Two torn/cracked shingles were installed. Upon selling the house, the shingles were detected at home inspection. John Darvish company would not consider that the shingles were installed damaged, claiming they have pictures of the new roof. Would not supply the pictures and would not come out to inspect without a $275 charge.

Called this company regarding shingles falling off of a fairly new roof as I was told by the builder they were the ones who actually did the shingles installation. Model Home built in 2009, and shingles keep falling off because of wind in the area. Roof is only 4 years old. Asked if they would still be under warranty, and got the run-around that their warranty is only for labor with the builder and not the homeowner. Took 15 minutes of conversation for the person to even say that the labor warranty is only for one year, and would not be applicable anyways. Asked them to come out for an estimate to determine how many shingles would need replacement. Was told it would be a minimum cost of $225 for them to just come out and they would have to replace 10 shingles. They do not do free estimates. Since the shingles are already flying off on a 4 year old roof, I am not sure if their overally quality is good.
Description of Work: Asked them if roof would still be under warranty and got a run-around conversation before they finally indicated that it would not be. Asked them to come out to do a free estimate and was told they only come out to replace shingles, and would charge $225 for 10 shingles.

I called to get an estimate, and then followed by a repair, which went very well for both items.
Description of Work: I needed a repair for two holes on the side of my roof, created by a squirrel. I also needed a shutter reattached to the house.

On 6 June I requested this company, by email, if they would be interested in repairing a portion of my roof gable soffit. The compnay didn't respond, so I'm looking for another company to do the work.

At the beginning, the job was fine. They seemed very eager. They told me they would do the job on one day, and they were a couple days late. Other than that, they were fine.
Description of Work: They replaced some tiles on the roof and did some maintenance.

After the freak snowstorm in late December, ice dams had caused a temporary problem which routed subsequent rainfall (and melting snow) into my garage attic space. Darvish roofing returned my calls promptly and were very nice to deal with. I got a service call scheduled quickly and we were able to assess that the problem was not a major issue. Both people I spoke with at Darvish were knowledgeable, professional, and knew alot about local construction characteristics, which helped in evaluating options in my case. Although I did not need major repairs this time, I will definitely make this company my first call if needed in the future.

Quick, quality service. I had a down spout/gutter that was clearly blocked as water was pouring over the gutter edge onto my deck. I called John Darvish Roofing and was able to schedule a gutter cleaning same day! It was just luck they told me but I was happy to have the work done quickly. Later that afternoon, a technician with a truck and a ladder arrived and the blockage was cleared and other gutters cleaned out too! After he had removed all of the debris, he picked it up in a trashbag and took it with him. I have since cut down some of the trees that were so close to the house and creating the problems.
Description of Work: Gutters cleaned from fall leaves.

I was so VERY happy with this roofing experience. I did not have to worry about a thing! John Darvish Roofing was recommended by two contractor friends so I gave them a call. I received a free estimate and after comparing the price and company reputation with two other contractors, also recommended. I chose them for reputation and best price. I spoke with Melissa in the office about flashing and the installation of ice and water guard to prevent ice damming. I learned a lot! The roofing supplier showed up the afternoon before the scheduled work and delivered the materials to the rooftop. They were professional and considerate of my yard and driveway. Early the next morning the roofing crew arrived smiles and good mornings with them. The first thing they did was cover my bushes and shrubs with light tarps to protect them. They had tall ladders and seemed to be following safe procedures as they worked. The old roof was removed and disposed of by the contractor. A few pieces of plywood needed replacing as they were soft from a previous leak. The crew chief showed me the area that needed repair. The office called to get my authorization for replacement and gave me a reasonable price per sheet of plywood. I knew ahead of time that I might need some plywood replaced so this was not a surprise. Honestly, I could not see much from the ground but once the plywood was replaced and the old plywood brought down from the roof, I could see the damage and need for replacement. The new roof was installed and before it got dark, the roof crew was busy cleaning up and getting ready to end the day. They used large magnets to pick up nails in the grass. The next day a metal installer arrived as scheduled to put a metal roof on a bay window and also a small area of the roof that showed mold damage as it stayed damp and shady at all times. With the new metal roof in that area we have had no molding problems. Several neighbors admired the new roof as well as the clean up job and ended up using the same contractor for their new roofs.
Description of Work: Old roof removed, rotted plywood replaced, new roof and attic ventilation installed. Metal roof installed on a bay window and small area of roof that gets no sunlight. Old materials and ALL trash removed by the contractor.
