The estimate from Potts was by far the best price offered. They came out on time and really took good care of the house. Laid fresh paper from the front door all the way to the rooms being painted. The quality of the paint job was excellent and clean up was perfect. Finished the job on time and quickly. Overall great experience. Will definitely use them again.

The Potts Brothers crew did an excellent job. They did a good job making sure the paint color matched and did a top notch job on the wood repair. The team worked during the hottest week of the year so far and still had a professional and happy attitude and finished everything to our satisfaction. I would definitely use them again and recommend them. They were a little more expensive then other quotes we got, but from our experience with other contractors, you get what you pay for.

We moved into an older house (~50 years) and wanted to epoxy our basement floor because we suspected that the tiles might have asbestos. We contacted Potts Brothers and they came out to epoxy the floor. There was a SNAFU/honest mistake with our job work order. But Potts Brothers were committed to doing the right thing and getting the job done (which they did) going the extra length so to speak to finish the job. Really happy with their professionalism and the job they did. Would use them again.

We could not be more pleased! Roberto and his crew did an outstanding job. They arrived each morning when they said would. They moved furniture and covered everything with care and put it all back with attention to detail when they were done. The patching and painting more than met our expectations. Very professional company, and accommodated all of our needs . We scheduled the service approx 1 month before the job was to start. It was going to follow several other renovations that we planned to do before we moved into a new house. One of the renovations hit a snag and pushed everything back a week. This happened 2 weeks before Potts was begin the job. They moved the date to a time that worked for us. One week before the painters were to start, we learned that we had to run out of town for a family emergency. Again, Potts moved the start date to accommodate our needs and do the work before we moved into our new house. I would recommend this company based on the quality, service, and courtesy they provide to their customers.

The only problem the Did not take electrical or vents covers off and just painted over them. I am in Maryland and I guess most of them are in Virginia and so it's seem like they didn't plan the time factor.

We have used Potts before to have our interior painted. While I wasn't completely thrilled with the work, they did respond and fixed most everything (although they do take short cuts...not removing plates on light switches and electrical outlets, etc..which causes an issue when/if you replace them). So, rather than seeking a new company, we figured we would use them to paint the deck, power wash the house, and caulk and paint the back deck door trim. Lets start with the scheduled day for work. They didn't show up and didn't call. I called several times and left a few messages. Finally someone called back. My husband took the day off of work for this "job". Had someone called first thing in the morning when they KNEW they weren't going to be able to make it, my husband could have saved a day of leave. The guy came the next day to do the power wash. VERY VERY disappointed with the work and with Potts response. When I sent in a picture to show the gutters and trim at the top of my house weren't cleaned, there response was, "it wasn't included in the estimate" and "you can try to spray it with your house". Now, I KNOW I can use my hose..but I didn't pay someone to do something to turn around and use my garden hose. Additionally, why would I only want the brick and the siding sprayed off...it looked fine....when you request an exterior power wash, who knew you had to spell out what precisely on the exterior you want washed....silly me for thinking exterior meant exterior. They have yet to offer to fix it or even attempt to. Now on to the back door. I guess it was assumed I would only look at one side of the door and NOT notice the bottom and the other side had not been caulked and painted. This took three trips but is finally fixed. I don't usually look for discounts; however, they offered nothing for not showing up the day they were scheduled. They made no attempt to fix the power wash incident, and three attempts to fix the door. I will NEVER use Potts again.

The work was flawless. The upstairs was completed the first day. They covered a darker paint in the bedroom and it looks great. The bath is perfect. The garage took them into a second day because they could not get the ceiling done to their standards so they reworked it, scraping, patching, and sealing until it took the paint the way they believed it should. Similarly, there was an area in the kitchen that wouldn't come out right, so it was redone until it was perfect. We were delighted at their professional and thorough approach and insistence on doing the job well rather than quickly. From the owners to the office staff to the painters, all are friendly, responsive, and a delight to work with.

They came the date given and finished the job in a timely manor. The crew was great and easy to work with and very helpful with questions I had. The job looks great and the price was right. I have had other people who gave me estimates and I felt they were just to high and out there. I would hire Potts Brothers again. I like quality work and fair prices.

I contacted Potts Brothers because of the many positive reviews here, unfortunately my experience was quite different. I setup an appointment via telephone for an estimate. I just purchased the condo and wanted to get it painted before I moved in, therefore I do not live in the unit. We setup a specific date and time for the estimate. Upon my arrival, I was very disappointed to find a note on my door from Mr. Jesse Potts saying he had "stopped by" 30 minutes before our scheduled appointment. Since I wasn't there, he left. I currently live over 25 miles away so I was very upset to find this note. Not only did Mr. Potts "stop by" at the incorrect time, he didn't even try to reach me via cell phone when he was there. I quickly called him to find out why he had arrived 30 minutes early and he apologized and blamed it on the person in the office who has health issues. I don't know if this was true or not, but any professional company shouldn't have someone with health issues making appointments if they can't get them straight. Mr. Potts never offered to return to meet me. Instead he told me he could give me a "pretty accurate estimate" over the telephone (why did I bother going out there then!?!). I went along and explained what I needed because I wanted, if nothing else, to have their pricing to compare to the other quotes that I was receiving. Sadly, I only got the quote several days later after contacting the company because, not surprising, they did not write my email address down correctly!! I would not trust them to paint my home if they can't keep appointments and write down a simple email address down properly. Their painting may be superior, but their overall customer service skills are terrible and quite unprofessional.

Painting was scheduled twice. Initial job was within 2 days of finalizing contract price. There was some additional aluminum trim I subsequently asked to have have painted. Robert was very prompt in responding and completed this additional work within a couple weeks. Since it was a small job it was just scheduled around other work they had. The work looks nice, the painter was professional and cleaned everything up afterward. We'd use Potts Brothers again.

This is the second time I've used Potts Brothers for pressure washing (have used them for painting as well) and the same man came out to do the work, which in my mind indicates that they treat their employees well if they are able to retain them year after year - a plus in my mind. The gentleman who came out to pressure wash did an excellent job - very thorough, very meticulous. We have a relatively large patio surrounding our pool so it is a pretty tedious job but he kept at it and didn't miss any areas. He was very pleasant to work with, more than willing to talk with me about the options on completing this job. I had originally asked him not to use chemicals so that my plants wouldn't get hurt but he showed me the stuff he has used in the past and explained that he hadn't had any issues with it. I agreed and he was right - no problems with my plants. It wasn't so much the chemicals but more the fact that the man was willing to talk with me about my concerns, listen to me and his responsiveness. Potts Brothers has always given me excellent customers service and their work is extremely good as well. I will definitely use them in the future for all my painting and pressure washing needs.

Got off to a bit of a rough start with a scheduling conflict but Bob Potts was very courteous and apologetic about the scheduling mistake and ensured us the next day the crew would be there on-time and the work would get all the work accomplished as planed. We were very pleased with the entire crew. They were very professional and I don't think they took a break once. They were here all day and accomplished all the painting with two coats of paint. They thoroughly cleaned up after themselves and were very polite. I would highly recommend Potts Bros Painting if you want a professional company with courteous employees that get the work done fast and professionally.

An interior paint job can be almost as disruptive (or worse)than a move. Not in this case, which was as pleasant an experience as we could have hoped for, thanks to the quality of the supervisor and the 4 painters who did the job. Their work was uniformly excellent, they kept us informed of their progress and plans, and made a very thorough clean-up at the end of each of the 3 days it took them to finish. We are very pleased with the results, and would recommend Potts Brothers for painting and dry-wall work without reservation.

We used them for years. They're great. All good. I would definitely use them again in the future.

Overall they did a very good job. Mr. Potts came out to give me the estimate, told me what the processs would be and sent the estimate by email. Price was competitive with 2 of the other estimates I got and much lower than a third. The painters did an excellent job applying the paint. Although they were very careful to clean up there were a few minor spatters of paint they missed. My husband and I did have to do a very small bit of wiping up. There was a crew of 4 men and they worked about 8 hours both days. This involved the entire first floor of my house. I expected a huge disruption but it was really just the day before , the two days and painting and about two days after to get everything back where it belonged. I would use them again.

This is the second time we've used this company and they did a great job again. My husband was doing something in the attic a few years ago and his foot accidentally went through the drywall ceiling of my son's room. We tried to fix it, but our efforts only made the ceiling worse. The team from Potts Brothers came in and took out the messed up drywall and fixed it all up. They also painted over the dark green walls with navy blue dinosaurs on it. The new paint is much lighter and there is zero evidence of previous dinosaurs. The team did a fantastic job. They will be coming back later in the spring to pressure washed the house, deck and patio. They did this for us last year and did an excellent job.

Potts came to bid on our interior and exterior painting. Prompt response by phone. On time to the appointment, called to confirm. Excellent detailed quote broken out as we had asked. We ended up going with another bid, but would definitely use them to do work.

Work was not done well. The rake boards were not flush with the house and protruded out and the wood replacements on the window sills left a big separation with scrape marks. I took pictures and contacted the company. They did send someone out to repair these items. I specifically told them the paint that my HOA required and they assured me that they would use it and they even specified it in the proposal. When they left me the remaining paint, I found that they did not use the required paint. After the deck dried, I realized that they only sealed half of the deck so I have to complete the job myself. I didn't bother to call them back again after discovering the deck figuring it would just be easier to complete it correctly myself. The company ownership was good about marketing themselves and getting the contract, but once the job was in process, there was no quality control. The person in charge during the actual work did not speak English well so he was not receptive to my complaints. I had to followup with pictures and emails and reschedule time to fix the work. If someone had been here to provide quality control at the end of the job, they would have seen how badly the work was done. They did react to my requests to fix the issues, but I do not think they had to happen in the first place if there was good project management. Wow...just read their response - all complete lies. I never had any family member do anything to my deck - I do not have any family members that could do it. I have never put gutters on the house - the original gutters are still on the house (house is not that old) and the window sill was done completely by Potts Brothers with 2 pieces of wood. I am shocked by the blatant lies! They don't even deserve the D I rated them - After this response, they deserve an F.

Excellent service. Even after I forgot to ask them to cover an area I forgot about they returned within 45 minutes and completed the work. I've used Potts previously and will use them again.

They arrived on time, were respectful of clean carpets by removing their shoes, and completed the job in one day. They cleaned up thoroughly. They used the color required by the homeowners' association and pulled the necessary town permit. My husband and I were extremely pleased and would recommend them to anyone.

The estimator, Mr. Potts, was punctual and thorough. The original estimate I had was for the whole interior of the house broken down by room. After I decided to pare that back to fit within my budget, he worked with me to rework the quote. Once we set things up, they called a few days before the appointment just to let me the time the crew would be there. They were their promptly at 8 AM. They brought a large crew, and they completed the project all in the day. They did a great job. I did miss one area in the basement area that needed a touch up, and they came back that week to touch it up.

The person who did the estimate arrived on time, asked the right questions about what type of paint we wanted to use (brand and finish), and showed knowledge of what would be required to fix the ceiling. We were able to schedule the painting for the next week and they gave an estimate of 1 to 2 days to complete. The painters arrived, with a project manager, who reviewed exactly what I wanted. This included whether to spackle over the holes where pictures had been hung. We wanted some of the holes left where they were so we could put the pictures and mirrors right back up when finished; we indicated this by leaving the nails in those holes. These were removed by the painters and then replaced. There was a foreman and 3 other painters. They moved the furniture easily, covered the floor and furniture so there was not paint spatter on them. When there was a question about some anchors in the wall the foreman came and got me. They were able to finish in one day, including the sanding on the ceiling. They used a fan to dry the paint and repairs. This looks great! Cleanup was good, with only a little paint left on the sliding door glass- easily taken care of. The foreman told me to make sure if there were any questions to call back and they would come right back and fix it. When we do other painting in the house, we will definitely use these guys again. And there was a nice follow up email as well from the owners.
