Herndon Service

The crew led by Enrique showed up on time - literally to the minute - and were extremely professional. They cleaned up very well and were gracious in my home. They did an excellent job and showed a great attention to detail. Finished the whole job in a day and left things as they found them. Enrique was very nice to work with and I would def recommend them to paint.

I bought the $650 deal for one day of painting. I called Herndon Service, and they answered and set a date for me immediately. I actually had to change the date of service, because the person I had working on my drywall did not complete the job. I called HS to see if they could come early to finish up the drywall (at an extra cost), and the were very helpful. They fixed up the drywall in no time and a couple days later came back for the painting job. I had them paint a huge basement and hallway, difficult in some spots because of darker colors that needed coverage. They were on time, communicative, and very professional. The basement looks fabulous.

They were quick to get us in. They did a great job.

Luckily, I had a backup plan.

It was difficult finding anyone who would reface old cabinets so I was happy when I received a call back from Ivan the next day. He gave me a very reasonable quote and said the work would take three days. In actuality, the painters worked so hard, without taking hardly any breaks, that they were able to finish in a day and a half. This worried me at first because I thought they were rushing to finish and the quality would be poor. I was very wrong. They did a fantastic job and they were very friendly and helpful answering any questions. I'm about to call them again to have my downstairs painted!

The owner worked with me, pleasantly!, through my many scheduling changes . The 2 painters did a good quality job painting all the trim and doors throughout my one bedroom condo in one day. They did an excellent job. I would definitely call on Herndon Service again for my painting needs.

Herndon Service responded quickly to an estimate request arriving in 45 minutes. We were on a short deadline and they were willing to work with us and begin the job the day after the estimate. They initially said the job would take two days. They arrived promptly at 8:00 AM to begin painting. We had different colors for each room which required multiple coats each. The four guys did an amazing professional job. The walls turned out very deep and rich, and the baseboards were crisp with clean lines. One room needed 4 coats of paint because of the color we chose. They did all this and completed the whole job by 6:00 PM of the first day - there was no second day. When I did my final inspection walk through at the end, I only found 2 minor blemishes which when I pointed them out they were immediately fixed. Their service came with a guarantee that if we notice any issues with paint job in the next few weeks we could call them back and they would fix it. I would highly recommend Herndon Service to anyone needing a really nice and professional paint job. Just a note: The quoted price was for labor only, I purchased the paint separately, but they brought their own painting supplies: tarps, brushes, rollers, trays, tape, etc.

They came out and did what they were supposed to do. I think they actually did a little bit more than they were supposed to do. Overall, we were very satisfied with them.

Herndon Service was delightful to work with and as nice as could be. There was a bit of a language barrier but we were able to become clear about the work. They did a superb job of covering things up and they were patient to wait for additional supplies. I would recommend them.

I used an Angie's List Big Deal special for this service. They did a great job and I have no complaints at all; I recommend them. They were professional and clean-up was good. I think their price was reasonable.

Overall I am very pleased with the job that Herndon Service did. They performed interior painting of a family room with cathedral ceilings and a loft/office above. We had 2 contractors price it up, and Herndon Service was lower. There was a little bit of confusion with the estimate that was provided, but Ivan was able to work it out with me. The painters that showed up were prompt and worked quickly to complete the paint job in less than 6 hours. They were efficient and professional. They did the necessary drywall touchup prior to painting. Overall, I am pleased and I would use them again.

Overall it was OK. I had drywall, painting, tile work and laminate flooring done. There were some big mistakes made but Ivan was such a gentleman and very polite and helpful. He fixed the problems without hesitation. I was especially pleased with the services of Oscar who did the flooring. Excellent work and very very professional. I would recommend his services again. Very reasonable prices from this company and overall a good experience. I have already recommended this company to a friend. July 2013: It has been six months now and the grout is breaking up and coming loose in my bathroom floor.

They were great! Efficient, communicative, and tidy. It was a great experience.

Though I had thought I had bought two buckets of exactly the same color, one of the painters noticed that the store had used a different base, which made one of the buckets a slightly diffferent color. The difference wasn't evident except when applied right up against where the other bucket of paint had been used. As a result, we worked out a way for making maximum use of the paint by using one in the small foyer and the other in the main living room. White woodwork was between the two rooms and made this a workable solution without having to buy more paint. The workmanship was excellent and both painters worked steadily to complete the job very quickly.

Great job overall. The ceiling and trim work looks great. I had done the drywall work and chair rail and trim installation myself, and the only issue arose when they primed over the 30 or so drywall repair locations on our main dining room area wall rather than prime the entire wall with one continuous primer coat as we had asked. They were extremely apologetic and came back a second day to redo the work at no charge, which gave me a chance to repair a drywall seam I hadn't fixed the first time, and now everything looks absolutely fantastic. They did a quick and thorough job, and the finish looks very professional, almost architectural digest type. We are very happy with the job Nelson and David did, and with Ivan who coordinated everything.

I talked to Ivan at Herndon Service and he walked through the rooms with me and asked questions about what needed to be done in each space. The quote he provided the next day was lower than others I'd received, so based on that and the other reviews here, I signed the contract with him. The crew showed up a week later and worked tirelessly for three days. They were polite, efficient, neat and thoroughly professional. There was one small area they didn't paint but when I talked about it with Ivan, he sent them back the next day to complete the job to my satisfaction. I will definitely use Herndon Service again. In fact, they will be coming after the holidays to paint three more rooms!

Overall, the job went well! I gave a "B" rating for responsiveness because it was time-consuming and a bit frustrating to confirm when the crew would arrive. Apparently, there was a mix-up in the scheduling office. However, the crew of two painters did a wonderful, thorough, and professional job. My Big Deal was for a set number of painters' hours (labor only), so we did all the prep work ourselves of taping around areas not to be painted, etc. We also provided all paint and some other materials like rollers brushes. They had other tools including rollers and ladders. The crew actually finished the entire job within the number of hours we purchased, which was a real bargain!

As above - arrived promptly, were prepared, friendly and efficient, used the paint we specified, did an excellent job of painting, then cleaned up after themselves. Finished on time and on budget.

It went very well. Two painters showed up with their equipment. I provided the paint but they took the time to adequately cover floors and move furniture and cover it before proceeding . They seemed to know what they were doing and were open to suggestions . They finished the work on time without any damage and moved the furniture back before leaving.
