The did a good job. They worked well with my Realtor because we were selling our home. I did think the price was high but I was happy to get the work done.

They painted the window trim on the exterior of the townhouse. The work was done at my rental home. When he came he asked for a $100 more for good materials.

The workmanship was excellent, fast and professional. My only complaint is the coupon/deal offered on Angie's list was misleading. The coupon was for 200 sqft installed for $600.00. When I spoke to Ivan he stated that the coupon assumes that the install would be done on concrete and did not include other types on installations, such as tub enclosures. The coupon did not reflect that at all. Rather than argue with him, we completed the install at @7.00 per sqft since the prep work was completed.

I bought the big deal through Angie's List and couldn't be happier with the results. I called Ivan prior to purchasing and agreed to what would be completed (100sqft of demo and 100sqft of tiling) and had set expectations between us prior to his guys showing up. Alex showed up on Friday morning (after a snow storm), demo'd the tile, put it in bags for me and started tiling that afternoon. I supplied the tile and materials myself, prepped the area (removed the trim and most of the appliances). Alex helped me wrap things up and really did a good job. The tile looks great and I couldn't be happier. There was some residual dust that I had to clean up (even though they did seal up the room), but it was a major demo job. Very pleased with the service and the deal! Thanks guys!

He was great to work with. Scheduling went very well. The owner came out to do the work and it took most of the day to complete. He was extremely considerate and did not make a mess as well as polite. The results were great of the paint job.

They did a great job and finished ahead of schedule. Owner stopped in and checked up on the job towards the end. I am very satisfied and will use them again next time I need painting.

If there was a 4 STAR rating, I would give it to Herndon Services. We bought a new CONDO and wanted it painted starting the day after closing which was just before Christmas. Ivan's crew was Outstanding. They used the paint that I requested, ordered it and picked it up. The started the job on time and finished on time. The work involved putting two coats of paint on the walls. They did an Excellent job, I highly recommend them. I have scheduled them to install 7 new cabinets in my laundry room and garage as well as screening in our porch.

They honored all of the allowances that were mentioned in the Big Deal. My wife and I could not be more happy with the results of the bathroom renovation. The work was executed meticulously and Ivan Torres was here and checking everything out a couple of times a day. I have hardwood floors throughout my home and he made sure that they had taped down plastic on all of the floors to make sure that nothing was tearing up from the outside in. He came out and looked at our bathroom before we contracted him. There were no hidden charges. He did his work and stood behind his word. There was another contractor that we had called, that had hidden charges, but these workmen were courteous, professional, on time and clean. We were able to ask his advice, and get excellent advice on how to proceed with different issues. In fact, we had a minor plumbing issue and he corrected that issue without charging anything additional. This is what I mean by standing behind his work. We would highly recommend him. We'd show the work to anyone, we are that happy with it. He spoke highly of Angie's List. They ripped out the tub, tiles, flooring, and everything worked out perfectly, and is beautiful. Thank you Angie's List for the recommendation, that we could contract with perfect confidence, and a big Thank You to Ivan Torres for delivering quality work. The last day he was here was after the work was finished to take pictures and was looking and saw a very small opening in part of the grout and got on his phone straight away and told the young man that handled the grout and told him to come out the next morning to fix it. I will use him again. Ivan Torres takes immense pride in his work, which is very refreshing.

Excellent service! Two painters for an entire day completely painted the condo - walls, baseboards, crown molding and doors! Condo looks brand new! Painters were on time, professional, and left the condo immaculate. I would definitely use this service again and highly recommend to family, friends, and everyone!

They painted the ceilings and walls in several rooms. I was shocked (and very pleased!) At how much they got done. I don't think they even took a full 30 minutes for lunch. They worked hard all day and did an excellent job.

like Herndon Service very much. Not a luxury remodeller, but solid work for middle class homes. The slight language barrier is easily overcome; he likes to stand next to you and have you show him what you want and mistakes are corrected. Good guys, good job

The provider was prompt in communicating what time frame the truck would be coming. They gave me a window from 10am to 2pm. No communication during this period, but at 2pm the two men in the truck called to say they would be coming in 15 minutes. They did come in 15 minutes. One of the men inspected the unit on the roof, while the other was doing the chimney cleaning and vacuuming. The vacuum was not connected properly, and the ashes got spread in the house. The man called the owner and told him of the incident, and the owner promptly called, apologized, and sent a cleaning service to clean up the ash on the furniture, carpet and other things. I appreciated the acceptance of accountability. The owner later called to find out if all is ok and again apologized for the mishap, which had never happened to them before. All in all, they are a decent company, but can avoid mishaps by checking their appliances/tools before they start work. They took pictures of the unit on the roof and there was a crack in the chimney cover, which they replaced for a price. All the work was performed satisfactorily, except for the mishap, for which I had to take time off as the cleaning service could only come on a Monday (chimney cleaning was performed on Saturday), and the unnecessary inconvenience.

I asked the provider to give me an estimate of what I would have to buy & how much, etc., and he said he would stop by on 11/18. I rushed home from work, he didn't show, didn't call, then came by on 11/13 (the day before work was to begin). I realized I would buy tile, grout and other supplies and he would provide labor. He said he would have to charge me extra for additional "labor" like moving the oven, carrying out trash, etc. I kept asking him exactly how much extra (at least 3 times) until he finally said $800 additional. What a joke. Would never use this provider.

The owner and the painters were punctual, courteous and professional. They knew their job well and paid close attention to detail. I provided the paint and they brought all the necessary tools with them. They were very careful not to leave a mess and obviously took pride in their work and workmanship. They offered me the Angie's list special for the first day, charging 650 USD. The owner was straightforward and told me in advance that any additional day would cost 800 USD. I used them for two days. The one criticism that I have is that one of the two painters was not as responsive. I asked him to put priority over certain areas and he wouldn't, despite my repeated requests. Still, both painters worked really hard, paying very close attention to even the smallest detail.

When I called him he was confused and did not make a good case. He said he would come on Saturday and then he said he would have to charge me extra because he would have to do more than one day worth of work. At that point, I decided that they weren't trustworthy and I cancelled the Big Deal. He told me earlier that he could put two people on the job and it would easily take one day, then later he told me that it would take more than one day. It seems that he is not conforming to the agreement. He also said he would only need one coat of paint. I have gotten estimates from other painters and they all said I needed two coats of paint. I felt like this also let me know he was not planning to do a good job. I felt that I couldn't trust him because he didn't even give a good excuse as to why he didn't show up on Friday.

Ivan came to give job quote and was very quick to identify a few more areas of repair I had not seen before but needed to be done. He could get painters out next morning and he said 5 hrs for the 2 workers to complete everything, even taking paint chip to match color at local store. I thought that was a bit optimistic, but everything was completed and clean-up done in 4.5hrs!! I was very impressed at the care they took from the moment they entered our home to protect the floors, kitchen counters and cabinets as well as the carpeted area in the second room were sanding and plaster repair work was more significant. When the jobs were finished, they cleaned up everything and proceeded to sweep my kitchen floor too! In addition to the professional workmanship, the pricing was almost 1/2 of the other quotes I had received. We couldn't be more pleased and will definitely be using them in the future.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. They did a superb job. It was advertised as exterior and interior and I had wanted exterior work. He claimed there was no way he would have ever done exterior work so I didn't get the exterior work but I managed to find some interior work for them to do. I was disconcerted by the way the ad read exterior and interior so I felt I was mislead a little bit.

Ivan provided an excellent subcontractor and he had lots of helpers. They painted several areas of my home. They were not always on time...there was some confusion But Ivan had great customer service skills and worked fairly with me.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it worked out okay. They painted one room the wrong color, which I did not discover until they finished. They went ahead and re-did the paint job, which I was impressed with.

Very responsive, timely, and high quality painting. They also purchased the paint that we selected and brought it with them, which was very helpful. I would suggest discussing the exact scope of what work can be completed in the 8-hour time period, this should be clear to both the painters and the home owner. We would use them again!
