This was a wonderful experience. Alison is an artist by profession who is just doing this to pay her way so that she can do what she really loves. I have referred her to other people and I have only had positive feedback. Her prices are less than most others. I had one other organizer and she said she was "overwhelmed" by my stuff and did very little. Alison, on the other hand, helped me move heavy stuff, put stuff into the attic, load programs onto my computer and get me more up to date with figuring out basic technology (I did get out of date), such as how to take photos with a digital camera, how to load them onto my computer, etc. She has been very enjoyable. She also does not come ready to sell organizing equipment as some "professional organizers" do.
Description of Work: Alison arrived ready to work and quickly moved things around to clear off the dining room table, the kitchen table, and part of the basement. She attached a light in the basement, which other contractors just looked at and didn't attach. She attached smoke detectors to ceilings. She helped me to clear out many bags of paper and to make piles for donations. In terms of price, her fee is $50 per hour. Other organizers are usually $70 or more per hour.
