Now that I know Dewayne, I would never call anyone else. Dewayne does wonderful work, is responsive and informative, took a great deal of time to explain his process and his findings, and gave me great advice for the future. I could not be more satisfied or appreciative.

The work was completed on time in an extremely honest and professional manner. The team was neat and cleaned up on completion. Most importantly, every facet of the work was explained to me, and I was provided recommendations for an every other year cleaning along with “advance warning signs” that would indicate an earlier cleaning was needed. Based on the work done, I plan to hire this company later to clean my air ducts.

It went great. They showed up on time and verified the work to be completed and explained to me in detail what would happen. Because of our location a lot more was involved in the cleaning, the price did not change and the work was done as professional as I have seen. We have them scheduled to come back out for our dryer vents, and will be using them for other work.

This is the second time using A Plus. DeWayne is the owner and the one who came to do the work. What seemed like a dryer vent cleaning need turned out to be a major project. The internal duct had broken internally at joints. DeWayne came twice to diagnose, create a temporary solution, go to Home Depot to buy parts and to come back and do a perfect repair and cleaning. He actually didn't have an opening but squeezed me in during the night due to my need. I can't stress enough how professional and thorough he is and fairly priced. After two visits that totaled over 4 hours to do the very hard work (we had to have the basement ceiling removed in sections to gain access and he had a challenge getting access to and repairing the failed joints) we felt he asked too little in his billing ($200) so we increased the pay to him by 50%. Everything now works perfectly and he cleans up all lint and dirt. He is top notch. Highly recommended.

From the initial estimate to the completion of the project Dewayne explained the costs, the process and how long the job would take. Dewayne showed up on time on the date that we agreed. He was very professional and after each unit was cleaned he explained what he found and thoroughly cleaned his work area before moving on to the next unit. They went above and beyond when cleaning the dryer vents which hadn't been cleaned since the house was built. They had to locate the vents which weren't obvious and, once located, climbed on top of the house on a steep roof to remove the cap and locate a large lint blockage. I would recommend Dewayne and will use him again the next time we need this type of service. He and his team were professional, friendly, thorough and very cost competitive.

Dewayne was very professional and courteous from start of job to finish. His quality of work is excellent and he took the time to explain what he was doing .I had one of those dryer vents that he had to climb up to roof for proper cleaning and the last air duct company I used was not willing to do that. Great service! Very professional and the entire process was explained thoroughly. DeWayne was very conscientious about keeping our carpet, wood floors and walls protected. We are very happy with the results and recommend this company highly!

DeWayne is a really great guy, and it's clear that he takes pride in his work. He showed up on time, was very careful unloading and maneuvering his incredibly heavy equipment around the house. He brought in this massive suction machine and hooked it up to our air handler. He then removed all of the registers (carefully - some were painted over and he did a decent job with the exact-o knife) and went in with a high-pressure air blower. This blew all of the dust through the ducts and into the machine. No dust made its way into the house which was awesome. He showed me befores and afters as he was doing the work -- it was pretty remarkable. Even though it made him late for his next appointment he stayed to complete the work which took a bit longer than he thought it would (primarily due to our not being able to locate the dryer vent). DeWayne went above and beyond. Will definitely call again in the future (which shouldn't be soon).

A Plus did an excellent job of cleaning the ductwork in a house that we just purchased. Dewayne was extremely detailed and thorough in his work and we couldn't be more pleased with the results. He took the time to show us the before and after conditions and make valuable recommendations for upkeep and maintenance. Dewayne, the owner, did an outstanding job in our home cleaning the ducts. He has a very pleasant personality and is absolutely focused on doing a very thorough job which for us required over 7 hours of work with his specialty equipment. When he was completed he had found and handled some initial mold problems in our upstairs ducts and discovered some other issues that surprised us but were corrected by him during the visit. Dewayne provides a very competitive quote and does not up sell or add in extra costs for clearing the laundry vent or any other items during the visit. He quoted a flat fee over the phone which was the cost when he completed. Considering the job quality, pricing, overall work ethic and positive personality demonstrated by Dewayne, I am now a fan and will be using him again.

Dewayne came out to inspect the vent the same day I called. He was very friendly, well spoken, and he pet my dog. He shared some of his past experiences with me - as a GMU grad and former school teacher he switched careers and built his company up by himself with hard work and dedication. Anyway, after a search for the external opening to the vent (which we never found) he went to the bathroom to see what he could find from there. He thoroughly searched for the source of the smell including using a specialized fiber optic camera to peer down the vent. There was no evidence of an animal inside and Dewayne concluded that the animal was probably not in the vent after all - it could have been in the ceiling or wall. Instead of taking the vent apart and charging me to clean it unnecessarily, he explained everything to me and saved me the extra time and expense. He must have stayed for a half an hour yet he did not charge me for anything. He told me that if the smell persists I could call him back and he would pull the ceiling open and clean out the vent.

Went great. Dewayne was punctual, efficient and professional. He took great care with my house and my hardwood floors. He explained the process and how to evaluate if problems with the dryer vent. However, he stated that since the venting for the dryer was fairly straight through the house to the outside, I shouldn't need it cleaned again for several years. His price was as quoted. I would definitely use this service again.

Dwayne was punctual, polite, thorough; a consummate professional. He demonstrated great care for my house and its belongings. He educated me on the process, especially in regards to how to tell the the authentic air duct cleaning from the scams. Do use a company that uses a HEPA filter vacuum, takes down each duct and whose vacuum comes in the house. Don't use a company where the vacuum stays on the truck or charges per duct. He also set realistic expectations about how long to expect the scent to last and how long to wait before the next air duct cleaning is needed. He even cleaned my furnace filter, so I wouldn't have to install a new one. Overall, it was as pleasant an experience as could be expected.

We shopped extensively for the best value and quality of this service after receiving price quotes ranging from $49 (coupon in the mail) to $1,826. After calling one of the most respected air conditioning and heating companies in our area, they referred us to the only company they recommend--A Plus Air Duct Cleaning--which did the job for $395. This is a very small business (one-man operation). The owner, Dwayne, was responsive, exceptionally knowledgeable, thorough, and professional. He is also certifiied by the National Air Duct Cleaning Association (NADCA). We were very pleased with the experience and would hire him again.
