We had an initial call with Brian. He was on board with the questions and concerns we had as first time home buyers. Everything was going great until we started to asking questions to be informed of the process in buying a home and how negotiations work. Brian started to talk over me and my wife and get defensive over the questions we asked about the process. Brian asked questions about what we wanted in a home, so he could filter out the results. Brian just sent us homes that were not up to par, nor move in ready. We had to do the research on our own to find the homes that we suggested from the initial conversation. Brian didn’t want to do the work, so he wanted to part ways to eliminate him from doing what he promised in the beginning. This was a bad experience and suggest going else where, if you are wanting loyalty and honesty as a realtor in a market that someone could easily be manipulated and take your money. Not sure if any of the people he worked with were of our persuasion, but he definitely was not informative and sent us anything, thinking we couldn’t afford it!!!

My wife and I cannot recommend Brian Whritenour and his team at Living Realty more highly. Throughout the process of selling our home, it was a pleasure to work with Brian and the Living Realty team. While we have bought and sold a number of houses, Brian's level of professionalism and excellence is beyond comparison. While he has many great qualities such as being analytical, trustworthy, hard-working and responsive, he is above all patient with his clients. His patience shows through early in the process when comparing properties to determine a price; when determining what elements of the home to repair or improve or accept as is; when running open house(s); and finally in the offer acceptance and closing phases of the process. To start, we interviewed a number of agents to find one that we felt could really sell our house while still maintaining a relationship of trust and confidence with us as sellers. Although a few agents seemed a possible fit, and one in particular interviewed well and came highly recommended, Brian won out because of his level of preparation (he came with an extensive book of research on the property) and a style that meshed well with our own. Being set back in the woods off a long sloped driveway, we knew our property might take a bit longer to sell because it would not appeal to everyone -- but we knew it would strongly appeal to the right buyer. Brian worked with us driving showings until the right buyer saw the home. During this process Brian not only held the necessary number of open houses, but he interviewed and provided feedback from each and every party that viewed our home. It was this feedback coupled with his analytical approach that made us comfortable in our decision right up to and through closing. And it was at closing that we also realized that this patient person could also be a dogged negotiator, a wealth of needed information, and strong advocate for us as sellers. Although he was only our listing agent as we were building a new home, we feel confident his strengths as a buyer?s agent would be equally superior. We have never felt strongly enough to write a review on Angie?s List before, but our experience was so positive that we unequivocally recommend Brian and Living Realty if you?re thinking about listing your home.

My wife and I were looking to buy our first home together in the Vienna. We found Brian through a friend's recommendation and we couldn't have been happier. Home buying can be a stressful process. I have used real estate agents in the past and Brian is by far the best agent I have ever used. His professionalism, attention to detail, and honesty, is what sets him apart. Brian sat down with us during the initial meeting for about an hour and got to know what we were looking for in a home. In addition to his own searches, he provided us access to software for us to do our own searches (which allows you to alter parameters). We looked at 10-15 homes with Brian over a few weekends before deciding to put in an offer. Brian always puts his client's interests first. At each property, we had as much time as we needed to look around. Each time, he gave us an honest and objective assessment of the price, quality of the home, etc. Brian will not send you down the wrong path. In the end, all real estate agents will do what their clients ask, but Brian makes sure that you are well informed and comfortable with your decision. We were in regular contact with him up until the closing date and there were no surprises. I highly recommend him.
