We used Lomar Painting when we were getting our townhouse ready to sell. We had exterior wood trim replaced and painted. The carpenters that were sent out to perform the work couldn't have been better. Their workmanship was superior and they were prompt and courteous. Then we had a different crew for the interior work. We had a couple of rooms painted as well as some drywall work and general sprucing up. Bismarck sent a large crew and they worked all day and evening to get the work completed so we could move on to the other items we needed to get done. Overall, Bismarck provided great, quality service to us. The price was good, the crew was very thorough and professional. We liked their work so much, we are currently using them to paint the interior of our new house! If you are looking for painting/carpentry work, you will not go wrong with Bismarck and his crew. They will work very hard to get you the results you are looking for. It doesn't get any better then Lomar Painting, they are top notch!

I had a great experience with Lomar Painting and have already recommended them to a friend. A couple of the highlights: 1. Timely scheduling: I was hoping to be able to schedule painters while my condo was still empty, before my household goods were delivered. Bismarck was able to give me a date 5 days after my call (and could've done earlier). 2. Reasonable prices: I will admit that I didn't do very much price comparing, but when I explained how many rooms I wanted painted in one day, Bismarck adapted the Angie's List deal to my requirements while recognizing the same rates. 3. Good quality: There were a few drips on floors, baseboards, and outlet covers, but the crew did a good job of cleaning them up. I was left with just a couple streaks on outlet covers which they probably should've cleaned off, but all but one were easy enough for me to scrape off or in places that will be hidden by furniture. 4. Great communication. Bismarck was responsive to both phone and email, and within an hour of the crew finishing up and leaving, had emailed me both the final invoice as well as an email making sure everything was completed to my satisfaction. I will admit I was skeptical at all the "A" reviews, having had a poor experience with a cleaning company that was highly-recommended on Angie's List. But Lomar Painting deserves them.

I needed a bedroom and a kitchen painted. After getting quotes that ran approximately $750, I decided to wait and bought a coupon for two painters for eight hours for $500 from Lomar Painting. Bismarck was responsive and quick to arrange the date of service. The two men he sent over to do the work, Roger and Abel, were friendly, professional, and patient. After deciding that I didn't like the color I selected for the bedroom after all, they were patient while I ran to Home Depot to get new paint and they redid it. They were efficient and incredibly neat and clean - not a drop spilled anywhere. In fact, they left the place cleaner than they found it! Even the repainting, it only took them about five hours, giving me an idea of how many rooms might be possible in eight hours if I need that in the future. When I think about the hassle of taping, drop cloths, etc....I will never paint a room again in my life if I can help it. And I will definitely use Lomar Painting again.

Excellent communication from Bismarck throughout the process. His team showed up on a time; they were polite and professional; did a nice job with the patching holes and painting. When I have painting needs in the future, I will definitely call on Lomar Painting again and recommend to others.

Great communication from Bismarck got us off to a sound start. He was able to work with my schedule, and get the big job done in a day by sending four guys. The four guys that came did a great job of cleaning/repairing some minor things that needed work; they were polite and professional, and they asked questions when they needed clarification; most of all, they did a great job with the painting. I will certainly be calling Lomar Painting for any future painting needs that I have. Good price, great work!

Six people came on December 27 for four days, including a Sunday, to make sure we could get out of the house and back to Florida. Their work was fantastic.

I made a 911 call to Bismarck at noon yesterday. We are moving and once the pictures were removed from the walls, we realized that there were some holes that needed to be patched & touched up. Bismarck had a crew at our home at 8 a.m. this morning. They did a terrific job of patching and touching up throughout the entire home -- in and out in 90 minutes with outstanding quality. We've used Lomar painting on 3 previous occasions and have been given excellent service and workmanship each time. Highly recommend this company!

The job went well. Lomar showed up on schedule for both the estimate and the job, did the work as agreed, and cleaned up appropriately afterwards. We had asked that some outside items also be tarped to protect edible plants, and that was done as requested. We also used this company last year (2011) for painting the entire interior of our house - walls, trim, and ceilings. This work included removal of wallpaper and wallpaper borders in some rooms, as well as some carpentry work to install new ceiling molding. We were pleased with the work. There were a couple of items that required touching up, and that was done promptly. We were very happy with the services provided by this company. We would definitely use them again.

Overall, an excellent job., They arrived on time. When the work was done that day, I was not initially happy with the quality of the painting. I called them and they sent the man back THE SAME DAY to redo the painting. I was happy with the end result and especially happy with their responsiveness.

Bismarck responded right away to my inquiry and came out when it was convenient for us to give us a quote. He then scheduled for the work to start the following Sunday. His employees were prompt and polite. It was great that we could trust the employees in our home while were at work and there were no problems in doing so! really convenient for us! They started on constructing the wall the first day, finishing the wall and painting the upstairs hall the second day, and the third day they painted the family room and the downstairs hall. The project was completed in 3 days one day less than quoted. The service, quality and price was phenomenal!! We are very pleased and will be using them in the future!

Bismarck has great customer service. The job was done on time as scheduled and touch-ups were done the next day after I called. Overall a good experience.

I contacted Lomar Painting thru the Angie's List website and provided a description of the services I was requesting. 3 days later, I received a brief, 1-sentence email from Bismarck requesting my address. I responded to Bismarck's email and asked a few questions regarding some of the services I was interested in (i.e. wall/ceiling/trim painting and crown molding). Rather than answering any of my questions, he responded with another 1-sentence email requesting my address. I provided him with the city & state I was located in and told him I'd provide the exact address once we identified a convenient date/time to meet. I also requested that he provide answers to my questions before setting up a consultation appointment... apparently, he felt that it was a waste of his time to address my questions and decided that my "job wasn't worth it." I was shocked by his lack of professionalism, especially after reading the positive reviews on Angie's List. The fact that he would not answer the two basic questions I posed concerned me, as did his unwillingness to engage in any type of communication prior to showing up at my residence. What a disappointment.

Lomar came to my home to give me an estimate for painting and tile work,it has been two weeks and no estimate has been received for the work requested.

We've used Bismarck and his team on several rooms in our home. As usual, his estimate was fair. His guys were on site as scheduled and got started right away. They finished the bulk of the job on the first day and needed to work about three hours the next day. Quality was great (I'm still amazed these professionals don't use tape around the trim) and the stripes turned out better than we anticipated. We had several holes to patch - some requiring a bit of work - and you simply cannot tell where they were originally. We will continue to use Lomar for all our painting needs. Thanks Bismarck!!

I got 3 estimates from painting contractors and Lomar was, by far, the best price. The crew arrived on the date I scheduled, on time, and immediately went to work as a superb team. They moved my furniture to the middle of the room, covered it with plastic, put down drop cloths, and went to work removing wallpaper, and painting 4 rooms and the hallway. They paid great attention to the job and finished when they said they would. I was particularly impressed when, at the end of the first day, the foreman handed me a roll of painters tape and told me to go through each room and mark any imperfections (e.g., paint drips, etc.). I did (there were very few spots) and they were immediately corrected the next day. The crew finished the job on the second day and it truly is beautiful. I am so pleased that not only will I hire them for my future painting needs, but I will also recommend them to others. Thanks so much to Bismark and his fabulous team. Your professionalism, timeliness, and attention to detail are very much appreciated.

The crew arrived on time. The crew manager introduced himself and explain how the project would proceed. They finished the painting in 6 hours and left the basement area clean with all the furniture put back correctly!

I was very pleased with Lomar Painting. Bismarck is very personable and came out to quote the scope of work and provided several suggestions. The men were on time when promised and everyone was very courteous to both me, my dog and treated our home with respect. They did a great job moving the furniture, covering the items, and moving stuff back when they were done. When there were questions, they asked and matters were resolved. Tim and Roger did a good job running the project on a day to day basis. I'm very pleased with the results and have no hesitation about calling Bismarck at Lomar Painting for any additional work I would need. I highly recommend this company.

I'd like to say that I was impressed, but that is an understatement. The guys showed up five minutes before 10am when they were due to start. They quickly assessed the area with me and got to work laying out their drop cloths and moving furniture with care. Each guy had a different job while they started painted and patching. I went up to my room to do some work. I went back downstairs at 1pm and they were finished with everything. I inspected the work, which was flawless, and the guys left. I was blown away that such amazing work on such a large project could be done in only three hours. I was so shocked that I had to call Bismarck immediately to tell him how happy I was with the team's punctuality, speed, and attention to detail. I will never call another team to do this kind of work!

I contacted Bismark on AL and he came out the following week in order to provide an estimate. Once I had the estimate, we set up the work to be done at the end of the week. Lomar's three painters showed up at the expected date/time. They moved the furniture and covered the floors/counters before painting and then spent about 7 hours total. They did a good job painting and I felt they were very conscientious about their work. I would use them again.

Owner/Operator Bismarck is the model of professionalism and customer service. From his punctuality to the quality of work he demands from his painters, he made the whole experience easy for me and my family. Thank you, Bismarck -- you and yourcrew do excellent work!

Contacted Lomar after researching them on Angie's List. The owner responded to my email inquiry promptly and was always quick to respond to follow up emails. His crew showed up right when they said they would, were very courteous and professional to my family who were at home at the time while the work was being performed. The crew got right to work and really did a great job painting the shutters and front door, as well as cleaning up and re-painting the trim around the door. They did a high-quality job in a short period of time and left no traces of their work behind. The paint job looks great and gave a nice refresh to the front of our home! Thanks to Lomar for a job well done. We would definitely consider using them again.

I set up an appointment for a quote with Bismark for a Thursday from 2pm-4pm. At 1:03pm, I called Bismark and left a message requesting that he let me know when he is on his way so I can go meet him at the property. I received no response until 3:12 pm, when Bismark arrived at the property. I was still at the office, and explained that I called him earlier to state that I would leave the office when he called me. This was just an unfortunate misunderstanding, right? WRONG! Bismark says that he has no missed calls or voicemails. He also states that there is a $24 no-show fee (not mentioned during the first call) and that he would be sending me a bill. I reply that I was never informed of a no-show fee and will not be paying. He then becomes belligerent and asks "Do you think this is a game?" At this point I hung up because of his tone. I just wanted a quote for painting, not to be harassed by a contractor. I then texted him a picture of my call log to show the time I called. I've never experienced anything like this with any contractor I've worked with. I will not give business to or recommend Lomar Painging as a result of this situation.

I found Bismarck and Lomar on Angie's List after having a terrible experience with a contractor hired by my condo board, who sent over inept unskilled workers, who left a big gapping hole in my ceiling, open to the elements from outside, including rain and hornets. Bismarck worked with me to quickly get his crew out to fix the situation. Bismarck was great to work with, met my schedule and ensured I was happy with the work, even giving me a discount.
