Adam, from Structural Engineering Solutions, was thorough, meticulous, and professional. He took his time explaining the cause of the problem and the available options to fix the issue. Turns out my contractor had misdiagnosed the issue. Adam provided great advice on the parts of the project I could do myself and the parts that were best left to a contractor. Definitely would recommend talking to Structural Engineering Solutions before talking to a contractor.

After Mid Atlantic attempted to scam me with scare tactics, I hired this company for an indepependent assessment of my foundation with no sales pressure. Mr. Oman did exactly that, and I am following his recommendations to the letter.

Experience purchasing a house through a renovation loan. Thought the evaluation was thorough but the underwriter requested that the SE come back out to take a closer look at another crack before the loan could be closed. This service would have cost an additional $400 dollars for him to look at 1 single crack. I could not respect that. A follow up fee, yes. But the cost of a new evaluation? No.

Structural Engineering Solutions provides a structural engineer who analyzes the problem and r=writes a report with plans. This company does not provide construction services to implement the plans.

I am purchasing a 125 year old row house in Washington DC. I wanted a structural engineer to inspect the house and provide information about it's structural integrity. Alsaid, of Structural Engineering Solutions, was excellent. He did a careful visual inspection of the house. He was professional and explained to me his observations. I needed the inspection done in two days. Alsaid responded quickly to my email inquiry and was able to come see the house in the evening. Alsaid was available for follow up questions the next day. I was able to get the information I needed to make a good decision. (I bought the house). The inspection cost $ 450 and I feel a good value. I highly recommend Structural Engineering Solutions.
