Jared Blatt, with Century 21 Redwood Realty, is an amazing realtor! He is extremely knowledgeable about the areas and neighborhoods he buys and sells in, the buying and selling process (from house hunting to closing), and the steps and contacts necessary to make the whole process painless. Jared has the ability to listen to the client and adjust his approach to the needs and challenges of the situation. As a first time home buyer he helped me navigate what seemed like a scary prospect, was able to answer every questions thoroughly and with detail, and negotiated the details of the agreement easily. He successfully guided me through the closing and even now is providing me valuable references for such things as movers and yard maintenance. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for an agent!

During closing I asked the closing agent (which the buyer wanted to use) if this was typical for a realtor to bring this up at closing. She said that the issues around the home inspection are long resolved prior to closing. As a result we had to put a 1000 in escrow. After back and forth with the home inspector and the HVAC rep, the issue was finally resolve, a week and a half after closing to the tune of 1700.00 The issue I have is she should have been diligent and reviewed the documentation prior to closing. I wouldn't hire her to represent me if I was selling a dog house. Even if you want to move and are happy that you sold your home, it's an emotional roller coaster. Having this dumped on us at the closing table is not appropriate. Her ability to communicate in an effective way was non existent. Our realtor had to totally by pass her and deal directly with the buyer. If you have to deal with her because she is representing a seller, you should add a performance clause that states if her lack of attention or detail delays closing you will withhold money from the contract. I am utterly disappointed with her and the company she represents.
