WORST EXPERIENCE EVER This is long post. Here is a quick summary - 6 hours late, arrived without dolly, never called to update us, and wanted more money than agreed to. SPEND YOUR MONEY ON A BETTER, MORE RELIABLE MOVER. It has taken me months to write this review because I was so angry about my experience with Pringle & Sons. My wife and I were moving from a one-bedroom apartment to our new home less than 3 miles away. There were a few pieces we did not want to/could not move on our own - china hutch, sofa, dressers, and our bed. We found a deal on Amazon for two movers and 27-foot truck for 2 hours plus equipment - moving pads and a dolly. Since our focus was on the big stuff and it was a short distance, we thought this would be sufficient. We called and were scheduled for noon on a Saturday. We broke down our furniture, wrapped and boxed up what we needed to, and got ready for the move all that week. On the morning of the move, we started moving things into the hallway and onto the sidewalk in front of our apartment building to make things easier. When 12:30 rolled around and we had not heard from or seen anyone, we started trying to call. When we finally go through to someone, the company rep explained that the people scheduled for the move before us had more stuff than the company anticipated, so it was taking longer. We were told that they were moving in Arlington all day. An hour later, we had not heard anything. We started trying to call again. We spoke to the operations director several times that afternoon, but he never once called us to give us an update. Each time we received an update was because we called their office repeatedly. By 4:00 pm - 4 hours after the movers were supposed to arrive and two hours after they were supposed to be finished with our move - we were losing our patience. We got through again and were told that the movers had finished with the move before ours, were stopping to get food, and would be on their way to us. In the course of the conversation, the operations director (son of the owner) proceeded to argue with my wife and blamed us for the problem. He did apologize when my wife pointed out that not once had he called us or apologized for the poor service. We recognized that it was out of his control, but he had very dissatisfied customers and had done nothing to help the situation. At 4:45, the movers called to tell us they were on their way. They called again half an hour later to say that they could not drive their truck down I-66 to us because they were restricted. That's right - it turns out they were in the next county (or further) all day. We gave them directions and called back to the office to complain again. The movers finally rolled up at 6 pm. There is absolutely no way that the truck was 27 feet, more like 17, but it was large enough for what we had. By that time, we had moved most of the smaller pieces to the sidewalk for quick loading; we wanted to keep to our 2 hours. The movers took their time getting the truck ready while my wife and I continued to carry pieces out to the sidewalk. They realized at some point that they had forgotten their dolly at the last job. Without this piece of equipment, the move took longer than we anticipated. They commented at one point that we seemed to be in a hurry, and we reminded them that we had been waiting six hours and wanted to keep our move to the two-hour limit. The movers actually did a good job. I could not watch when the moved several pieces without the dolly or any other moving equipment - lifting belts, forearm forklift straps, or anything. Despite my fears, everything arrived without a scratch. The two guys moved a few things into place and were done at 8:24. We wrote them the check for the $100 and tipped them cash to get dinner on the way to their next move. As soon as we closed the door, we received our first phone call from the company all day. After the movers were 6 hours late, did not have the necessary equipment, and never updated us once during the day, THE COMPANY ASKED US TO PAY FOR THE EXTRA 24 MINUTES. We explained as calmly as we could that we were not going to pay - at least at that time. When the operations director accused us of not wanting to pay for services we received, we reminded him that the service was 6 hours late, did not include the promised equipment which led to the move taking longer than it should have, and that we had been begging for updates all day. We said that he could call us to discuss it further on Monday if he wanted and ended the call. In summary, this was not a terrible experience. The movers did a good job and got caught in the middle of a bad situation. The operations director showed poor customer service and management skills. We determined that the 2-hour moves had been scheduled back-to-back without any time for travel. There was never a call made to us to update. We had to ask for an apology when we finally got through to the operations manager and he verbally attacked us. Look elsewhere for your moving needs.

hey scheduled I hired Pringle and Sons to move some furniture. Not a lot, just a couple of hours worth. They scheduled me for 8am...and never showed up. ever. I called and called and was never able to get anyone, and no one returned my messages. I waited around until 1 pm, and finally decided to drum up some help and move the furniture myself. I will never use them again, and I don't recommend you do, either.

They arrived just a few minutes before the agreed upon window which wasn't late, but had me worried. The two movers introduced themselves and immediately had me escort them to my unit where they worked hard for a hour and a half straight completing the job beyond my satisfaction. They did exactly as instructed and did it with a smile. I will definitely use them again!!! Thank you Eric and Chuck!!!
Description of Work: Pringle & Sons rearranged my storage unit from a 5x15 to a 5x8 saving me $50 dollars per month and the pricing was very reasonable. They put the items I needed towards the front so I could access what I needed while unitizing all the space in the back of our unit.
