Description of Work: During a recent kitchen remodeling, Flooring America was responsible for the flooring, the countertop, and the tile (floor & backsplash) and for the overall planning of the kitchen. REICO (who shares the retail space with them) was responsible for the kitchen cabinets and appliances and primarily for the design. Both companies were responsive when problems arose (counter was cut for the wrong style sink). My personal contractor did the demo work and installed the new kitchen. Flooring America made needed repairs to the floor (was uneven, needed new joists).

Description of Work: Carpeting was replaced throughout my townhouse (3 floors). The installers were wonderful -- punctual and professional. After they left, I noticed that 2 stairs and a landing were not finished the same way as the other stairs in the house (25-ish). I had requested that the stairs be finished in the "New York" style, and most of them were, but these 3 were not. I immediately contacted the Ashburn office and spoke with Karen. She told me that the steps could be fixed, but I would need to pay another $500 to do so. She then sent me a "Certificate of Satisfaction", which I signed but detailed my dissatisfaction. Nothing was done. I have 3 very visible, oddly-finished stairs.
