I obtained four estimates, three from companies rated highly on Angie's list. Potts Brothers' estimate was the lowest. The estimator arrived promptly. The painting crew did a very good job. They arrived when they said they would, took less than the amount of time estimated, cleaned up each day. There was a fairly small detail that I wanted handled differently than they had done. They returned promptly and redid it to my satisfaction. I was very pleased with the quality of the work, both the repairs and the painting.

From the time of making an appointment, visiting the job site and providing an estimate, to the time of project execution, the owners stayed in touch and provided the necessary information. The job was done on time and as estimated. Very happy, no more looking for an honest to goodness contractor for my next job!

Potts Brothers did a great job painting all of our exterior window frames, our front door, and the inside of our garage door. Their estimate was quickly provided, and the work they did was first rate. All in all, a superb professional job at a very fair price. Highly recommended!

I am a little perplexed I called them earlier in the week explained we had a rotted wood problem under the wood trim with carpenter ant damage and asked for them to come out for an estimate. We always get 3 estimates and than make a decision based not so much price but reviews and knowledge etc. The person who came out said we only do painting you need a window person. We don't need a window person, and painting would have been one of the jobs after the wood repair. I know I was very specific when I called. Time wasted now I have to find someone else.

On time. Charged less than estimate, professional, pleasant, efficient, perfect job. No paint drips. A new room.

Potts Brothers never bother to show up nor to call to appologize and try to set up another appointment. I saw similar complaints before calling but since overall they had a good rating I went ahead anyway. I guess I was wrong. These folks do not care about keeping their appointments. Unless you have time to waist do not call them as they might never show up.

They did a great job. They did an impeccable work. They were in and out in one day. They were very easy to talk to. In fact they gave me some hints on design. They went out and got their own paint after I selected it. Everything went smooth as silk and it is a great job.

Potts Brothers is a very professional company. I've always been pleased with their work. I have recommended them to clients (I'm a Realtor) and will continue to do so.

Far from professional painters. Potts Brothers did an acceptable job with the power washing; there was some sand that was left on the bottom of both of the fences and on the bottom of the four poles holding up the deck. I removed the sand myself before they returned to paint. The estimate included covering the work areas during painting; this was not done well at all. Paint was splattered all over my siding and was dripped all over the patio below the deck. They even got paint on sections of the patio that were no where near the areas that had been painted. Potts Bothers did a below average job with the actual painting. There are many areas of the deck and fencing where paint was allowed to run and dry like that. An even amount of paint was not applied to all painted areas; some areas of the deck and fence are darker than other areas. After contacting the office the next day regarding the splattered paint, Potts Bothers agreed to clean-up the splattered paint on the siding and the paint that was dripped on the patio. Six days after painting, the orginal painting crew used paint thinner, ligher fluid, sand paper, and a scrapper to remove most of the excess paint on the siding and the patio. There are still a few drops of splatted paint left on the siding. I could have painted everything myself and saved money; I hired a professional painter in order to have a professionally painted deck without paint being splattered on the siding and dripped on the patio below. I did not receive this; it was as if a bunch of amateurs did not prepare the area to be painted and just slopped paint on the deck and fence without worring about if the paint was even, was running, or was getting on the siding or patio. I would not recommend Potts Brothers.

They were prompt and did everything specified in the contract, until I discovered the minor problem discovered: excess paint on the underside of a bannister where six spindles are screwed into the bannister. Some areas could have been cleaned up better. Otherwise I am very happy with the work.

Potts Brothers did an amazing exterior paint job!! From the estimate to the actual work perfomed. I had an estimate done by a member of the Potts family and I was also contacted a day after the paint work was complete to ask me if I was satisfied with the work. It was a nice touch of custoemr service to have the follow up call! I was called by the pressure wash company a few days prior to the scheudled painting for the pressure wash. The gentlemen came out with all his own equipment and a large truck carrying the special water/bleach mix to clean all the exterior with. He did a thorough job and made sure to inform me that the mixute will not harm my plants or pets. He left my yard and porch free of debris. I had a few conversations with the office staff at Potts Brothers and asked about the type of paint that was going to be used and especially a primer since my home inspector said that is what will make the apint job last longer. I was told that Potts Brothers only uses premium paints and the one I selected (believe it was Baer) was a paint and primer in one. I was very happy to hear that!! The crew was quick and professional. All the repaired wooden trim looked excellent and the paint was applied neatly...there was absolutely no paint splatter or running. The lines were very tidy and clean, all my windows, shutters, and doors were spotless! I highly recommend Potts Brothers for exterior painting!! I thought the price was more than reasonable for two days of labor and painting a three story home! The best compliment was when my mother arrived from out of town and was seeing my house of the first time and she said how great the paint on the house looked!

They scheduled an assessment and were very thorough in answering my question. They were right on time and quick to respond with the assessment. Ultimately I went with another company based on price, but I got the impression that this company would have done a quality job. I will keep them in mind for the future.

Obtained three bids. Potts Bros was the cheapest bid with the lowest amount of days to complete, so I chose them. All of the bids were similar and all three appeared to be reliable and highly recommended. The crews that completed the work were on time each day, friendly and professional. They did outstanding work. They did crack a couple of mirrors while removing them to paint behind, but they they replaced them with new ones at the completion of the work. Outstanding customer service and highly recommended!

Excellent job overall. Potts sent a huge crew who completed all the work in one very long day. The house is old, so lead paint was present in a few areas, and the workmen used proper protection. We were very pleased at the time, but I never got around to writing a review. I'm prompted to do so now, however, almost a year later, because of the excellent follow-up we received on a problem. We noticed paint peeling off one deteriorating piece of siding. It appears that board should have been replaced but was not for some reason. I emailed a photo of the problem to Mr. Potts and heard back from him the next business day. The problem area was fixed the next week. We very much appreciate Potts Brothers standing by their work and responding to our complaint so quickly.

Each day the team began and finished on time. Their work was excellent, even with the challenges of painting the woodwork and dormers on a four-story townhome. Clean-up was tremendous --no residue, no paint splatter or spills. When work that was included in the orginal estimate was not needed, they informed me and deducted that amount from the final bill. The people in the office were as courteous, helfpul and professional as the painters on-site. I will use them again for the interior as well.

I set up an estimate to have pretty much my entire house painted (interior), a house that isn't done being built yet so I had to actually go to the house to meet them there. So, everything is awesome until that morning. They don't show up, they don't call and let us know anything. Just nothing.

THis was a fabulous experience. They worked incredibly hard workingand were extremely responsive. They went above and beypnd all our ecpection . I would definitely use this company again in the future. They are quite cost effective.

Prompt estimate by very professional. MR Potts is very responsive and quick scheduling of work. Lots of painters (6) and painting completed in one day.

They had been very busy the week I had called them but Dawn was able to schedule someone to come out and take a look at the house for an estimate and work began within 1 week after acceptance. During the repair work the crew had found some additional wood rot within the front door frame. Dawn contacted me in advance to advise and ask for permission to conduct the additional repairs and everything was completed within 1 day. I was very happy with the responsiveness and the quality of the work and would use them again.

Potts was great from the beginning. Got an estimator out within a couple days and the price was good. They sent their team out about a week later. It was estimated to take two days, but with a crew of 5, they got it done in one, which was fine by us. The house we moved into had a lot of drywall/trim damage near the basement door from the previous owner's movers. Potts fixed all that. The painting and repair work they did was excellent, and we will definitely use them again to finish the rest of the house at a later date. The 10% off Angie's List discount was a nice deal as well.

I called on Sunday. After realizing they are closed on Sunday's, I left a message describing some of the work i needed to have done and left my name and number for them to call me back. By Tuesday the following week, I hadn't heard anything so I called several times in the afternoon and no one picked up (kept going to their messing).

Cheerful, alert, customer friendly from first telephone inquiry, through final punch out.

This is the fourth time I have used Potts and did not live up to my expectations or previous experience. I was so confident that I did not entertain other firms. Experienced confusion and poor communications with their office Poor communications with the paint crew- status, what they were doing each day, when finished, etc. Ended rather abruptly and had no chance to review the job before they left. Noticed some siding that did not look right and also stain was dripped and splattered all over the place including my new refinished light fixtures (all 20 of them)- very sloppy. I had to request someone come out and address my concerns THREE times before any showed up. They improved on some aspects of his but still left things in a worse condition than expected. Next time I will give them a chance but ALSO seek other firms-it will be a competitive situation. My confidence in Potts is greatly diminished.
