Overall, they did a great job, and we are very pleased with the final product. The crew was extremely clean and professional. The paint job was precise, no mess and straight lines. Even if I had the time, there is no way I would have been able to come close to the job they did. The crew took approximately three days to complete their work. The cost of paint was built into the estimate, all my wife and I needed to do was give them the color scheme. We even received a discount for mentioning we heard of them through Angies list!

They were very professional. They showed up when they said they would with prepared literature about the company and what they would do. They asked detailed questions as they were evaluating the job to be done. They followed up immediately with a quote and gave a very fair price. Once we selected them, they set a date and arrived on site, on time with a very large crew. They finished the entire job in one long day. Others quoted a week to do the work! The house looks wonderful! I would use them again and I highly recommend them.

Potts Brothers were very respondent and punctual. The paint crew was courteous, took pride in their work, and worked steady throughout the process. The house looks as good as it did when we bought it new 23 years ago.

Three workers arrived around 8:30 with one of the owners to review the work items before starting. They did a great job prepping and repairing some old paint cracks in the bedroom before painting, and used a dryer to dry the plaster so they could paint sooner. Around 5, the lead worker asked how late they could stay and said they could finish the bedroom that night if they could stay until around 8:30. They finished the exterior work around 5:30. They were able to finish all the work in one day by staying late. The bedroom quote was higher than another I'd gotten but this company was able to come out sooner than the other company so I went with them anyway. I am very pleased with the finished work both on the interior and exterior, they did a careful, professional and high quality job.

OMG this firm is first rate and also very reasonable financiallly. All workers were responsive, courteous, and took pride in the work. This firm deserves highest rating.

The Potts Brothers (all 4 of them) and their crews were professional, responsive, good-natured, and very polite. They work fast but they do not rush the job. They did an outstanding job and we give them a 5 ***** rating.

They were very friendly and professional from start to finish. The painters did a good job and were good-natured about me and my 3 kids tromping in and out of the house a hundred times while they were trying to paint.

I called them on Saturday morning, and got an on-site free estimate 2 hours later. Their price was competitive with other estimates and they could perform the work starting 2 days later on Monday. They came out Monday morning with a crew of 5 people and got to work. Because of rain they had to come back Tuesday to complete the exterior. They deserve their top rating.

These people are wonderful. Fixed everything I asked them to. Boxed in outlets. Courteous. We are delighted with the result. Have asked them back to paint front hall. Worked in house while we were at work.

Experience was good. Al Potts was very nice, professional and helpful. I felt like I was talking with an expert and not someone trying to sell to me. He was informative and accomodating to my schedule. I always get 3 quotes for a project and he by far was the best. Not the lowest price, but gave me the most comfort that my project would be done with professionalism, workmanship and quality. I would recommend you contact Al for all coordinating as their email is shared at their office so its easy for confusion to come up when scheduling etc. They were all very pleasant and easy to work with. The job was done in 1 day.

Exceptional. Potts Brothers is the best contractor I've ever used in Fairfax, VA. They were honest, committed, reliable, speedy and quality of workmanship was superb. They offered genuinely honest and caring approach to services. Very personalized. They met me at the store to select products, provided advice and counsel on design....they felt like family. I totally and completely recommend them!!! Extremely trustworthy.

Excellent. Original estimate was two and a half days but they were done in one. Looks fantastic. Only complaint is that although they put up plastic sheeting, they left a coating of dust over everything in the entire top two floors - counters, floors/rugs, furniture, clothes.

They were very prompt when they came for both the estimate and the job. They were also very fast, completing the job in one day instead of two.

They were good and we have had them out multiple times. They used a couple of sub-contractors and they were fine too. They also did some of the work themselves and everything came out well. The price was reasonable for the work that they did. I got a couple of bids and they were in the middle. They were not the lowest, but, they were not the highest too. But, I have used them before and they have done good work for me, so, I gave them this project too. I like them and would definitely use them again.

Great work; arrive on time, and their original estimate was not exceeded. A family run company that is very good at what they do.

They did the work in record time. They had a battalion of the most pleasant happy painters that I have ever seen in my life. The prices were good and the representatives were pleasant. I was very pleased with them. The paint job had been able to stand up.

I needed to touch up the trim on my townhouse. The workers were prompt, courteous, and efficient. The total cost matched the estimate, and where there was a missed communication between two supervisors over what was included, the extra work that had been done was not charged for without me having to ask.

The variety of work that had to be done required someone with experience in different areas of expertise. Fortunately, Potts Brothers had the right person, Jose. Jose and his two assistants set to work on schedule and completed all the tasks in about seven hours. The workmanship was excellent.

They came with a crew of 8 guys the day after they power washed, and they did the whole job in 1 day. They were very responsive. One of the owners was on the job all day. They were here when they said they would.

They came out and did an estimate, they showed up on time and walked the entire house with me pointing out problem areas. Once I accepted the proposal over email we schedule a time for the team to begin. They got caught in traffic and were a little late the first day but they called to let me know. They showed up early the next day to finish the job. The entire team was very professional, they used drop cloths to protect my side walks and grass and left the job site cleaner than when they started. One of the Potts brothers came by on both days to check on the team and ensure I was happy with the work. Top knotch outfit. I was even able to use a coupon from Angies list web site.

We did get a couple of estimates, but their quote was significantly lower than that of the other company. They were a crew of six and they came when they said they were going to come. They were pleasant and all that. The job that they did was adequate but not great. They tried to scrape some of the oil based paint that was on the walls and smooth some of it, but there were certain places where it looked as though they hadn't tried at all. They said they would do their best to smooth but it wouldn't be perfectly smooth. Some of the crew was better at their job than the others with the result that some parts of the house were smoother than the other parts. When they took off the screens to do the windows, some of guys took the screens off the right way while the others broke the loops that hold the screens on to the windows on a few of the screens. They didn't even tell us that they had broken the hooks and we didn't contact them about that because it was something that we could fix. They were not professional as a company because the man that came the first day in the morning and walked the job with us never came back at all.

They were fast in coming to give an estimate but did not arrive as promised on the day the work was to be performed. They claimed equipment issues, and on the day that they did have equipment working, they were still late in arriving -- supposed to arrive in the morning but did not show up until mid-afternoon, nearly 6 hours later. They were to power wash the exterior soffits on our house, but it looked like they didn't do any washing on those at all -- spider webs and old leaf fragments remained, which are easily washed away with a power washer. I wrote a note to them about this, and they did come back and wash the soffits.

I chose this company after reading the comments on Angies List. It was the first time I had used the list and it was a great experience. My house was a challenge to get clean and repair the areas of missing stucco. The powerwashing crew was great and the results magical. Mr. Potts consulted the experts at Sherman Williams and they decided on some special products that would maintain the integrity of the stucco finish. It was painted white, the repaired areas are barely noticeable and the house looks awesome. I would definitely hire them again. The staff is very knowledgeable and professional. The whole experience exceeded my expectations.

Very well- Employees were professional and worked deligently. They painted the entire exterior of the house. The company even came back after the winter to finish a part of the job that couldn't be completed due to weather.

We were impressed the most with the speed with which the job was completed. However, there were messy spots including dripping white paint on the neighbor's freshly painted (dark) brick in the front of the house, and places where the edges were sloppy. The basement exterior was painted the wrong color (no one clarified which color to use and we assumed they would use the same paint used on other brick portions of the house) We were, as others have noted, disappointed in the lack of follow-up from the company. Felt very impersonal. If you want fast this is the company to go with. If you want careful and tidy, go elsewhere.
