Description of Work: Remodeled our Kitchen as well replaced floors in the foyer, hallway and half bath. | |Collins Tile and Stone provided the best contracting service we have ever experienced. On the eve of the day our project was to begin, we suffered a family emergency that threw our lives into chaos. Unexpectedly being away from home every day, unable to oversee progress and offer daily input could have turned into a complete disaster but Collins Tile and Stone ensured the exact opposite. |The work teams arrived on time each day and worked with practically no down time to get the job done. Even the neighbors commented on how professional and courteous they were and how tidy they left the property at days end. And then there's Buck. He is not only professional, but, the most proactive contractor we've met. He was extremely sensitive and attentive to the evolving needs of our family. In a word he is wonderful. Buck and Steve kept a nervous homeowner calm and confident that everything would be perfect. We are extremely pleased with our renovation. Thank you to the entire Team at Collins Tile and Stone.

Description of Work: Excellent service provider! Collins removed our old kitchen floor, and installed a new kitchen floor (Italian porcelain - Slatey Ochre, purchased from Mosaic Tile), and we couldn't be happier. Even when they ran into problems with the old floor, and the replacement of the new floor, they did what needed to be done to ensure that the old surface was prepared properly in order that the new floor would work. Buck Collins (owner) is incredibly responsive (he actually answers emails!), and the workmen are extremely dedicated, and true professionals. We are considering re-doing our foyer, and possibly our kitchen backsplash (now that the floor looks so good, we are re-thinking our old backsplash), and would have them do both in a heart-beat. The cost might seem high for a relatively small kitchen (townhouse), but there was a lot more work involved in that small kitchen (both getting the old floor up, and installing the new floor), than either we, or Buck had envisioned.

Description of Work: They tiled our basement floor (about 400 square feet) and did a very good job making sure that the tiles were level and fitting the porcelain tile around all of the walls and angles. The tile was laid on an angle and they really took their time and did a great job. They were not the cheapest estimate, but they were definitely worth the money.
