Richard was quick to respond to my initial call, setting up an appointment for later that week, and although we had only called him for the ceiling fan, he noticed the hallway switch issue and replaced the switch. The second appointment, was originally scheduled for Thursday, but when I called him to ensure we were still on, he asked to reschedule to the following Saturday. He arrived at the agreed upon time, started work, and discovered difficulties in accessing the basement breaker panel from the 2nd floor. To work around the issue, he ended up cutting holes in the kitchen and dining room walls, as well as 4 holes in the basement bathroom ceiling so he could run the wire and access the breaker box. He swept up most of the dust, but left the holes, recommending a friend for the plaster and drywall repairs. I wish, I had known he was not going to repair the walls beforehand, but his electrical work is solid. Also, he tends to talk to himself rather loudly during his work.

Richard promised to come by on a Friday and then called that day to inform us that he had double booked us. He came by on Sunday at noon instead. Richard arrived a little early the first time he came by. He spent four hours working on the dedicated circuit which he mounted above the cabinet above the range. It wasn't a pretty job, but it was functional and will be covered by my crown molding. He charged $350 for the service. He also offered to help remount a cabinet. He came back on the following Friday to repair the dedicated circuit and the other outlets we were having issues with. He called to say he would be 2 hours late, then showed up 45 minutes after that. He completed the work in less than two hours, then tried to charge $400 because he "didn't charge enough" the last time.

Don't call in the morning hours! I called Mr. Otto on a Monday for help with an electrical problem and was told he would be able to schedule me for an appointment on Thursday. Since the electrical problem was kind of urgent I replied that I would like to find someone who could come earlier, but would call him back if I couldn't. Mr. Otto then snapped at me for waking him up. It was 10 am. His reputation says he'll do good work, but it will never be for me.

Overall he did a fine job and was early to my house and worked quickly.

Mr. Otto was quick, friendly and capable. I'd definitely hire him again and recommend him to my friends. Thanks!

MR. OTTO ARRIVED PROMPTLY WITH HIS NEPHEW, TED, IN TOW. HE UNDERSTOOD THE PROBLEM (WHICH WAS COMPLICATED IN MY OLD BUILDING) AND EXPLAINED THE SPECIFICS TO ME. MR. OTTO WAS VERY PERSONABLE, QUICK AND EASY TO WORK WITH. I WILL USE HIM AGAIN AND RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE.

We had bought a new washer and dryer; however, the dryer could not be plugged in due to a different plug on the dryer. I called Richard on a Wednesday and he performed the work on a Friday. He arrived a few minutes early. He replaced the outlet on the wall of our utility room.

Great. Mr. Otto gave an estimate over the phone, agreed to come the very next day, showed up on time, and did a nice job. He was polite and trustworthy. We would gladly hire him again. (He even took a few minutes to install a window unit air conditioner that we were unable to lift on our own! We didn't ask, he just did it as a favor because he knew we couldn't.)

The problem took a while to fix, hence the cost. Mr.Otto was friendly and didn't mind explaining all that he was doing. Good experience.

It went very well. He ran across some problems that made the job very challenging but he worked it out and did a great job. We would hire him again. He is available on short notice and reasonably priced.

It was Friday, and the condo was on the market with potential buyers coming to see it on the weekend. I called Mr. Otto in the morning, and he arranged to come that afternoon. He arrived on schedule, replaced the transformers in both fixtures, and even gave me a bulb out of his car when I'd run out of replacement bulbs.

Service was excellent. I called on the less than a week before Thanksgiving, needing to get the work done as I was hosting dinner and the switch was for the dining room! He was able to come out on short notice when no one else could. The work was fine and he was courteous (as we had a house-full of guests) and cleaned up the mess.

He noticed front storm door needed some screws, so he put some in and tightened those in place.

We hired Mr. Otto to install recessed lights in a room we are remodeling. We made an appointment a few days in advance. The work proceeded on schedule and was completed in an afternoon. We were very pleased with his work.

I highly recommend Richard and his firm. He is easy to reach, flexible, prepared, and able to do a project on a tight deadline. It was expensive but I'm pleased with the outcome.

He was a very nice guy and knowledgeable. I think he is very honest. He was prompt and professional. I would recommend him to others.

Electrician was on time for the estimate appointment; he recommended installing a new circuit panel (instead of adding breakers to the current panel), quoted a price I considered reasonable, and made an appointment to do the work. Electrician did not show for the appointment, and didn't call to say he would be late/unavailable/etc. I did leave a message for him on his voicemail, but he hasn't returned the call. Even though I liked his manner and his confidence, I will be using another electrician to complete my project.

Mr. Otto responded quickly to my telephone call, (although it was not an emergency) and came the same day - almost exactly at the stated time. He diagnosed the problem, and fixed it quickly with little disruption. I'd recommend him to do electrical work. He is licensed and insured.

Richard did a great job. He was prompt, courteous, and did work on an emergency basis with very short notice. He demonstrated thorough knowledge of the county code requirements. He did quality work, followed-up on his work, and was very responsive.
