Overall this is the best company I've used for painting out of four. The price quoted included patching interior walls, replacing rotten exterior wood and the cost of the paint. Other vendor quotes had the paint and ad-hoc repairs as additional costs which isn't a good idea from a homeowner's perspective. We selected the type of paint and color, all we had to do was send over the sample from the paint store and that was it. Very convenient. We had to add on some additional work prior to Potts Bros. starting the job. I sent them the dimension and description of what needed to be done and received an update quote quickly. The job started on time and finished on time. The painters ended up painting an additional room by accident. They painted the correct room without any pushback, no blame, no fuss, they just got the job done. These guys did the best job cutting in around the trim and ceilings. They even painted the caulking around the vanity to match the walls so it appeared seamless. Sure they dropped a spot of paint in a few places but nothing of consequence. I have to give them a hand for doing an outstanding job all around - Thanks guys! Also requested they leave the leftover interior paint so I can touchup from time to time which they did. They even left me half a gallon of exterior paint as well. Communicating with Potts Bros. is simple, they responded within a business day or less to all my email. I highly recommend using Potts. They weren't the lowest or the highest bid received but we felt they represented the best value. I'm glad to say we were correct. When you want a quality paint job at a reasonable price call this company.

Great experience overall. Got 2 estimates and Potts Bros. came in $400 less. Punctual and easy to discuss paint types (I went with low VOC) and recommendations. They picked up on ceiling issues and explained how they would fix. It wasn't an urgent situation or necessary, just a recommendation - no pressure. Scheduling was easy (but a few weeks out) and last minute changes (decided not to paint entry and dining room) were easily accommodated with a new estimate - no questions asked. Day of job Nolan showed up with 6 painters and they immediately went to work. Nolan had to run out and get ceiling paint (as I forgot to add into paint color requests ahead of time). Painters covered all floor surfaces and addressed other concerns immediately. They completed the job in 1 day and cleaned up everything. They were also the happiest painters I've ever met - they talked and laughed amongst themselves all day - a happy work crew! Highly recommend Potts Bros. and I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.

Two weeks prior this job this company did another project at my Mother's house and they were wonderful. Needless to say they did a great job here as well. We had a lot to rotten wood that was replaced and all the exterior wood trim had to be painted as well. Everything was cleaned and left in perfect order.

Potts Brothers did an excellent job. They proposed a fair bid, completed all bid work on time, and their workmanship was excellent. They matched paints well, and did a very good job of retaping / floating drywall surfaces. The garage also looked great: the garage drywall was properly repaired and repainted, and the anti-skid concrete paint was a nice "safety addition" for my elderly mother-in-law. There were also a few "add-ons" that we added to the scope of the original bid, and all of these were fairly priced and professionally done. My wife and I couldn't be happier, and my mother-in-law is very pleased. (Which is always a very nice thing for a son-in-law ...) I should also note that we have contracted with Potts Brothers in the past for work on our own residence, and all of this work has been done to our complete satisfaction. (Bathroom remodeling and other extensive interior and exterior work.) I can recommend these folks without hesitation -- they have always come through for us.

Their quote was very very close and they were competitive. They were in the running against the All American Painting Plus Inc. and in the end I chose on the basis of few things and decided to go with All American Painting Plus Inc. because they went over with me, they were a lot more hands on, they were a lot clearer about the work that would be done and the itemization of the work. My overall experience with Potts Brothers LLC was okay, they might be doing a good job but other places do better. I might use their service in the future.

From the initial estimate and project proposal, throughout the actual work, and during finalizing our project, Potts Brothers were rock solid. Their office staff, work crew, and managers were always professional, on point, on time, and on budget. They performed high quality work using high quality products. It is important to note that our house has three stories and steep pitched roof sections.

They answered all my questions promptly, showed up on time. Overall the job went smoothly, there are just a few minor things that point to attention to detail. First, an electrical outlet/light switch cover in the bathroom was put back crooked & the paint is a mess around it. Second, at the top of my stairs there is an area totally missing paint, where you can actually see the paneling underneath. Finally, I specifically asked them to be sure to paint all the way down to the carpeting on our steps because the carpet will be replaced & that was left undone so there are areas with no paint, again- you can still see paneling. There is also one area in the basement family room with 3-4 "drips" of paint on the wall. Didn't totally clean up after themselves & left some equipment behind. The estimate was in the middle as far as price compared to other estimates.

A large crew of 7 men worked on the house preparing it for paint. This allowed the process to move quickly and efficiently. This is our third time painting our house and it went the smoothest and fastest (one week as opposed to the last job of one month). There were a few hiccups along the way, but Bob Potts made good to correct everything and even added a few extras that weren't on the contract, such as painting the lower lattice on our deck and covering old paint on our chimney. We were so pleased that we will be working with Potts Brothers on more jobs in the future, such as painting our living room and renovating a bathroom. We highly recommend them!

The painting on both the deck and the screened porch were finished within a couple of days. Everything looked great. After a few days I moved a chair on the screened porch and the paint scraped off everywhere I put the chair. I immediately called Potts Brothers about it and Bob Potts came out to evaluate it and honestly said he didn't know what happened, but they would fix it right away. Within a couple of days he had a team out there again and they repainted the screened porch and I haven't had any trouble since then. Its an older screened porch and the area was very dry, so its hard to say what exactly happened - because the paint really looked fabulous. I was really impressed that when I encountered a problem that Bob came out to inspect and called me to say he'd absolutely make it right - and he did. Then a few days later I heard from someone in the office confirming that it was completed to my satisfaction and to make sure it was done right. Overall I'm very pleased with the power washing and the painting - and absolutely impressed with the customer service and focus on making it right. The whole job looks great and I'd hire them again. The master bedroom also looks really good. They came in and confirmed the color for the wall and ceiling; they worked quickly and finished the room in one day. Definitely I'd hire them again.

The crew was on time, thorough, totally skilled and professional. The work was completed on time and at the estimated cost. Potts Brothers LLC crew was fabulous!

The results were fabulous. I wish I could attach photos. We didn't have the pleasure of working with Alvin, but working with Robert was always easy going and pleasant. He was always available throughout the project, addressed the details we raised and made several trips out just to do in-progress walk-throughs with us. We are glad we hired the Potts Brothers and thankful to AngliesList for acquainting us!

On-time for everything, on-the-money estimate, quality work, at a reasonable price. This is the second time I've used Potts Brothers LLC, and I would certainly use them again.

Excellent job. Workmen were courteous and began on time. They were very neat. Completely covered all surfaces to protect my furniture from the dust associated with the dry wall repair and subsequent painting. My ceiling is perfect. I look forward to working with Potts Bros. again.

From the original interaction setting up the estimate, to the sending of the invoice, everything was perfect. There was an onsite foreman and he and Bob Potts himself interacted with us with any questions. The men working were also kind and approachable. I wasn't home all the time but I think Bob came by everyday. I really felt in good hands. Would hire them again in a heartbeat, and I plan to!

Very pleased. Great communication. Delivered everything as promised and exceeded expectations. The office called in advance to remind of the appointment. The team arrived when promised and was large enough to complete each of the 2 jobs in a single day and with limited distruption to me. The team covered other surfaces thoroughly and completly cleaned the area when done. I highly reccomend this company. Very good experience.

I appreciated the positive reviews that they have. Everyone said lowest bid too so that attracted me. My impressions turned out to be completely wrong! They quoted me $6,880. Seemed a little high but it has been a long time since I got any work like this done. So I got some other quotes to confirm the amount. I got FOUR other quotes and they were ALL withing the range of $4,100 at the lowest to $4,900 at the highest. I was shocked. And most of the other quotes I got were for Ben Moore Aurora paint which is like 60-70 dollars a gallon and Potts quoted for Regal which is like 40 a gallon! All of my quotes were from painters on Angie's list with A grade ratings and numerous reviews. If 4 companies in this area can make a profit on it why can't they? And also of note they never even bothered to justify the costs- for example by saying that they would sand every single inch of the place or something which others would not do. I sent them a brief email just to confirm the price. I was thinking maybe he misunderstood me and thought I wanted 10 coats. Or maybe he misunderstood me and thought I wanted the doors and windows replaced. Robert Potts replied and he agreed it seemed high and he said he would talk to Al about it and email me the next day. Surprise Surprise, he NEVER emailed or contacted me back. He did not even have the courtesy to say- sorry we stand by the price OR sorry we did make a mistake. Poor communication skills is not a desired trait for home contractors. Disorganization is not a desired trait for home contractors. They clearly do good work based on their reviews but if you ever have a problem with them and trust me everyone has a bad or off day and makes mistakes- you will never get your problem with these guys cleared up. They lack the basic skills required to follow up with a customer and do what they stated that they would do. Very unprofessional. Advise to stay away. Are they disorganized and hit a wrong button on the calculator? Are they not able to do extensive drywall repair so they need to bring in someone that can? I will never know due to their lack of action. For the record I did tell them when I made the appointment that I needed over 50 holes patched up so they should have known in advance what I wanted and they could have declined to come out if it was appropriate for their skills and experience. Get another painter, there are other companies on here with more and better reviews. I found another contractor that gave a better more detailed quote and I'm positive that I will not regret my choice. I'm just glad they behaved this way before I ever gave them a check. In response to their reply- I am upset because they never replied to me. Robert Potts specifically stated in an email that he would talk to Al about the estimate and he further stated that he would email me the next day. I have his email I can forward it to anyone that wants it, in the email he says I will let you know tomorrow. He further stated that the price did seem high. HE NEVER EMAILED ME BACK. All he had to do was reply and say sorry we stand by the estimate OR we made a mistake. He said he would email me back and let me know and he never did- very unprofessional. Anyone who says they will do something and fails to do is not trustworthy. By the way I NEVER asked them to lower the price, I just asked if there was a mistake in communication or something. I mean their price was $6,880 and I got 4 other Angie's list A grade quotes there ALL $4,100 to $4,900. My concern was that perhaps they thought I wanted them to replace all the doors in here or something- during the quote I told them that my handyman was going to do that. I would have a lot of respect for them if they had just done what they said they would do- Robert Potts told me he would talk to Al to clarify the quote and he told me he would email me the next day about it. And surprise, surprise- he NEVER did. Clearly they made a mistake here and they were afraid to admit it and they just attempted to sweep it under the rug. I'm sorry that the Potts Brothers just do not get it. They are indeed representing their company when they do a quote and they seem to feel otherwise. If he had replied to the email and said sorry we stand by the 7k price then I would have much more respect for them.

Potts Bros is pleasant to work with and very responsive from initial estimate to final completion. Anything I asked them to look at they were happy to address (like touching up grout). Jose was the lead on this job with Bob Potts supervising. Jose is really talented and easy to work with, and he did a fantastic job with the tile. He thought things through and brought issues and areas for decision to my attention. He gave me choices on things like the placement of the light over the shower, and the placement of the niches in the shower walls. He communicated excellently, and he takes pride in providing a result that is aesthetically pleasing and symmetrical. He thought about things I hadn't thought about, and he takes a consultative approach that I greatly appreciated. He also advised me to replace the toilet when I hadn't originally planned to, and that turned out to be a smart choice -- I appreciated his counsel, and he picked up a toilet for me and I just paid extra for it since it wasn't in the original scope. He also suggested I put the towel bar behind the door, and I was skeptical, but he was right to suggest it, and I am glad I listened! I had a firm deadline to be finished by a certain date, and they just about met that date -- the only hiccup was a delay on the shower doors (not their fault as that was subbed to a glass company and they were backordered). By my deadline date we had a finished sink and toilet. The shower doors weren't there yet, but that wasn't a huge issue -- the other other two were more critical, and the shower doors came soon afterwards. I sent some final pictures to my sales rep/designer at the tile store (Architectural Ceramics), and he thought it was such a good installation with thoughtful placement and cuts that he wants to recommend Potts to other customers. That was a nice confirmation on the quality of Jose's work. I will certainly call them in the future.

Workmen showed up on time on the day scheduled at my convenience. They were very polite. I walked around the house with the project manager and foreman and we went through the areas that needed to be painted. They got to work quickly and used tarps on affected areas and were very neat. They scraped, sanded, cleaned and caulked as stated in contract. I was very satisfied with the workmanship. I would use Potts Brothers again and recommend them to anyone.

Mr. Potts was very pleasant and made three trips out to our home just to give an estimate. That was very nice of him. He came by himself the first time, brought his sister to take a look at the kitchen the second time and then, his crewmember Jose, the third time. He was always available via email/cell and someone always answered his office number. He was extremely patient. The only reason we ended up not chosing him was due to pricing and the fact that the other company was more organized in the way they provided the kitchen design layout as well as the way the estimate was written. That is my only complaint, really. Gets an "A" for everything except lack of organization. It seems like a wonderful family business and Mr. Potts is dedicated to his job. I am sure that he would have been on the job site daily. We just decided for various little reasons to go with an alternate contractor. Wishing him and his crew the best of luck!

Potts Bro did excellent job at a lower price than other contractors. Crew was very professional. Bob Potts made recommendations on type of paint that improved look and finish.

Very well. Power washer came few days before. Was on time and communicated very well. Painters came, job was prepped and done very professionally. This is our 3rd time working with Potts brothers and would hire them again. Very satisfied. Office communicates very professionally and by email as well. Very responsive.

I had a great experience - from the initial estimate, to the day of painting all went well. I am very pleased with the results, the crew did a great job - all my questions were answered, the painters were very professional. I am so glad I outsourced this work instead of doing it myself - saving my time and sanity and coming away with a professional looking job in my new house was well worth the costs.

Super responsive from the go. Easy to schedule the appointment. Every single interaction was pleasant, and everyone was always prompt. Any questions / concerns we had along the way were promptly addressed and always resolved to our complete satisfaction. We'll use Potts Brothers for every single paint job we need from now on - this was the single best experience we've ever had with a contractor of any type. All of our neighbors have asked who did the work b/c (1) it looks fantastic, (2) the crew did a great job of minimizing disruption, and (3) the crew did a great job with cleanup at the end of every day they were on site.
