Ivan was quick to respond to phone calls and emails. He came and provided a quote the day after we spoke, and his guys came out to do the work two days later. They were on time, and did exactly what we expected.

These guys did a great job. They worked fast and neatly. I'm very happy with their work and will use this company again.

We used this company through an Angie's "Big Deal." The painters arrived promptly, got an understanding of the work to be done, wasted no time in setting up, draping, etc., and finished with time to spare.

See above for what happened. The only hard part is estimating how much paint and calk you will need to do the job others are going to perform for you. I ended up buying an extra gallon of paint the gents painting my house did not use. My fault and not theirs. The whole experience was great and the price was fantastic based on what I have paid to have the house painted by other vendors. I actually paid 1300 dollars the last time to have this same exterior painted.

We had them come yesterday and the interior painting was very well done and we are going to use them to paint other rooms. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

As I've read on other reviews of this contractor, getting in touch with them was like pulling teeth. I called Wednesday evening and left a message. Emailed again Thursday night to ask if they could spend a day at my house within the next 10 days which was the time frame I had to work with. Their Angieslist page claims a guaranteed 4 business hour response to emails.... and sure enough, I got an email back Friday morning saying that they could do it within 10 days. I immediately emailed back to ask when. No response to that email by Saturday when I emailed again asking if I should find someone else to do the job. Sunday evening they finally replied asking for my address. I gave it and they asked what day I would like them to come. Half joking, I said tomorrow. They said they'd let me know TOMORROW after they check the calendar. I replied "can't you check your calendar tonight?" No reply until 8:30 AM the next day (monday morning). That reply said they could come that day, and they'd be there in an hour. I replied to confirm that they'd be there an hour after the email, which meant 930. They replied and said that it would be closer to 2 hours. So... scheduling them was a total debacle. Once that mess was done, the job went just fine. They didn't do much to clean up after themselves, but for the price I didn't think that was too unfair. But if you need a painting company that you can count on as far as scheduling, this is NOT your company. It shouldn't be that hard to be a LITTLE more responsive than they were. But in the end the job got done and done just fine, so I'm satisfied. But I wouldn't want anyone to read this review and not get an idea of the disaster that is trying to schedule them.

We had a hardwood floor put in after getting an Angie's List special offer. The service was great, the workers prompt and efficient. They found some damage underneath the old flooring which they were able to repair for a reasonable additional cost. Overall, we were very pleased with the work and would certainly use them again.

Although a little difficult to communicate with, either via phone or email, Ivan came to our house and sized up the job for the Angie's List coupon deal we had purchased. When we asked if he would do a little bit more, he wasted no time in giving us a written estimate. We then set the installation date. Ivan and his assistant arrived on time and went immediately to work at prepping the site and installing the flooring. After about 6 hours, they were finished. They cleaned up and we gave them the extra money for the work we requested. The place looks fantastic. They did an excellent job!

Ivan showed up on the date promised although it was pretty late in the day. I explained what I wanted done and he told me he couldn't do the work until after he received the check from Angies List on March 10th. He contacted me on the 12th and asked me to contact him to schedule the work. I e-mailed him and asked if they could do it on Wednesday the 14th. He responded back that the earliest they could do it was on the 15th. We traded a few e-mails back and forth and the work was scheduled for the 15th. I'll say that he was not very prompt at responding to E-mails and I sometimes had to e-mail more than once to get an answer. I asked what time they would be there and he told me around 9 AM. At 10 AM he called and told me they were running late and were picking up the materials. He then asked me questions about the size of the doors in the room and other things that he should have already know because he came out to look at the job. I don't think he wrote anything down because it was like he had never been to my house. They finally arrived at 11 AM. The installers went to work immediately and finished the job in 3 hours. I thought they did a very good job and the floor is great. While the end result was very satisfactory, I think there is a lot of room for improvement in the process that takes place before the work is done.

Ivan, the owner, was very nice. The workers however were quite slow. They were supposed to paint the loft and a bedroom and a dressing area in the time slotted by the Big Deal I purchased. They didn't so I had to pay an additional amount. The owner felt bad for having to charge me an additional fee. I ended up splitting the difference with them. They did a beautiful job with what they finished. It was just a little a disappointed with the communication breakdown and that I didn't get all rooms completed.

I purchased a deal on Angie's list for $900 for 200 sq ft of flooring installed. Each additional sq ft was $5 psf. I had a total of 450 sq ft installed. Ivan came to measure and sent Oscar to do the installation. It was my job to remove the old carpet and prepare for the installation otherwise it would have cost more. I didn't mind since it saved me a few bucks. Oscar came and they installed it all including quarter round moulding and some bullnose for stairs in about 6 to 7 hours. They cleaned up everything when they left. Vacuumed. Even hauled my old carpet off for me. They did an outstanding job and I could not recommend them more. I will definitely be calling them to do my stairs in the future.

I liked them a lot. I think they did a great job. He ran out of white paint at some point. He went out on his truck and got some materials so that he could finish up. He worked really hard and did a great job. I would definitely use them in the future.

I some with Ivan after the job was measured and explained that I had the flooring and tile. He offered to do the entire job, to include removing the carpet and existing flooring, remove and reinstall the toilet, and install 300 sq ft of Bruce Hardwood, and 40 sq ft of tile (in the bathroom). He accepted the "big Deal" price of $900 as payment in full. This was a deal that couldn't be matched, and the results have added tremendous value to my home, not only from the appearance of the new flooring but also from the outstanding quality workmanship that Ivan's crew put into this job. His crew worked steady for the entire day and the job was complete when they left that evening. I had expected the work to take 3 days, and was shocked when they said they'd be done that day. They did not scrimp on quality of workmanship. I showed off the finished product to my neighbors who were quiet amazed at the end result. I would recommend Herndon Svc to anyone needing work done. Ivan has the best crew working for him.

They were prompt and did a fine job. I was pleased with this company and will use them again in the future.

The overall experience was very pleasant. I called the company late one weekday evening (well past the typical close of business hour), and someone returned my call that night. The next day, one of the company executives came to my home to assess my property. I received thorough estimates that same day, and all the work I wanted done was accomplished over the next few days. It was a very quick turn around project for all of the improvements I wanted. Excellent service!

They were responsive to my request, and seemed very professional. However, their price was higher than others, so I decided to hire a different company.

Overall I was not satisfied with the job that they did for me. I will not use them again in the future.

We purchased a somewhat distressed property in Leesburg and after reading several positive reviews on Angies List, we asked Ivan Torres to give us an estimate on painting and some plumbing for this townhouse. I appreciated very much the fact that he didn't sugar coat the job from the start. He was very honest in his assessment of what was needed. He gave his opinion on things like what the trends are in paint color and window treatments. He even said he could get us a discount on supplies (and he did)! He and the company were very knowledgeable about how much paint and what type would be needed to achieve the end result we were looking for. The painters were able to start within days and met me at the home at the time we had agreed on. The painters numbered enough to get the job done in a timely manner. Being a woman among many men, I felt safe and my concerns were listened to instead of balked at. There was an area that we had some concern over mold and another over water leaking and in both areas the crew knew just what products to use to treat these areas and it looked very nice when they were done. When I asked about an area that I hadn't discussed ahead of time with Ivan (ripping out part of a counter top) the crew did this at no extra charge. When the work was done, I inspected it and it looked very nice. There was one concern on the plumbing fixtures and Ivan had the plumbers come back out right away to fix it and would not take payment until it was done correctly. All receipts for supplies were presented to me as well. After another contractor came in to install carpet, Ivan himself and a skilled painter came out to inspect and tweek areas that had gotten roughed up during carpet installation. They even helped me move a piece of furniture that i wasn't able to move myself. Overall, I was very happy with the service and thrilled to find a company that still abides by such high standards.

After hiring Ivan a week ago for a paint job, I called him ago to patch up an area of a sink I had removed in my bedroom. and sure enough, he gave me a price that beat another contractor I talked to and was able to get the job done all in one day. Ivan is the most reliable painting contractor I ever dealt with. Wouldn't hesitate to hire him again. Thanks ivan!

After another contractor failed to show up, I called Ivan and he responded immediately. He got his guys in and they did an outstanding job in a short amount of time. Ivan does awesome work, and I would certainly hire him again!

The following is a description of my experience. There are too many issues to address in long hand; so I will create bullet points. The PAINTERS: * Arrived late. * Were found spitting in my driveway shortly after arrival. * Left paint tracked through my living room * Did not remove fixtures prior to painting. Old paint can be seen around the edges of fixtures in contrast to new paint * Did not prime. Old paint could easily be seen under new paint * Wasted time standing around talking amongst themselves and on their personal cell phones. This made a one-day job turn into a second day which was not in line with the owner's prediction * Second day follow-up was not consecutive but several weeks after the first day and equaled less than a half day of work * Bad mouthed the owner and said he doesn't know what it really takes to properly paint and so cannot quote jobs properly * Offered their own separate business card to me and told me to call them directly for follow-up or new work * They left the job site early the second day and still did not finish the agreed upon work * The owner never returned to inspect the final work * I had to finish the job myself * I would never hire them again

Ivan met me for the estimate and we scheduled the work to begin the following Monday. Throughout the whole process Ivan was easy to get in touch with and always quick to get back to me. I liked the fact that Ivan pointed out small things that needed to be fixed/touched out after the work had been done, without having to mention them myself. I feel this shows that he puts quality of workmanship very high on his priority list. The quality of the painting was top notch, even better than the previous owner of the home had done, whom was a painter by trade. The storm door install and cleaning service were also done very well. I would definitely use Herndon Service again in the future and recommend to anyone looking for top notch painting as well as odds and ends fixed around the house.

They were pretty good. They have done some work for me about a year and a half ago. They charged me $800 for the first set of things that they did and then $300 for the second set. They were on time and did good work. They did extra for free that wasn't in the initial agreement. It was a good price.

This was by far my very best experience with an Angie's List provider. Ivan Torres promptly conducted the inspection, provided me an estimate and volunteered to get the paint for me, using his discount. Estimated that the job would take 3 days, but it only took 2 days. There were 5 painters on the 1st day and 4 painters on the 2nd day. They worked extremely well and efficiently as a team. They covered all the carpets and other flooring surfaces, ensuring no problems with that. Ivan conducted a thorough inspection during and at the end of the job. I would like to also mention that Ivan went above and beyond. Since I also wanted to get the carpets cleaned before moving in, he said I should be very careful about choosing a carpet cleaning service. He voluntarily went on Angie's List, contacted a company to discuss cleaning options, then emailed be with the name, phone number, and estimated cost for a company using natural products. I had this company clean my carpets yesterday.
