they were going to do the work in August-a typing error on the calendar- so it was a surprise to come home to a flurry of work.:-) Their equipment broke partially through the job but the crew returned the next morning to finish up as promised. The decks look amazing and our screen porch is actually usable. We are now going to use Lomar for some interior painting.

Bismarck runs the service, and he was wonderful. I moved into a new apartment and needed several contractors to come through - fraught with organizational difficulty. I had to change the date on Bismarck, then left him hanging until I could rearrange and figure out a new date, and he was so "can-do" about the situation. In the end, I was crunched for time, and he had his men work a 12-hr day to bring the job in on schedule. The job itself was done beautifully - the patching was smooth, the painting looks great, there was no mess left behind, and the crew courteous. I couldn't ask for anything more, and at an affordable price.

Top notch experience from start to finish! Bismark gave me an email quote for wood rot repair - he toured while I was at work. His team fixed a botched job from another contractor done a few years ago. They fixed the wood, sanded and repainted all the front porch columns and trim, and recaulked all of my windows. They were on time, professional and cleaned up all debris. The job was by the hour but when paint was required only one man went to the store. The other one kept working - not something you see with all contractors. I would recommend them to anyone - I have started to make another list of work they can do in the autumn!

Great experience from start to finish. I initially contacted Lomar Painting via phone and then corresponded throughout via e-mail; Bismarck is thorough, quick to respond and very professional. I had contacted other companies for estimates, his prices are competitive and in the end I went with this company due to his responsiveness (easy to coordinate with), positive feedback from co-workers / web reviews & his support for Veterans. I'm glad we did ... especially since we adjusted our original paint selection and our timeline was thrown off due to a delay in Closing on our home purchase. We also had them strip thick, heavily glued wallpaper in one of the baths where they also ensured the papered vent was taken care of, patched up the damaged walls, and painted walls, ceiling & trim. Looks like new. When we adjusted our original paint concept (prior to paint purchase and initiation of work) to include 2-colors in several rooms; throughout Bismarck easily adapted and ensured I understood how the changes would influence the overall price. Clear communication ensured there were no surprises with pricing; what a relief! The delay in our Closing on on home purchase threw a series of other repairs and previously coordinated home improvement actions into flux and on a very tight timeline; throughout Bismarck helped us figure out best sequencing for the paint work, remained professional and he surged with a crew of 8+ painters in order to complete the project on our desired, original timeline. The Lomar Painting team did fantastic work, super courteous, cleaned up so well you'd never know they were here, and after the paint dried put drapes back up in the rooms; all I can say is AWESOME! From administrative coordination to interaction with the workers, everything went smoothly, I highly recommend Lomar Painting and look forward to working with them again!

They had the best price out of all my estimates. This is the second job that they have done for me. He came out and did everything very professionally. From his estimate to the actual job, he was very easy to work with. He was very flexible and willing to work along with my schedule. When he came out, he had a really good crew of people working. The job was completed during the time frame that he gave me. I would highly recommend them.

.The team of workers are fast, neat and professional. They are courteous and do an excellent job. The owner Bismark is very professional and is not a rip off artist. He is fair and can be trusted to provide quality work at a good price. Just a note: when I became unsure of the color I chose (large room, half painted) Bismark was ready and willing to have me go pick another color and start over. I kept the color I had (grew on me). However, I was impressed with how he handled my indecision. It was not a problem and they wouldn't leave unless I was happy. They are professional. My neighbors loved our paint job and used them too!

I received the quote when they said I would, was responsive to my inquires, arrived when they said and finished when they said-overall a very professional company to work with.

Everything went very well. It started with Bismarck stopping by for an onsite estimate appt. I received the estimate two days later via email. I was more than pleased with the estimate. I was trying to stay within a budget, and Bismarck provided a breakdown of costs for me. Everything was reasonable. Through multiple emails, I was provided prompt answers to my questions, confirmed the work that I would like completed, and scheduled an appointment three weeks after my onsite appt. I was given an arrival time of 8am-9:30am, and four workers arrived by 9am. Everyone was very friendly and professional throughout the entire job. They took their shoes off right away and walked through the house with me to go over the work to be completed and ask any questions. Once everything was understood, they got started and worked diligently throughout the entire two days. They moved all furniture to the center of the room and protected everything with plastic. All floors were protected as well. I didn't think much effort would go into prepping the walls, but I was wrong. Much of the first day was simply prepping the walls and repairing the damaged ceiling around an air vent. In addition, I have to admit, I didn't expect the end result to be as nice as it is. It's an older place, with some quirks in the baseboards, trim and ceiling. From the fireplace, to french doors, trim and ceiling....everything was done wonderfully with straight, clean lines. Things that I thought would be overlooked were taken care of. The place was a mess before LP's work. The previous owner treated the place horribly. It's a brand new place to me now. I appreciate the great work that LP has done! I will not hesitate to recommend LP.

I called and spoke with Bismark to request a quote for the drywall repair and painting. He asked me to send him the information by email. I emailed him with the details that evening, including a few pictures of the damaged wall. He responded by the next morning that they could do the work hourly and estimated 4 hours. I was in a hurry to schedule the work because I was putting my house on the market. He was able to schedule it for the following Monday. He confirmed that they could use the paint that we already had. On Monday morning Bismark emailed me. Because of significant rains the night before his crews were getting started a little late, and he let me know that the person he was sending out would be to my house at about 11. Abel arrived and introduced himself. He went right to work. He put up a screen of plastic to protect the house from dust while he repaired the drywall. He was very professional and respectful. At about 3:30 he asked if he could come back the next day, since a larger patched area needed to dry overnight before he put on the final coat of paint. We arranged for him to come back the next afternoon. Bismark emailed me that evening to confirm the time. Abel returned the next day and completed the final coat. The wall looks great. We received compliments from our realtor on the final product, and it looked excellent in the pictures we used to list the house. I will continue to use Lomar Painting. Bismark is friendly and professional. His workers are polite and respectful, and do excellent quality work. I had previously used this company for exterior trim painting and was also satisfied with that experience.

Our experience with Bismarck and his carpenters was top notch. He responded immediately to my emails and was always punctual and professional. He listened to our requests and worked with us to create a cabinet and shelf unit that is both functional and attractive. He gave us an accurate estimation of the time it would take to finish the job, and inspected the work before any payment was made. I highly recommend him .

From the first email, Bismarck was incredibly responsive and a pleasure to work with. I scheduled an estimate via email, and he arrived 15 minutes early, which was just fine with me. He listened very attentively to all of the work I wanted to have done, and he said he would email me the estimate within a day or two. The email estimate arrived less than 48 hours later, and his price was more than reasonable for the amount of work I needed to have done. He was also up front with me that he wouldn't be able to fit me into the schedule for at least 3 weeks, but that was also fine with me. We scheduled the work for July 5th, and I was told the work would take 2 days to complete. The work didn't end up starting until July 6th due to all of the power outages in the DC area, but Bismarck was quick to let me know that they were behind schedule, but he assured me they would start the work on the 6th. His team arrived early on the 6th, and I went over all of the work that was scheduled with his crew, as well as making sure all of the walls were being painted the correct colors. The whole team was very nice and professional, and I left them to do there thing as I went off to work. When I came home I was amazed to find about 10-12 people working full steam in the rental unit, all of the walls had been patched and repaired, and painting was underway. The team ended up working from 7:30am-8pm, and miraculously completed all of the work in one day. The actual quality of the work was top notch. All of the cutting in was super clean, and all of the walls look brand new. The crew was also incredibly careful to protect my hardwood floors, and they cleaned up everything as if they had never been there. Overall I couldn't be happier with how the project turned out, and I will definitely hire Bismarck and his crew again the next time I need to have any painting done.

Bismark was very prompt and friendly with each visit and email. The finished job looks perfect. We are very satisfied overall.

We were given an estimate and shortly after the work began. We were delayed a little due to rain but when the weather cleared there was a whole crew or 2 here to make up for lost time. The washed the whole house, caulked all windows, doors, sanded and treated areas that were heavy with mold. The also painted the whole house. We were very pleased with the work and the professionalism of the company. We had one minor issue with a bent gutter but the owner was very helpful in solving the issue which they did promptly. He was very responsive and wanted to do make sure everything was taken care of to fix the problem. We would definitely use this company again.

I recently purchased my first home and every wall either needed to be totally painted or touched up, including the ceiling. I received Lomar Painting and Bismarck's name from a friend and I will be forever grateful for that reference. Bismarck and his crew did a FANTASTIC job. The house is over 1400 sq ft, (vaulted ceilings, crown moldings, ceiling fans, several windows, nail pops and several little holes that needed Spackle) and I was amazed at how quickly the job got done from estimate to completion. Originally I was told the job might take about 4 days, which I was thrilled with--as I wanted to have the painting done prior to my move in date. I was elated when Bismarck and his crew completed the entire house in just ONE day--AMAZING. Bismarck and his team went above and beyond my expectations and were able to help me find other fantastic contractors to complete additional projects I wanted to do.Bismarck's attention to detail and experience is evident. His desire to not only get the job done, but get the job done well was something I greatly appreciated as a first time home buyer. I remember asking him if I should move out what little furniture I had or take down the hardware around the windows, his response was "Don't worry about it, we'll take care of everything" ---music to my ears. His crew was great, very polite and professional. I without hesitation would recommend Lomar Painting to everyone. Worth every penny!

I bought a new house and was trying to get all the painting done myself. After painting all the walls on the upper floor it became obvious the ceilings needed work. There were a substantial amount of nail pops and general wear. We had a very tight timeline with an anticipated carpet installation and move-in date. I contacted several painters through Angie's List and Bismarck was one of the more responsive and was price competitive. I received some quotes that were twice as much. I still think the cost was high as it only took two guys a day to do the work and I supplied the paint. That breaks down to ~$50/hr for painting labor. All the same, Bismarck was very responsive, got guys out to my house on short notice and they did a high quality job. I would contact him again.

Bismarck was prompt to respond to our request for estimate. We had two other compamies estimate the job but went with Lomar because he seemed very qualified and very knowledgeable. The crew showed up on time and were wonderful about making sure all of our furniture, carpets and faux finished walls were protected. The job was done beautifully. Crew was polite and very hardworking. We could not be more pleased. We have used other painters in the past, but Bismarck and his crew are the first that we would recommend to friends. I have already given the contact info to two neighbors who saw the work and requested Bismark's contact info. Exceptional job and I am extremely picky!

Bismark Lopez never came to my house to do an estimate. We arrange date and time by email and confirmed, but he never came or call to say he wasn't coming.

We got an estimate from Bismark Lopez who demonstrated a sense of professionalism that made us comfortable that their excellent ratings on Angie's list probably made sense. When they painted yesterday, it was clear they were very good:1. they went over what we needed done and our wishes.2.They were able to paint around a rats nest of computer wires w/o any issues3.They took care of moving the heavy TVs4.They did a super job of caulking and painting5. Their painting is superb6. They are willing to work with you on almost anything7. Their clean-up was very good8. There are a few minor issues that we will work with them on but no big deals9. We plan to use them again in a few months to do additional rooms in the house.

Bismarck visited the site and provided a comprehensive proposal. We agreed on a price and a starting date. The crew was punctual, they cheerfully accomodated each of our numerous requests, and the quality of the work was excellent. It is evident that Lomar takes pride in its responsiveness to, and in providing value for, its customers.

I liked Bismarck of Lomar Painting from the start - he was very responsive and was able to do an assessment the day after I called him. He communicated clearly and my husband and I knew we could trust him and his work. His team was very responsive to all of our requests and worked very hard. Just to be clear, I am a very very picky perfectionist and when it comes to painting, I pay attention to all of the details - I am hard to please in many ways, but was incredibly pleased with their work! I was very happy with the clean lines and smooth surfaces that resulted from this impeccable paint job. The Lomar painting team was very responsive to everything I asked and I would certainly hire them again!

A representative of Lomar responded to my call. He and I discussed what I needed done, and he was out within a few days to do an estimate. We agreed on a price and the work to be scheduled. The painting crew was there on the day he had originally scheduled and the work began. The team of three were very thorough, professional, and accomodating. They finised the job according to the schedule and on the few occassions that I made a special request in addition to the original estimate, they were happy to do th aadditional work and apply the extra charge to the bill. They wrapped up the job, no damage to the surrounding property (e.g. plants, bushes, other parts of the house), which is a first for us. The owner or supervisor of the service sent me a note after they were finished and said if there was any touch up that was required, please just call him and they would come out and touch it up. Another first for me with service providers. I certainly would recommend them highly, they did a great job!

This was a great experience. We called Bismarck and he offered to send a carpenter out the next day. The carpenter arrived on time and immediately went to work removing the old door. Hanging a door is challenging when working alone, but the carpenter made it look effortless. His work was precise and the door looks terrific. We have changed out many of our doors and know a quality job when we see one. This door fits in the old space perfectly . . . no gaps . . . closes tightly . . . couldn't ask for more! Do not hesitate to call them. You will not be disappointed.

Their bid was competitive; they were adaptable as we modified the scope of work before commencement; and their five-man crew arrived early and worked cheerfully and industriously for thirteen hours, finishing the job early. Their work was professional quality, done with great care for our furniture, cabinets, and carpets, and we found no errors to correct. We would hire Lomar Painting again, and we recommend them highly to others.

I received a reply from Bismarck within 24 hours of emailing him via Angie's List. He scheduled an estimate within 3 days. After deciding to go with his business, the work was scheduled for 2 weeks later. This gave me time to move breakables, and plan for basic redecorating after living here for 12 years. It was LONG overdue!! His crew arrived promptly everyday for 5 days, always professional, and worked hard, long hours. They are a very nice group of guys who clearly enjoyed each other's company and were pleasant to have around that week! Always responsive to any questions, the foreman, Marvin, speaks flawless English and so do many of the crew. I will most definitely have this company back to paint the remaining rooms in the house in the future. Bismarck is a former Marine who has high expectations of his employees, and it is clear they respect him and work hard in return. I can highly recommend Lomar Painting for all your painting needs. You cannot go wrong with this company!
