Very well. Power wash on Friday, crew of 8 accomplished everything else on Monday. Very prompt and professionally done from estimates to completion. New rotted wood was found in a few locations higher up and this was added to estimate at 50% of cost for materials: $160. This was offered even though a 10% discount coupon for Angie's List members brought the original $3900 estimate to $3510. They seemed to be a very customer oriented company with apparently every intention to delight rather than to just get the job over with. A Potts family member was present at all times to insure the quality of the crew's work.

They were very prompt with an estimate. We scheduled a date for the painting. They came a day early, which was nice, but never contacted us that they were coming early and they didn't have the specific paint colors we wanted just the general colors. So they painted the house in red and white when what we wanted Chianti and Hushed White. A simple phone call that they were starting the work early would have prevented the problem. BUT, they were very responsive and came back and repainted the house in the correct colors, no charge. They were very nice to deal with and I would use them again. Only I would make sure they had the exact colors at the time of the estimate.

The porch and stairs look great! The Potts Bros. company was quick, responsive, and professional. Their team who did the painting was happy, laughing and singing -- a joy to have around. They power washed, removed the old screening, scraped, primed and painted. our 12x12 porch and the flight of stairs from it to the yard. They painted and installed the new screen door and offered to add a non-skid treatment to the second coat on the stairs at no additional charge. The entire experience was a pleasure and we will plan to hire them again.

Price may be a little bit on the high side but they do great work. Very fast, thorough and professional.

We hired Potts Brothers as the General Contractor to renovate our kitchen and bathroom, and they did an outstanding job. They also painted the entire first and second floors of our interior home and the work was equally outstanding. All work was done professionally with excellent quality and an eye toward detail. They made pertinent design recommendations and also listened to our wants and needs. All work was begun and completed on agreed upon time table and everything was cleaned up at the completion of each day. They truly made a concerted effort at minimizing any inconveniences to us. Workers showed up on time each day and worked hard all day long, and were very courteous. Estimates were fair and reasonable and they stuck to their word on the letter and spirit of the contract. We consider Potts Brothers a very reliable, trustworthy and high quality company, as well as being very nice people. We will definitely consider using them for future projects.

The estimate was quick and as an Angie's member I received a 10% discount on the cost. I did change my mind on the color I choose for my bedroom and there was no issue with that. I assume they may expect that from customers and may not purchase the paint till the day before or day off job. I really like Al, the individual who has done my estimates, he is extremely helpful and friendly. I have used this company twice in the past for other painting jobs, interior and exterior and will use them again when needed. The workers are very friendly and leave everything clean. I have always been pleased with the results.

The company came twice. Once, in December, when the weather was favorable, they repaired the double carport ceiling and painted it two coats, all in one full day. Later, they repaired and painted one bedroom and closet, and three walls of the recreation room. They scheduled the work ahead of time, arrived promptly as promised, and again completed the work in one day. All work professionally and pleasantly done. We would highly use and recommend this company in the future.

The company was responsive to my request for an estimate and I received the email quote within a couple days. They did follow-up by email while I was waiting for estimates from other companies. They were willing to work with my schedule for when to begin the job. They completed the job on time but left while I was away. When I got home I found that they probably left 10 minutes before I was scheduled to get home with the knowledge that there were some items that I wanted retouched. Two of these items were done. They came back out a week later to finish the items I was not satisfied with. By this time I already had their invoice in my email. I made it very clear with their office that they would need to arrive by 11 a.m. in order to complete the jobs before I had other obligations and would have to leave. When they arrived at 12:30 they pressured me to allow them to 'do what they could' before I had to leave. The owner stayed long enough to collect a check. I had to rearrange my schedule to allow time for them to do the work they did. I am still not satisfied with the exterior touch ups to one of my attic vents. When I addressed this with the foreman, he said it would need to be replaced and I'd have to deal with the office to address it. This was one of the items I asked them to address before they left the first trip - why am I only now hearing this??? There is still a rotted board on the exterior that has been on the list of items to REPLACE on the outside of my house. When I brought it up, again, when they came to retouch it was sanded and painted again. Why? The interior touch ups were done as quickly as possible (read single coat) and I can still see primer through the paint. There are still paint spatters and smears in the grain of my hardwood floors. Overall, I am glad to not have to do all this work myself; they did it a lot faster than I ever could have. But I am dissatisfied with the follow up service and the quality of the interior painting. I expected that more prep work would have been done rather than just paining over some of the bumps - especially on my trim. I also expected the lines between ceiling and wall or trim and wall to be sharper than I could/would have done myself. This is not the case and I'm doing all I can to try to ignore it rather than deal with them more to get it fixed.

Excellent job...the were very professional...they went out and purchased the exact paint that I wanted at no charge...my living room looks so good. They also moved furniture and placed it back in the exact location, vacuumed floor, removed debris, and even put my pictures back on the wall. When they left, it looked like my living room had never been touched. Excellent supervisor and crew...I would recommend them to anyone.

Potts Brothers did exceptional work. The crew arrived on time, moved and protected furniture with drop cloths and immediately got to work. They sanded imperfections and did a thorough job with the prep work. They applied two to three coats of paint and finished in a single day. They did an exceptionally good job with the trim, repainting seven interior doors in the process. The crew cleaned as they went, dusting and sweeping the hardwood floor before leaving. My wife's comment upon coming home was, "Wow. It's like a new home. Makes me wonder why we didn't do this a long time ago." I told Mr. Potts that I am an Angie's List member and that I was giving them an 'A' for the work. He thanked me and said that they'd been getting a lot of work from Angie's List. After this experience, I understand why.

They were very prompt, fast and thorough and did a great job. Wouldn't ya know it - right after they finished on Friday, it dumped an inch and a half of rain! We found that on Saturday morning the slate blue paint just drooled all down the light grey trim and the painters were gone. We were bummed thinking it would take another chunk of change to fix - which we don't have, but they came back on Monday at no charge and put another coat on the main exterior, and fixed the trim and we never would have known there was a problem.

They provided a prompt & accurate estimate, which was very competitive with another estimate I received. They actually came a few days early to complete the job. The job site was clean, with no signs of paint drips or other debris on the ground. As far as I can tell, it looks to be a good job. I have a 3-story townhome, so I have no way to inspect the work closely.

This is a family-owned business that is truly a class act. They scheduled a visit the day after I called & I received an estimate that evening. The estimate included a detailed statement-of-work, down to individual board repairs, so it was clear what work they would perform. While not the lowest estimate I received, it was probably the most accurate & the quality was worth the price. The work started the next week & was completed in four days. Given the amount of work required this was a pleasant surprise. The crew had access to the interior of the house, where they were careful & left only footprints. The repair work was well done & the painting was excellent. During the repair work they discovered additional damage behind some rotted boards. Mr. Potts gave me an accurate estimate of the additional cost that was much less than I expected. They corrected a minor discrepancy with the fence the next day. Potts Brothers is a professional, quality operation & working with them was a pleasure. I recommend them without reservations.

They showed up very early with a large crew. It was amazing that they could get it all done in a days time. They cleaned up all the mess when they were done. They covered all my bushes and shrubs before they painted to prevent damage. They were just very nice people.

Excellent. Very professional and responsive. With estimate, pointed out a piece of rotten wood to be replaced. Discussed approach to job with homeowner, e.g., power washing allowed, not allowed? Discussed which stain and type of stain to use. Estimate was VERY close to two other estimates, but was followed by a 10% discount for Angieslist members, making the price better than my other estimates. Chose this company because of their professionalism and good interactions with them. Work was completed in a timely manner, as discussed. Company contacted me to reschedule due to weather forecast. Work was supervised appropriately. All in all, company aimed to do a good job and to please. Very satisfied.

I chose another company because they would be able to do more work than Potts. I thought they were very polite and nice. They were professional. I would certainly consider them in the future.

They did a good job. The only problem is that they didn't put things back after they painted. Other than that they did a good job.

I liked all of the positive comments they had on Angie's List. I liked that they are easy to deal with by email. They were willing to pick up the type and color of paint that I wanted. They did the work quickly and neatly.

Company was prompt in the initial contact and scheduling the work. Originally scheduled for pressure washing on a Thursday with the paint/trim work for the next day on Friday. They immediately changed the pressure washing schedule to Tuesday. I agreed and made arrangements to be home on both of those days, Tuesday and Friday. The pressure washing went fine, but then they showed up on Thursday to do the painting. I could not get home so they said they would do what they could and would come back the next day to finish up the back side (behind the locked gate to a 6 ft privacy fence) and the front door. The person who contacted me on Thursday when I wasn't home, spoke to me rudely acting like it was my fault for the miscommunication, his tone was very unfriendly. I stayed home on Friday waiting for them to return to finish up the painting to the front door and backside trim. They never showed, but in the daylight I could tell they had already painted the backside trim previously. In order to do this, they would have had to jump over a 6 foot privacy fence, for which I did not authorize them to do because I specifically told them I had animals I needed to be sure were secured before they entered my premises. They finally made arrangements to return a few weeks later to paint the front door. They sanded and painted one coat and left. Unfortunately it was a couple of weeks later before I noticed they had sanded the edge of the door, but didn't paint it. As a consequence with the bare wood and humid weather the door does not close easily and it's almost impossible to lock. In addition when painting the shutters/trim they took no precaution to prevent getting paint on the brick. When I pointed it out to the "foreman" he expected me to go around and point out every mistake they made so they could fix it. It was something that could easily have been prevented in the first place with just a piece of stiff paper or thin board slid behind the shutter while painting.

Potts called me promptly in response to my e-mail inquiry. Potts provided an estimate without my having to be there (another company asked that I be present, which turned out not really to be necessary, but required me to leave work early). Potts provided a detailed estimate in several days (by e-mail), and included recommended upgrades, such as better quality paint, and set forth the prices for the upgrades. The day of the job, they arrived with a large crew. The foreman was professional, courteous, and responsive. We walked the house and discussed potential problem issues. The painters worked non-stop and completed the entire job in one day. Only one piece of wood had to be replaced, and that was done quickly and properly, for a reasonable charge. I toured the house at the end of the job with the foreman; I noticed one board that had not been painted, and that was quickly corrected. They unfastened the downspouts so that they could paint behind them, then re-fastened them, and they pulled the old caulk from the windows and applied new caulk. They draped the bushes to keep the paint off. They did a pretty good job cleaning up the scraped paint. I still find a little scraped paint on the ground now and then, but I don't think it would have been possible to get it all. The job was done promptly, professionally, and completely in one day for the price quoted. There were no surprises. They provided me with a discount that I received because I found them on Angie's List. I recommend Potts and would use them again.

My experience with them was very good. They did a good job. The price was good. The service was good. They were neat and clean. I have no complaints. I would use them again.

A crew of five or six arrived promptly at stated time and worked tirelessly and efficiently in tempertures that reached into the 90s in the afternoon (thankfully, the humidity was low and large trees provided some shade). The carpenter did excellent work in replacing sections of siding, fascia, and soffit boards. The painters, too, did beautiful work. Benjamin Moore paint was used with no extra charge. Also, a few additional boards not specfied in the estimate were replaced, and the alumium-clad fascia were given a second coat--without an extra charge. As a customer, I felt that the Potts brothers who run the company treated me like a member of their family! They swiftly attended to problems that arose, for example, finding sturdy metal vents for the soffits instead of plastic ones from the major home improvement centers. Their dedication to customer satisfaction and commitment to do a fine job made the whole experience quite pleasant for me. Their price, which included a 10% discount, was the best offer out of four bids. They guaranteed the work for two years. The job took two days.

Found this company through Angie's List and was very pleased with the work. Estimate was easy to get and the company was responsive. Work was scheduled and done properly the first time. I had some brick work done earlier that month which needed to cure before being painted; Potts Brothers painted the rest of the house and made a separate trip out to paint that area later. They also touched up a retaining wall below grade at that time where the paint didn't adhere well due to moisture in the soil I believe? It's sticking fine now. The only slight issue I had with this company was that when they were power washing the house, some debris landed on my neighbor's porch. She wanted them to sweep up the debris but the workers didn't quite understand (I don't think they spoke English) and they began power washing her porch removing some of her paint in the process. It all worked out fine in the end and she ended up repainting her deck anyway (I offered to pay for it or have Potts Brothers paint it for her.) This problem could have easily been avoided if one of the workers nearby spoke English. Potts Brothers appears to use a lot of non-English speaking painters which I have absolutely no problem with providing that at least one person on staff speaks English to deal with these kind of issues. Overall, a great job however.

They did an excellent job! The railings look brand new and the areas they replaced and painted in the back look like the original wood. I thought the price I paid was very reasonable for the quality of the work that was performed.
