Started on time, finished early and all work was superb!

We had a very good experience with Potts Brothers, and I definitely will use them again for future painting projects. The quality of their work seems to be excellent and their professionalism was greatly appreciated. The details: Mr. Potts arrived exactly on time and provided a solid, written estimate via email later that day. The actual powerwashing occurred about two weeks after the estimate was accepted and the painting occurred about a week after that. Both the powerwashing and painting crews were friendly, professional, arrived on time and were careful not to disturbe things around the exterior of the house. They did a good job cleaning-up after themselves too. The painting crew even did a few "extras" like replacing missing screws in downspout hangers. Potts Brothers sent a "touch-up crew" after I notified them of a little bit of missed caulking. They did not hesitate to honor my request for the touch-up, and they did the fix within a week or so. I'm very pleased with the final product and the service I received. I should also mention that the office staff was very friendly, helpful and thorough in the information they provided.

It went very well. They were in and out in one day! The job was done beautifully.

We had used Potts Brothers for a previous painting job. As we were very happy with their work we asked them for an estimate for the new job. The estimator arrived on time, was easy to work with, listened well, and made some excellent suggestions on the job. Potts Brothers sent us a written estimate that was easy to understand, and broken down in a way that let us understand how much each part of the job cost. We decided to have them do the work, arranged a day and made a reasonable down payment (1/3). The work crew and foreman arrived on the appointed day at the agreed time. The foreman (forewoman, actually) carefully went over the work with me and the head of the crew and we made a few detailed decisions on the spot. I left them to work, knowing that my schedule would not let me return to inspect the work before they left the job. When I did arrive home that evening I was very pleased with the job - the work was done exactly as we discussed and they left the work sites around the house clean. Easy to work with, did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it, excellent quality, for a reasonable price. Can't do much better than that in my book!

Great. We had an extremely precise time schedule between the departure of our tenant and the arrival of our own furniture in the house. We planned with them about a month and a half ahead of time, and they were able to meet this schedule exactly. The supervisor arrived on time the first day, and we walked through the house with him. Preparation of the walls (patching, etc) was extremely thorough, best we have seen. Painting was done extremely well. Cleanup was pretty good, although there was some extra paint dust on some horizontal surfaces (not enough to call them back to fix, we did it ourselves). I did not comparison shop, so I don't have much to say about the price. It seemed fair, and in line with other times we have had the house painted over the years, accounting for inflation. Work was extremely well done, and we would definitely recommend them.

They were very profession, personal, and prompt. The price was competitive but not the best. I didn't use them because of availability. I would have used them if they were a bit more available.

I had a scheduled date for the painters to arrive - and they were actually able to move the date up for me which was great. The arrived on time, one of the Pott's brothers came to supervise the beginning of the prep work as well as confirm exactly what I wanted done again. The crew was very polite, moved furniture to the center of the room so they could begin and had a methodical approach to getting the work done. They did a lot of prep work including caulking and sanding. Once the painting started, they made every effort to protect the wood floors and covered all furniture they put in the center of the room. The quality of their work was excellent. When they were done, they left the area clean and helped move the furniture back to its original position.

In every case personnel arrived on schedule and accomplished the work on schedule with excellent workmanship and clean up.

If you are having just painting of walls done, Potts Bros. is great. They did a fantastic job with the painting. They were less fantastic at understanding what we wanted beyond the wall painting, and there were some difficulties with the management side. The first difficulty was our fault - I forgot to call in my credit card number for the deposit when scheduling the work. Potts Bros. scheduled the work anyway and did not remind me that I hadn't paid a deposit. I think most customers would be fine with a polite email or phone call to say "Hey, we didn't receive your deposit." That would be preferable to the passive-aggressive treatment we did receive during and after the job. The second difficulty was that they called two days ahead of the scheduled date and wanted to come over that day. We had not yet purchased the wood trim for the job, so I had to leave work unscheduled, rush to Home Depot, and try to communicate with the workers during the day. They also tried to complete our two-day job in one day. Because they were clearly slammed with work, they rescheduled and tried to rush our job, which meant they just flat didn't do one of the line items on the contract. They also half-did another item, painting only the front of the bifold doors and not even the edges that you see when they are open. I told the worker that was OK because I thought they'd be back to finish the rest of the work the next day and could do the other sides of the doors, but apparently not - I had to call them to come back and finish the tasks listed on the contract. For that they sent one person, who did a fine job, but still. However, the final quality of the painting work was top notch, and they did a much better job than we expected with painting some damaged walls.

The project went very well and was completed ahead of schedule. It was a small job, and they were able to fit it in sooner than expected. No complaints about the quality. The crew was extra helpful by bringing a couple of soffit vents to replace ones that had fallen out. The paint looks great. The extra 10% discount for Angie's List members helped, too. I guess I didn't realize how expensive exterior painting had become over past 10 years, because the job seemed to be expensive for what we got. But Potts price came in right in line with other quotes.

The crew of 5 arrived around 10am. Roberto, the crew leader explained what was going to be done. They asked for me to unlock the windows so that they could paint the inside of the sills. The crew was respectful or my property and took care in the work they were doing. Some of the windows I could not open, so they assisted and got them open for me. They removed so much wood I wondered if I had any left on my house. They did not cut corners or rush through the job. A team of 5 made this 2 day job get completed in 1 day. They cut the wood pieces and did the work required to restore the exterior.At the end of the job, I had leave to go pick up my dog from daycare before they closed. I left them to finish the clean up. When I returned home, the exterior was spotless and all debris removed. It looks like a newly built home.In addition, when I went to pay the balance for the job it was about $300 less because of they honored their 10% Angie's List discount. I could not have asked for anything else. Great job Pott's Brother's.

Wonderful!So easy to talk to on the phone-Extremely professional while still being very niceall the workers were great from the power washers through the painters-they were here on the hotest week of the summer and never complained.all the supervisors we dealt with were great!had a small problem with dripped paint - they came right out and fixed it-AND their estimate was 70% (no kidding!) less then one competitor and 20-30% less than all others.Potts Brothers are the best and we will use them for all our painting needs!

Their services were several thousand dollars below the other estimates. Their work was excellent; prompt and on time every day. They came back for a morning to follow up on some touch ups and missed spots, and left a gallon of paint for my future use. Can't say enough good things about them.

Potts Brothers, LLC was fast, courteous, timely and extremely helpful. We asked for a quote and they provided a detailed estimate the next day while their person was in the area. Darlene was extremely helpful the entire time. She even went to Lowe's to match the paints. The team made the most efficient use of their time while Darlene got the paint. Everyting was completed in just a few hours and it looked great. Our house has uniform colors and a fresh new look thanks to Potts Brothers.

The service was outstanding. They came to my house within 24 hours of my placing a call for an estimate. The personnel were very professional and the services were provided to meet my schedule, which required some weekend work. I would definitely call on these professionals again!

We are very happy with the work by the Potts Bros. We played telephone tag to explain the work we wanted done and set up a time to do the estimate at first. Luckily, the Potts bros. folks were persistent and we figured out email was a better way to communicate and coordinate. One of the Potts brothers came out to do the estimate and walked through where the replaced wood pieces were and other basis for his estimate. Their estimate was less than others we had received and we appreciated the professionalism and personal service, so we decided to go with Potts Bros. We worked out two different days to do the siding power washing and then wood trim and painting work. The teams showed up on time and did the work in a few days. The Potts Bros. were able to accommodate our work schedules and minimized the amount of time we needed to be at home for the work. Before they completed their work and handed us the final bill, one of the Potts brothers inspected the work and ensured the team had finished some final details. The quality of the work is excellent and several of our neighbors have commented on the results.

Customer service was very good from initial contact to final payment. The office called to check in while the work was being done (3 days total). The first day started very late (11a), because the crew didn't account for traffic. The estimate was done from ground level (partly my fault, since I wasn't home), so most of the rotten wood was not discovered until the crew started work. This resulted in the total price going up by ~50%. Potts Bros original estimate was very much in line with the other estimates I received, but I have no idea how their prices might have changed once the job started.

They did an excellent job. Sent a large crew who made quick work of the project.

Representative of the company came and gave a cost estimate. He was one of three estimates. All three were similarly priced. The Potts Brothers were very professional and could timely start the job. Work was completed in one day, from prep to clean-up. Job was very well done and we will hire them again for future painting needs.

Scheduling was a problem. The office booked me certain dates. Later I was told I was not on the schedule. They did manage to get me back onto the dates scheduled. I was going to have them do portions of the interior and the entire exterior. I had booked two sets of dates to be home for these projects, since I had to plan time off from work in advance. The first date was to be a Thursday and Friday, with Saturday as a fallback date if the work was not completed. The time it would take to do the work was underestimated by the scheduler, and when the work was not completed on Friday, I was told they would not work Saturday. Rather, I was told they would come back another weekday. I thus had to make arrangements for additional time off. The company seemed pretty cavalier during the engagement as to my time constraints. The owner was professional and courteous throughout. He clearly wanted to make his customer happy. However, the crew assigned to my project was not courteous and professional throughout. The crew leader was rude, and it became very uncomfortable having him in my house. I had hired the company to do the exterior painting. I told the owner I would only do that if he sent a different crew. ( For other reasons, I did not go through with the exterior painting.) I thought the actual painting was done very well, including some repair of drywall on two ceilings. The cleaning and painting of the deck was excellent, as was the exterior power wash.

After several email exchanges and telephone calls with the office staff about the work needed and to schedule an in home consultation, I was extremely disappointed when the company representative didn't show up for our appointment. I telephoned the office to find out if the estimator was running late or perhaps lost. My scheduled appointment and follow up phone call were 2 days ago. I still haven't heard back from anyone from Potts Brothers yet.

We got an estimate from another prominent painter in the area - that company would not give a firm estiamte because of possible contingencies. Potts Bros gave us a firm estimate (I didn't even have to be there since it was exterior) and a fantastic price. Scheduling took a bit of time because of the crazy weather, but once things cleared up I got a phone call and had a team of 6 guys working like gang-busters in front of the house. The owner met me in person to answer any questions or address any concerns. What a fantastic job and a fantastic price! They taped off the area to notify passersby of the lead hazard and laid plenty of drop cloths on my bushes and porch to catch the paint chips and any drips. They also carefully covered my exterior lights. I highly recommend Potts Bros. They even have a dedicated secretary for answering phones and scheduling jobs - she's a pleasure to work with. Such a nice change from playing phone tag with contractors.

Potts Brothers really saved our bacon! They were able to move up their work schedule to accomodate our realtor's planned Open House. As a result, the house looked fantastic for pictures and open house. They did the work before we were even able to pay them a deposit. Dawn, the receptionist, very pleasant and friendly.

One of the four Potts Brothers did a thorough inspection of the house and provided a detailed estimate. They followed up to ensure the paint and stain colors were correct. A schedule of the work was also provided and the work was done on time. I am thrilled with the results. The house looks beautiful, the workmanship beyond my expectations. This is a family-owned company. They are very detail-oriented, perfectionists, and proactive; informing me where I had damage I was unaware of which would have caused leakage problems down the road. In short, this is one of the best businesses I have ever contracted to do a large, complex project. They take personal pride in the work performed and their foreman and workmen are courteous, efficient and very hard working. I highly recommend this company. You can trust that they will not only do an excellent job but, as professionals, will treat your home as if it were their own.
