Robert met me at an arranged time to do an estimate. They got back to me within a day with a reasonable, detailed written estimate and possible start dates. A crew showed up on time on the day we decided to start the job. It took a day longer than expected to finish but this is a rental apt. and it was empty so that didn't bother me. The apt. was left clean when they were done.Overall it was a great experience start to finish.

Preparing the house for new tenant. The house looks great inside and out; they are now back doing some detailed work that was not part of the first job. We would definitely use them again! One thing I noticed particularly - if something didn't seem correct, they had the sense to call me. We are long-distance landlords but we've seen the entire interior after they were finished. The house was neat and clean, no paint drips on the window, etc.

They were very responsive when I contracted them for an estimate. They scheduled a time and the crew was there as expected. The work was scheduled for 1 day and completed on time. The crew was professional and did a great job and cleaned all work areas. I would recommend and I will use for future work.

I used a painter this summer that I got from Angie's list but I wasn't very happy with the service. I was angry so I didn't write the review. I have sidings that is made up of concrete, a Hardie siding and its not painted and I was really specific because we have some caulking things that needed to be done. They didn't take the time or initiative to go and find the item that will match my siding and so I ended up having to go and find it and they didn't use a little bit of it and then on my gazebo there was mistake and you know I never had my gazebo painted except when it was built and you have to actually physically take off the screens in order to paint but it wasn't really included in the estimate because they didn't realize that and I didn't know it either. There's this guy arguing to me about my deck and said to me that he wants to do some adjustment or alteration on my deck because it was horribly built. I'm hurt and so I cry and I don't appreciate that. I didn't write a review because I was really upset and still felt upset about it. The guy was really rude and it didn't have any difference when he did and I ended up having to pay somebody to come out and take down my screens, every screen and everything which was another added expense and I wasn't expecting . I'm still upset whenever I talk about it. I guess its a bad experience. It was expensive to me for the work that they did and then the people just acted like they didn't want to do the job.

We wanted a condo unit painted, top to bottom. (The unit was clear of all furniture, rugs, etc.) They came and inspected the unit and gave us a reasonable estimate along with a fairly quick completion date. We accepted and they did the work. This involved cleaning some of the walls that were especially dirty and smoke covered and priming and painting the walls and ceilings of all the rooms and closets. It took them about one and a half days.

My husband was waiting for them. They were a no show. They said they would be 30 minutes late. We said that when we write the review we'll say that the company was late. That's when they threatened my husband and used profanity. They also said they wouldn't work with people who write bad reviews on them and good luck finding a company to work with you.

Woodpeckers had damaged portions of the vents on the ends of our house. We needed to have these holes repaired and those sides of the house painted. We stressed the importance of these holes being properly repaired and put it in our contract. Apparently this information had not been communicated to the painters, because when we returned the evening after the painting, it was all neatly painted right over the woodpecker holes! We called and were scheduled for completion of the repair and painting. Several days later the painters returned and filled in the holes and painted again. They said that on their first visit, they did not have the correct patching material for the size of the holes that we had in our house. Someone should have made sure that they were prepared for the job of patching the holes. Once they were finished, we were very satisfied with the results and would use them again.

Potts was not the least expensive painting company. They did an excellent job, and clean-up was great.

The owners are very courteous and gave us an estimate very quickly. Job was done on time and the house looks great! They even accomodated an add on request we had to paint the kitchen.

Alvin showed up on time for proposal and set date. Had a family emergency and we still kept appointment for painting - they handled everything even with no one there. In and out in two days - couldn't be happier.

Overall the job looks like it was done ok. They were trustworthy. They seemed to be pretty professional and I would probably consider using them again.

Potts was very responsive when I contacted them for an estimate. When we met with one of the owners they were professional and courteous and listened to what we wanted done. The other companies we received estimates from all suggested the standard 3 coats and were respectively more expensive. Potts understood that we were painting the house using the same colors so 1 coat would be sufficient and cost effective. This is the main reason we chose Potts. Unfortunately, our start date was delayed by Hurricane Sandy, but Potts remained in touch and rescheduled appropriately. The work was scheduled for 2 days and completed on time. The crew was courteous and professional and did a fine job on all aspects of the job.

Excellent. They brought a large crew and were finished in one day. Looks great and has weathered well. Staff was polite and efficient.

Potts did an estimate and lowered the price with Angies discount. Also agreed to repair drywall for extra fee. Job said to last 2 days. Potts to provide paint requested by customer. Potts showed up the morning they said. They finished in one day, but had to stay late. Had at least one english speaker on site. Positives: Completed work at agreed upon price, and in one day. Negatives: Did not clean up thoroughly. Left garage with a lot of paint and debris for me to clean up. Still some paint on interior carpet. Used my hose, and left pieces of paint and debris on lawn. Our family spent some time picking out paint and brand we wanted. Emailed selection to Potts. On day of work was very sick and let them talk into different brand. Tried to talk me out of drywall work (which is the reason had painting done in first place). Some of center hall walls are acceptable, but do not appear smooth.

The painters showed up on time and while one person went to get the paint, the others started moving furniture and putting down drop cloths. The work was done in one day and done well. A month later, I found that the access panel to my attic had been painted shut. I called Potts Brothers and they sent someone over the next day to open the panel.

Contacted Potts Brother based on ratings provided by other consumers as being a good buy and professionalism. I was not disappointed Mr. Potts promptly showed up within three days of the initial contact which is very good. We walked around my entire townhouse which is thee (3) levels. There is major drywall repair that had to be done from a major leak and the house also settled. We discussed color, and type of paint and coats of paint. I was received my estimate for the job within two days, well detailed and priced out. I discussed the estimate with the office staff and made some minor changes. They were extremely hopeful and provided good recommendations to consider. We had to postpone the start date due to Hurricane Sandy. They were very good at communication on a timely basis and we rescheduled on mutual date. They promptly showed up at the rescheduled date and we had a walk though of the job and requirements with the painting staff. The painting crew was headed by Guilivolldo and they were great. They quickly divided up the work in repairing the various dry wall repairs that needed to done. They covered and cleaned up with each task. The job took four days to complete and they did an excellent job. The arrived early in the morning about 8AM and would depart about 6:30 PM. I would highly recommend they to anyone. I also contact two other paint contractors from Angie List, they turned out to a bit more expensive than PottS Brothers.

They did a nice job overall. First they came out to powerwash the house and then came out the next week to begin the project. The job took about 4 days to complete. The workers where courteous and professional as was the office staff.

We were able to get an estimate very quickly after we called them. The team arrived on the date promised, and showed us the rotted wood after they removed it so we knew that was the problem that had been causing a leak. They examined the wood around our windows and determined it too needed to be replaced. We discussed the change in the order over the phone with Potts, approved the additional work immediately and the workers were able to leave, acquire the additional supplies and returned and completed all the work on the same day. Cleaned up after themselves and we are very happy to have it done and looking good.

Everything was professional from start to finish. Alvin Potts (one of the owners) arrived as scheduled to give me an estimate. I had already completed all trim repairs and painting on the lower level, so I needed the pros to go up to the second story to do the rest of the trim work. This house was built in the late 1980's, and the paint was still in pretty good shape except for a few places where it was peeling. Several pieces of upper level trim looked like they had some rot and would need to be replaced. The aluminum siding had some mildew on the north side but otherwise wasn't too dirty. Alvin and I walked around the house and I pointed out what I wanted painted, and where they might find problems with the trim. I was impressed that he took his time to look carefully at the job to be done. Based on the painting that I had recently finished, Alvin asked whether I generally had good results with one coat in areas where the paint was solid. (Answer: yes, one coat seemed to work just fine and I was using the same color as the original.) Coming from a pro to a non-pro painter (me), I was pleased that he asked my opinion. FYI, I had used Sherwin Williams Super paint, and for this job we would use Duration, even better quality. I received the estimate in the mail two days later. I thought it was reasonable, and given the time Alvin took to look at the job, I figured he had scoped it out pretty well and there shouldn't be any major surprises. I had gotten an estimate from another contractor (also highly rated on Angie's list), but that estimate was about $400 higher, mainly because he said he would do two coats of paint everywhere, which seemed like overkill to me. Alvin and I were on the same page concerning the extent of work needed. The work occurred about two weeks later. Walter arrived almost near sunset on Thursday afternoon to do the pressure washing. The job took about an hour and I had to wonder whether he could see what he was doing by the time he was finished. Amazingly, everything looked good in broad daylight. Walter even washed the back and front steps, although that job wasn't listed in the contract. The painters and forewoman arrived promptly Friday morning. We reviewed the areas that needed to be painted and where trim needed to be replaced. The crew scraped, sanded, and caulked as needed, and they were careful not to drip paint on the roof and siding. I checked on them from time to time and it looked like they were doing a good job. Eduin (hope I got the name right) usually was my translator for the Hispanic crew. He was a friendly guy and told me to let him know if they had overlooked anything that needed to be done. When they were getting close to finished, he asked me to inspect the work. Using binoculars to get a closeup view, I spotted two areas that were hard to reach where more paint was needed. Although they must have been tired, the guys went right back up there to complete the job to my satisfaction. A day or so later, I noticed a small corner trim piece that probably should have been replaced. I hadn't noticed earlier, but after it was painted all nice and shiny, it obviously wasn't square-edged like it originally was. I debated calling Potts back, but because it was within my reach via a tall ladder, I decided to replace the piece myself. Which I did. Not a big deal, but the painters should have noticed and fixed it when they were up there. Overall, though, I was pleased with the results and the house looks great! Everyone I worked with -- owners, office staff, and outdoor crew -- were very professional and courteous. I will definitely recommend Potts Brothers to neighbors and friends.

We have used Potts before to paint our exterior trim and clean and stain our deck and had a good experience so we went right back to them for this interior painting. When they came to do the estimate, they helped us determine which line of paint we should use. Our experience is that Potts tends to price aggressively. We took advantage of a seasonal discount and thought they estimate was reasonable even before the discount was applied (we appreciated that we got to see the pre discount estimate - companies don't always do that). We planned the job far enough in advance that Potts was able to accommodate the exact dates we needed. Potts sends large crews so they were able to get the job done in 2 days. That's very helpful in minimizing disruption. Roberto and his team did an excellent job. He was very communicative and helped us evaluate options in a couple of problem areas (one repair infringed on a wall that wasn't being painted - when I found some of the paint left over for that wall, he was able to do the repair and touch up the wall). We continue to be very satisfied with Potts Bros. work and would recommend them.

First and foremost, the work that was done was exactly what was expected. All of the walls, ceilings and doors were painted the correct colors, and all of the drywall was repaired in the appropriate places. When I first walked into my condo after the work was completed, I was astounded at how good it looked. All of the little nicks and cracks were gone, and you couldn't tell that almost all of the walls were once a different color. If there was one minor misstep, it was that my circuit panel was painted shut and I had to pop it open which scratched up some of the paint (on the box only); that's not enough to detract from the otherwise excellent job that was done. As an additional note, the folks monitoring incoming e-mails were always very cordial, helpful and accommodating. I would definitely recommend using Potts Brothers, LLC for your painting and drywall repair needs.

Very pleased. I have used Potts Brothers for years for my rental property and my home. They are always responsive and do a good job. Any concerns I have had are handled in a timely manner.

One of the primary reasons, Potts Brothers was hired for both jobs was the level of detail on their estimates. While other companies listed "remove/replace rotted wood - TBD" with an hourly rate plus materials, Potts Brothers did a thorough inspection of both structures and listed sections of wood that needed to be replaced with the actual cost. While doing the repairs, additional pieces were replaced at a "material plus cost" fee, but it was minimal. Thanks to their level of detail, we had a much better understanding of the repairs/cost needed before the work began. The crew was fantastic. They were very thorough with every aspect of the job. I would use them again without hesitation.

From start to finish, I had a positive experience with the Potts' team. Alvin met me when he said he would to give me an estimate and delivered the estimate to me via email and U.S. mail. I had to reschedule the job once, but that was not a problem, and they called to let me know they could start earlier if I didn't mind. The forewoman Darlene was patient and helpful as I sorted through various color options. The seven member crew led by Herman was friendly and cleaned everything up after each day of painting. The total job was complete in two and about three quarters of day and looks terrific.

The exterior painting went well, despite a few instances of spilled paint on the driveway and walkways/porch. Overall I was pleased. The interior painting resulted in paint splatters EVERYWHERE - walls, furniture, counters - even though there were dropcloths placed throughout the house. When I invited a company rep in to see some of the most egregious drips on the walls, she suggested I get some of the wall paint and fix them myself. Hmm. The top edge of my crown moulding throughout the downstairs has ceiling paint slopped all over it. The garage was the kicker - the crew took down my ELFA shelving, painted, then put the shelving back up incorrectly, damaging the shelving (if you know ELFA, you know how hard it is to bend the individual pieces; they managed nicely.) While putting it up incorrectly the crew scratched the newly painted wall. While they did leave me a 5 gallon, unopened container of ceiling paint, they did not leave me any touch up paint for the walls of the garage. They did come back and painted over the damage, took the 5 gallon bucket with them, but still did not leave any of the wall color. Nice people, really disappointing work and follow-up I would not use them again or recommend them.
