Description of Work: restain deck and porch

Description of Work: We contracted with Northcraft Builders to rebuild our front porch shortly after a falling out with our previously selected contractor. Northcraft did an excellent job and did everything within their ability to make the project as smooth and painless as possible. At the time of this writing, the work is not complete as we still have painting and staining to do (as well as final punch list) but we are very pleased with the work so far. | |Our home is an older home and we wanted to reuse some of the old porch architectural pieces to maintain the original character of the home. Northcraft's skilled workers pulled this off without a hitch. I have to admit due to the falling out with the previous contractor I was pretty h****** Northcraft and they took it in stride and did everything they could to ensure that we were happy with the final product. | |To explain the ratings above, I gave them a B for punctuality due to the fact they started several weeks after we were told they would start. They estimated that the job would only last 2 weeks (we knew better so didn't hold much stock in that deadline). We also started well into the fall so weather was going to be a huge factor on completion times. A B was given due to the later start. | |We gave a B rating for professionalism because there were a couple of things specifically stated in the contract that we wanted and were missed. Unfortunately they were installed and we "accepted" them rather than making them change the item. I think that this could have ultimately been avoided though with more communication between the project manager and the working team and us. In this respect we all failed.

Description of Work: NorthCraft did a great job on our new deck from beginning to end. They were responsive to client wishes and worked with the county permits to provide the best options. The crews where professional and left the job clean of debris, We love our new deck. We would use NorthCraft again and recommend them to anyone else

Description of Work: We had our existing deck redone. Floor, railing and steps. The crew was extremely skilled and professional. If they had any questions about what they were doing, they tracked us down and made sure the work was according to what we wanted. The finishing touches ie. routered edges of railing and benches as well as a finished edge at the floor around each level really completes the job nicely. Awesome company.

Description of Work: NorthCraft Builders were a pleasure to work with. They began and ended the project when they said they would, the price was reasonable and the work itself was beautiful. I would recommend them in a second.

Description of Work: Our deck was an absolute mess. These guys came in and far exceeded our expectations on the work that they performed. It wasn't cheap with having to have the deck stripped, sanded and then stained with Sikkens, but it was worth every penny. We will definitely call them again.
