I contacted them on a Monday, and by Wednesday the work was complete. I had some drywall/paint in a bedroom ceiling that had been damaged by water that leaked from the A/C circulator in the attic. They repaired it and painted over it in a few hours. It looks good as new and I can't even tell there was ever damage. Very easy to work with and schedule, I'd definitely use them again and recommend them.

All work performed was excellent. The 3-man crew led by Orlando were very professional, neat and courteous and cooperative.

Lomar Painting responded to my inquiry promptly and was able to fit me into their schedule very quickly. Bismarck's crew came first thing, and they were very courteous and pleasant. They did an excellent job, were very respectful of my home, and they left the space very clean. I would not hesitate to use them again in my home, and I will continue to recommend them to my design clients.

Bismarck and his team are the best. Communication was easy and direct and the team showed up exactly at the appointed time. Went straight to work, priming the room (living room - 16 x 20 x 8). Filled and sanded all the walls, then primed and painted the final coat. Crew was courteous, kind and clean and communicated throughout the process. This is the second time (first was a ceiling repair on a rental unit) we have used Bismarck and we cannot be more impressed with the level of work he and his team do.

Bismarck came out and estimated the job first-hand but then everything was done via e-mail (this may be a problem for some folks - but not us, we found it very convenient). We weren't able to be there during the painting due to a previously planned vacation so we were a bit nervous about using someone new for the first time. But the proper paint was purchased and used, and the work was performed with as much care as if we would have been supervising. Bismarck reached out when the work was finished and to have them back if there was anything not done correctly. The work was done so well we're already having Bismarck back to do another area of the house (whether we're here or not).

Bismarck was always responsive. All work was started and completed within a day or two of notice to proceed. Quality was good. Proposals were thorough. On last phase, the painter got carried away and painted entire banister instead of just touching up post where baby gate was removed. Bismarck recognized the mistake and honored his original estimate.

A crew of three arrived at my 2-bedroom condo as planned on July 21. They definitely knew what they were doing. They patched up a lot of cracks in the ceiling and walls. They were meticulous with their work. They finished on July 22. They did a very professional job, and I am very pleased. They deserve their A rating.

I contacted Angie's List via Snap Fix. We had a short window between the date we took possession of our house and when our movers arrived. I was put in contact with Lomar Painting and couldn't be happier with the results. They were punctual, hard-working and paid attention to detail. We have several projects in the future and I will use them again without a doubt!

FABULOUS!!! Bismarck and his crew are nothing short of professional. The first project was exterior painting and pressure washing. The second project was interior painting; two story foyer, study, living room, dining room, kitchen/family room, garage. Both projects started on the exact day and finished on time. The teams were dedicated to my project. They did not leave to go finish a previous project or start a future project, which I've had happen with other contractors. We are thrilled with the results and plan on having the second floor of our house painted next year. We will definitely be working with Lomar Painting on that project.

The end result was excellent! There was a little miscommunication early on about the appointment date, so I would recommend calling the day or a few days before the appointment date to make sure they have it on their calendar. But he was very prompt and had a professional come to do the work that next day, as we had communicated about over email. The worker was prompt, did an excellent job in preparing the area, made sure to get the right paint and cleaned up the area. I am very happy overall!

It went very well. Bismarck Lopez was responsive and helpful with the estimate and scheduling the work. The work was done on time at a reasonable price. Work was exactly what was promised and what I was hoping for. Cleanup after the job was thorough.

I contacted Lomar Painting for the interior of my condo ~1200 sq ft. They came out and gave me a fair estimate and we scheduled the work for a couple weeks later. The crew were right on time, working until 7. Although they didn't get done, one painter came the next day to knock out the last coat. They were extremely professional and remarkably clean for a painting crew. They went into great detail to clean up after themselves and offered to help me move the furniture back. If you want a competitive price, a thorough and complete job, and a company that will do it right the first time, they're definitely the ones to call.

The porch's appearance has improved so much since the Lomar Painting crew painted and repaired our porch that was built over 50 years ago. We needed it to be completed quickly, and Bismarck was able to provide an estimate within a few days of calling, and his crew arrived about a week later. He didn't try to get us to replace our existing screens which were still in good shape, unlike another company. His crew had to replace additional wood trim that they didn't expect, but we weren't charged extra for it. We needed the carpenter to return to adjust our new screen door, but Bismarck arranged for that quickly. Overall, Bismarck seems trustworthy, has fair prices and his staff are good, hard-working guys.

Lomar did a great job at a fair price. The quality of the work was excellent. We had a few more areas that needed to be touched up and his workers came out promptly to finish the job in both cases. I highly recommend them.

Lomar Painting was extremely efficient in returning calls, estimate, and start date. They arrived on time, answered all my questions, completed the job with efficiency and professionalism all in ONE day! They protected my rugs and even vacuumed after their clean-up. I was asked to come look at the work PRIOR to their leaving to ensure the work was to my satisfaction. I am completely satisfied and will definitely use Lomar Painting for my next project! From my initial contact with Bismarck, I was pleased with his efficient and effective attitude. His communication was prompt, pleasant, and helpful. Once we committed to his bid, the work was quickly scheduled. A team of 3 workmen came to complete the work in one day. It was obvious that they were comfortable working together.They covered the floors with drop cloths and furniture / walls with new plastic to control dust and paint splatter and quickly went to work repairing all drywall, taping, and nail pops. Additionally, they caulked a section of molding in the family room. Painting was done, the team cleaned up after themselves and returned the furniture to it's original location.. There was an area that needed additional attention and the next morning I contacted Bismarck. He sent a workman over to address it that afternoon. I will confidently refer Lomar Painting to friends and family and hope to have them back soon for other jobs at my house.

We purchased this home, which had great detail - crown mouldings, chair rails, etc - but had been neglected in terms of paint (and care) for the past 30 years. Bismarck (the owner) came out to do the estimate himself, and gave us a room-by-room breakdown so we could understand the costs and pick a-la-carte if we decided not to have everything done. We also were looking to do two-tone paint schemes in several of the first floor rooms and he said his guys would help us put up paint swatches on the walls to make our final selections while they got started on ceilings and trim. Attention to detail as one of the things that jumped out about the work that was being done. On day one, they did quite a bit of mudding of drywall and re-caulking of trim to make sure the paint would be going down on perfect surfaces. The foreman was also quite helpful with application of our paint swatches. For many of the rooms, the colors looked good as planned, but for our three two-tone rooms, the initial color combinations we selected just weren't working. As we tried different combinations of samples we already had, and made a run or two to the paint store to get a few more samples, he continued to help us with more swatches and other suggestions. By the end of day one, we finalized the palatte and they were off and running. The transformation of the house was quite dramatic, even for me when I was checking on progress every day. And for my fiancee, it as even more dramatic since she only saw day one and then the final product. They originally suggested that I plan for more than a week of work due to the size of the house and level of detail, but they started on a Saturday and were done by the next Saturday. They even did a bit of free woodwork to fix one of my doors which was sticking, so that opening and closing the door wouldn't damage the new paint on the doorframe. When I walked through the house to inspect, I only found two small details that I wanted touched up, and a guy was there the next afternoon to take care of it. Overall, I can't say enough good things about the quality of the work and the customer service. While the price may be higher than some other quotes, I think we definitely got our money's worth and benefitted from a military discount he offers. I would recommend this company to anyone, and will very likely be chatting with them again when we're ready to do some exterior painting and/or work on the basement. Scott and Erika

This company is the best! They just painted about three-quarters of the interior of our home, plus painted a cabinet and stained a stair railing. I can't say enough good things about them. Absolutely top quality painting work. When they were finished, the walls in our 40 year old home never looked this smooth from all the detailed wall prep work they took the time to do. I've hired lots of painters and subcontractors, from doing a lot of renovation work on my house and rental properties. So I'm confident in highly recommending them to anyone else for their property. Bismarck and his team are first rate.

If you are simply looking for someone who will roll paint on a wall, any of these companies will work. But if you are looking for a painter whose goal is your complete satisfaction, who can artistically even out nicks and who will focus on the smallest details, then you are looking for Bismarck Lopez, the owner of Lomar Painting. Bismarck will give you blue painter's tape and ask you to mark any areas that you are not completely satisfied with. When Bismarck and his men see the tape, that area will be redone -- no problems, no arguments. They genuinely want all customers to be happy. What painter does that? In fact, what contractor does that? Bismarck and his men showed up every morning between 7 a.m. and 8 am, stayed until 7 p.m. and worked weekends if necessary. They never showed up late, nor did they ever not show up, as many painters are notorious for doing. The workers stuck to their word and focused solely on my job. More importantly, Bismarck frequently stopped by to make sure that I was completely happy with how the project was going. He helped me pick out colors, discussed decorating ideas and even asked about any other work I needed around the house. He was always available by phone 24/7 and he would arrive immediately if I had any questions. What owner of a painting company is so accessible and cares so much about each and every job?My experience is consistent with what other customers have said about Lomar Painting. The company has won the Angie's Super Service Award six years in a row, a feat that very few of the hundreds of local painting companies have achieved. Bismarck and his men are also extremely versatile: They scored an A in carpentry in Angie's out of 223 ratings, an A in handyman services, an A in power/pressure washing and an A in drywall. They have also won Angie's Super Service Award for drywall work two years in a row, and Angie's Super Service award for power/pressure washing. Finally, Bismarck and his men were always courteous, polite, respectful and they always left my house clean. I have searched for a good painter for decades. If there is a small drawback, it is that there may be a short wait to get your house painted. In this area, there are those who search hard for the very best painter and who have already discovered Bismarck. Like anything impressive in D.C. that has already been discovered, there may inevitably be a wait. Frankly, painters who are easily available within a week or less have always made me a bit nervous.Did I mention that Bismarck's prices are extremely reasonable? They come close to matching or beating most of his competitors. I do plan on calling Bismarck within the next few weeks and I look forward to working again with such a stellar company.

The painting took three days to complete. Bismarck had predicted 3-5 days. The colors and brand of paint I chose were supplied with no problems. The painters showed up on time each day and were professional. All work was completed on time and the area was cleaned up each evening. Trouble spots were updated after I had time to go over the house. The kitchen ceiling had one trouble spot and they repainted the entire ceiling to avoid any streaks. I was happy with the work, their punctuality, the touch ups, and the price. I would use them again and recommend them.

Bismark is a former marine and runs a tight ship. He communicated the job well to us, gave a well written quote with description of the work,and without demanding a large deposit. He had a great steady crew working for him. They showed up with 7 guys at the time we specified, did a 3 day job in 1 days time. Very professional, quality work. Covered everything with tarps, cleaned up everything and were very efficient. He then called to see if we were satisfied and to ask if we needed any touch up done. Turns out there was a couple small spots that when dried we noticed needed a bit more, so he sent a guy over next day and fixed it. No problem and nice of him to ask verses us asking. We have hired several painting companies over the years, but his is the best we've worked with. His price is fair and the work start date was only a couple weeks from the time we called. We hope to use him for our exterior in the summer.
