Herndon Service

Got a "deal" for 200 SF of hardwood installed (needed a total of 260). Herndon service then contacted me and said it would be $150 to deliver the hardwood. Apparently the deal including installing the hardwood, but not bringing it. He then said additional hardwood would be $7.5/SF when deal clearly states $7 is cost. He asked me if I wanted molding and I said no but they installed it and charged me extra for it anyway. In the end, the work was really quick and high quality but I would use them again due to all of the problems with pricing.

Ivan was great to work with and very accommodating. His crew was efficient and addressed any concerns we had with the painting or installation. In fact, we had an issue with the screening coming loose just a few weeks ago, and Ivan came out to fix it right away, despite the fact that it had been a year since the work was done. Great customer service!

The team was ready to go on day one and despite the mix up on the paint type - they went and exchanged for the right paint while the one guy prepped the house. Nelson the main painter was excellent - we could tell he was very professional and he and his helper did a great job painting our walls. It took the team of two a total of three days to paint the walls and trim and one part of the ceiling on the main floor plus the bedroom upstairs. Afterwards they helped put the heavier furniture back in place. We love the way our house looks, you can definitely tell the paint job was done professionally. We are definitely thinking of having some additional work done by them.

I cancelled. Under a subcontract, his firm performed sterling work for me on a previous job. He was not directly involve and the work went off without a hitch. The final product was just perfect--the reason why I contacted with him in the first place.

Everything went great! - I bought a new house and I was struggling to work on everything myself and get moved in as soon as possible. I had originally intended to paint the room myself but I was juggling too many things and falling behind schedule. I contacted the company to see if they could help me by painting the one room. They sent a painter over 2 days later (Alex). He arrived on time, was courteous and VERY Professional. I couldn't believe the difference a professional painter made. I had been painting other rooms in the house and to be quite honest, I am not a very good painter. Compared to the professional, that couldn't have been more evident. I am guessing that the room Alex painted would have taken me 2-3 days. Alex did it in about 5 hours. He was soooooo much faster than me and his quality was well above mine. Again, I can't believe how fast he was, how straight his lines / edging were. It was kinda amazing and sadly (lol!) a little embarrassing to see he was that much better than I. But again, that is why it pays to use a professional. I would use Alex again in a heartbeat!

They were very accommodating about meeting us quickly and came out and did a good job. They seemed professional about work and understanding of requirements. We would use them in the future.

Painting went great. Was able to use the 2 painters for a day deal for $650 to paint 5 rooms and the ceiling. The job ended up taking 2 days so the total was $1,300. Painters were nice and the responsiveness was excellent. Painters were able to start the next morning after we received the free estimate.

Great service! Ian contacted me immediately after i sent an email in to request service and an estimate. We set up a meeting and then set up a time for service. So appreciative of the quick turn around. His crew was wonderful. They came promptly at 800 and worked hard the entire time. My ceilings look great!

This was a pleasant experience. Ivan provided a very competitive quote and was responsive to all my questions prior to starting the project. They were ready to start work immediately, which sort of surprised me...in a good way. I actually had to ask them to wait a day so I could get some stuff out of the place first. On the appointed start day, they showed up on time at 8:30 with a three man crew and were able to complete all the work by the second say at 2pm. That included the walk-though and touch up work that is almost always required at the end of a painting job. Ivan was there at the end and he was almost as critical as I was during the walk-through. He sincerely wanted to make sure the painting was done properly which I appreciated. I plan to use Herndon again for my next property.

The workers arrived on time and Oscar (head worker) was very friendly and helpful. He did good work and anytime we weren't happy with something he immediately fixed it for us. We did have to double check some of the invoices to make sure we were billed properly, but Ivan was very friendly and helpful and fixed everything for us. Overall we were pleased with the quality of the end product and pricing. Hardwood floors are wonderful, especially with cats!

The company showed up on a Saturday to provide me with a quote for the install of the hardwood floors. They honored their deal of $1,020 for the first 200 square feet for Bruce Hardwood, which is a really good deal. They charged $7 per square foot beyond the 200, and also for the removal of the carpet and new thresholds. They said if I went with them they would be able to install the hardwood any day that upcoming week. I liked the fact that they gave me flexibility on the date of install and I didn't have to wait. On Tuesday, a guy came by to drop off the hardwood to get it climatized. On Thursday, they showed up to do the install but they were about an hour late. I called the owner and he said they were stuck in traffic. When I came back from work at the end of the day they were just about finished but they said they ran out of wood and needed to get one more box. The owner offered to split the cost of the final box 50-50, and I agreed. They said they might need to come back the next day to finish, but alas one of the guys showed up with one more box of wood to finish the job. They worked until about 7 pm to get the job done. They did a good job cleaning up afterwards and the floors looked great. While they were there I asked if they had any spackle in order spackel up a hole in the ceiling. The guy mixed the spackle right on the spot and patched up the hole free of charge. Not something he had to do so I appreciated it and will keep that in mind the next time I have work to be done. In the end, the price was really good and the installation looked great. They showed up late but I was willing to overlook that because of the price and the end result.

Couldn't be happier. Of all the painters we received estimates from, Herndon Service had the most reasonable price, and was the most responsive. Whenever I had a question, Ivan responded in a timely manner. His crew was very detailed and polite. I was super impressed with the prep work they did and the care they took in my home. I would definitely use them again!

I called Herndon Service due to their great reviews. I called their provided number and Ivan was able to come to my house the next day to provide a quote. I told him I needed some parts of the walls patched and sanded, celings/walls/trim painted in my kitchen, living room and walls in the staircase/upstairs. I let him know I was considering their two painters for the day for $650 and asked if they could get the work done in that time. He said that he thought there was a good chance they could and if not it would be $50/hour per painter after the 8 hours. I got quotes from 3 other vendors and they all came in around $1250 for the job. I bought their $650 deal and they were able to come out the next week. The two painters arrived at my house at 8am sharp and worked hard and carefully for the entire 8 hours. I got a call at around 6pm saying that they had completed the job. I came home from work and was very impressed with the quality of work they did. They were very respectful and cleaned everything up from the job. I will be using them again to paint my basement.

Contractor came out to do an assessment. It was roughly 175sq feet. Charged for 195sq feet accounting for some waste. There were a lot of add on charges such as removing appliances and other items. Total ended up being around $2200 (not including the big deal). With the bid deal it would have costed about 1800. These prices did not include materials which would have added another $500. This tripled my expected costs so I decided not to do the work. I'm not irritated as I received other quotes from other contractors and received similar numbers.

They were fine to work with. They did a neat job on the painting. There were two people here doing the work and they were on time for the appointment.

They did everything I asked them to. It turned out fine and everything is great. They are by far the most reasonably priced. It was nice because I go buy the stuff at big box stores and then he would just charge me for the install so he wasn’t even marking the stuff up. I was very happy. They were very responsive. I used them again when something backed up at the apartment. I called them up and they went over and fixed it for me.

We booked the deal and requested a visit to get organized. The vendor suggested that he just show up to do the work. We wanted to coordinate the work with other painting, and it was a challenge from our side as well has vendor's side to make this happen. Ultimately, we re-bid the work, including with other vendors from Angie's list, and finished the job to our satisfaction.

Everything went very smoothly. I liked his recommendation for the pain color and he painted the entire interior of my 3 story townhouse. The hardwood installation went smoothly - and looked beautiful. The toilet install (3 of them!) went well also. Ivan was very nice and easy to communicate with. I would gladly use his services again.

Ivan was excellent about getting back to me in a timely manner and even came out and did an estimate to tell me whether his team could get all the work I wanted done completed in the amount of time allotted in the coupon ($650 for two painters for the day (8 hours)). Ivan thought it might be a tall order to get everything done and it ultimately was - his team got about 50% of ALL the work done, and about 75% of the work they thought was realistic to complete. The quality of work was good - the only real complaints being they painted the front of doors, but not the back, and they did a poor job of taping off knobs, hinges, locks, etc. I would recommend Herndon Service to anyone looking for paint work and we're considering them for more jobs.

They arrived on time and wasted no time. They did a good job. They didn't speak English, which was a problem, but only a minor one.

The painting/rooms look excellent. They did a great job. We are very pleased. I had used them in the past for the painting of a bathroom for $125. They are very clean and picked up after themselves. It was very nicely done.

They were excellent. They were very good and as a matter of fact, we would like to continue using their services. We were very satisfied. Very meticulous. Very careful. I think it was a fair price.
