We contracted Mendez Services to paint the windows/trim and do several repairs on our 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom brick house. Mendez and his crew did a great job getting our weathered exterior into good shape. Whenever they encountered a challenge outside of doing the normal painting, Mendez would contact me and we decided together if it was something I wanted fixed or not. Whenever I decided I wanted an item fixed, Mendez assured me that his team could do the work. He was right. They worked h****** the scraping and painting and expertly completed the repairs and screen installation. Even though he provides superb painting services at a fair price, Mendez?s company is more than just a painting company and we plan on using him for many other projects we have planned.

We took advantage of his painting special and could not be happier. They were on time and super professional. They cleaned up perfectly and left only a beautiful job behind. I am going to hire them to pressure and stain my deck next. Also, when I hired them to do the painting, he was out with his guys the next morning! I have finally found someone in Arlington that can handle our needs and to give us a great price!

The job was performed in an excellent manner. The quality which included all detail was very good. The preparation (scraping and priming) was done prior to the actual painting as promised. The painters were very professional and easy to work with. Mr Mendez is honest, provides an excellent service, and and stands behind what he says.

Mendez was absolutely wonderful. He is professional, knowledgeable, courteous, attention to detail, honest, gets the job done and at a very fair price. I will use him every time I need work done at my properties.......He is a pleasure to work with because I know the job will get done the right way, at a fair price, and on time. He does outstanding work and I highly recommend his company.

I contacted Mendez painting about 4 months ago to do some painting in my house after renovations were completed. Mr Mendez personally came over to give me an estimate and to let me know how much paint would probably be needed (I had purchased an Angie's list deal for a painter for a week). My renovations stalled a bit, but Mendez Painting was very accommodating. I emailed them on July 20th and scheduled them to come on July 27th. Two guys showed up at 8 am on that Monday. They were very polite and professional and got right to work. They patched small holes and smoothed out some walls to make everything look better. Once my deal was up, Mr. Mendez worked with me to complete the rest of the house, including touching up the banister - it made a huge different. I would highly recommend Mendez painting to anyone looking to update the look of their place.

I'm very disappointed with the work from start to finish. They never did a walk through upon completion, but claimed to have done so. Mr. Mendez was full of excuses, and claimed I provided bad paint, although I provided the Behr brand, which is a premium brand as recommended by other painters. In short: 1) The painters did not arrive on time, and Mr. Mendez said they had partied the night before. 2) The one painter whom did show late needed help removing the power washer from the truck. It should not have been my responsibility to help lift anything, as this is what I'm paying someone else to do. 3) They did not use painters tape when painting the trim, so the work is very, very sloppy. 4) They did not bother to put a drop cloth on the copper awning over the bay window, so now there are white drops of paint spilled on the awning which look like bird droppings. 5) They failed to paint a down spout (gutter) on the back of the townhouse 7) The house numbers, doorbell, and plant holders were not removed from the trim before painting, and they just attempted to painted around them. There is white paint on the house numbers, doorbell, and plant holders. 8) It rained the evening the deck stairs was painted, so this needed another coat. It was not the quality of the paint as they claimed. 9) I've double checked my phone logs, and they have not called after they finished as Mr. Mendez claims. The only calls I received from them were during the job to let me know they were running late, and a call inquiring about the remaining balance. I have many pics to submit of their shoddy work which I would like to post. I'm surprised that their overall rating was an "A", and on closer evaluation of the reviews, I noticed that 7% rated them as a "F". I obviously fell into the 7 percentile.

Mr. Mendez made me feel good about hiring his co. I liked him (very nice) & his price. I can't say enough good things about this co. Except, THANK YOU for a WONDERFUL job. Donis Guzman Is a SUPER & unbelievable painter, knows his trade, was very nice & easy to work with.. I will not hesitate to call Mr. Mendez for any other painting jobs that I may have & I hope to get Donis again. Between Mr. Mendez & Donis I have a TERRIFIC looking home now. MUCHAS GRACIOUS!!!!

Mr. Mendez and his crew were the ultimate professionals. I was able to set up an appointment for him to come and give us an estimate very easily. He sent me an estimate the same day which was great! I was able to schedule him to do the work within days of the estimate which is not something I found with other companies. I was told when the workers would be arriving and about how long the work would take. The workers were all very friendly and hard working. They even took care to protect a nest of baby birds which are nesting in one of our hanging ferns! About halfway through the job we asked if he knew the color of the paint of our house so we could do some touch ups. Mr. Mendez found the exact paint color and did the touch ups himself. It was a great experience and we will definitely use Mendez painters again as well as recommending him to friends!

Mendez was quick to come out and provide me with an estimate. The job was completed in 1 day. There were some minor communications issues (around scheduling and the materials required), but overall a job well done. There were some small repairs (caulking) that were not included in the original contract, but he took care of them nonetheless. I provided paint and primer.

I reached out to several painters for estimates for an exterior paint job. All of the painters were very fast to return calls and schedule times for estimates. Mendez responded quickly to schedule the estimate. They didn't show and rescheduled for 2 days later. I had to follow up with them to see what happened since they didn't let me know they were not going to make it. They responded by saying sorry, we had a crazy day today, how about we come on Friday. We'll call you as soon as we get there and make the estimate. Friday came and went/ I reached out Saturday morning and they replied so sorry, we had a crazy day because we had to power wash a house yesterday, we''l stop by on Sunday. Luckily I have several other estimates to work with. I'm surprised this happened because I would think most companies would understand that they are being evaluated from the very first contact with the customer...or at least that's the case with me. Good luck Mendez and hope your days don't continue to be crazy with "power-washes" and other extraordinary normal things. :-)

The job started slowly due to getting all the materials. Fabio, the head carpenter, is very methodical. He doesn't work fast, but he does excellent work. The flooring guy, Donny(?), works really quickly and does a great job of matching up lines and surfaces so several rooms look visually cohesive. Lastly, Mendez himself is an excellent painter. As the business owner, he makes sure you're satisfied with the work and delivers s project on time if not early. My only complaint is he had to charge extra in the middle of my job for some material and labor that we didn't foresee, but the end result was stunning. This is their second job for me and I recommend them highly.

The work was acceptable, but for anything more involved, I may go elsewhere.

I saw the good reviews for Mendez Painting Service on Angie's List so I decided to give them a call. I certainly wasn't disappointed! I met with the owner of Mendez Painting Service and he provided me with a fair quote. He had an emergency situation come up the first date we scheduled, which wasn't an issue with me, so we rescheduled for 2 days later. Two painters showed up on time and they were very professional. They did a great job painting all the exterior trim of my house including the garage door, shutters, front door, foundation by the walk out basement and hand railing. They also recaulked the entire house, since it had been some time and most of the caulking was broken down. The owner came back the next day to finish up the job. They cleaned up everything perfectly and I am very satisfied. I highly recommend Mr. Mendez and would definitely call them in the future when I need additional painting work done.

We were very pleased with Mendez painting and have already contacted them to do another room. Painter showed up on time, was very courteous and professional. He finished walls and ceiling and then insisted on re-doing the trim and doors which we had already painted. He noted that we had paid for a full day so might as well get what we paid for. We had to run an errand at one point but had no qualms about leaving painter on this own. When we returned, he told us he needed more paint. He waited until we got it and then finished the job. No extra charges.

The painter was thorough and professional; albeit, he did not speak English and I was forced to repeat, point, and help him understand. My only suggestion, because the painter did a fabulous job once he got going, is for Mendez to send people to a customer's home who speak the language of this nation - ENGLISH! Everyone does not speak Spanish and what little I have learned from watching Dora the Explorer with my child was brought to the limits of my ability when I was trying to explain to this gentleman what I needed done. This caused a range of concerns from depth of understanding of my requirement to my own personal security. Had my wife been home alone, you would have lost the job because of this. Hire English speaking painters or have them learn English.

It went great. Mr. Mendez was responsive and accommodating of our schedule and preferences, and Fred, who did our painting, was excellent-- prompt, professional, courteous, tidy, and did a really good job. We were really pleased with Fred's work-- he worked efficiently, but clearly took pride in doing it well-- not just doing it. We really appreciated that, and would feel very comfortable working with him again.

It went horrible! I purchased this deal and then had to wait a couple weeks (which is fine) and then no one showed for the first appointment date. I had to call them and all they could say was sorry we couldn't find your house. I tried to be nice about it but they rescheduled for a week later and guess what..... they showed up with no ladder even though I said it was an exterior painting job! I would suggest that you stay far away from this business no matter what deal they have as it is not worth it at all!

The painter himself did an excellent job. He finished in 32 hours instead of the 40 which were included with the Big Deal. He worked hard and got it done in just a few days. He was neat and cleaned up after himself. I had a problem though with the owner, who wanted me to pay him an extra $450 for an additional 10 hours over the 40 hours which was included in the deal. (50 hours total). He said the job should have taken 50 hours and that the painter worked too fast. I did not pay him this extra amount because really, he owed me an extra 8 hours of painting.

Mr. Mendez showed up right on time for estimating the work, and e-mailed the estimate promptly. I received estimates from several other painters, but Mr. Mendez's estimate was by far the most reasonable and fair of the lot. The painter arrived on the day and at the time promised. His prep work on our old fence was well done and included scraping, sanding, and chaulking. His application of primer and paint and his cleanup were thourough. The fence now looks better than one would expect for a 20-year-old structure, plus it again enhances the appeal of the property. Give Mr. Mendez a chance to estimate your project. You won't be disappointed.

We knew it would be time-consuming to do this job and it did take the full day to do it. The painter was using oil-based primer and paint and was very tidy and neat, and did not leave drops of paint anywhere. Very pleased with the work. Will buy another Mendez Painting Services deal to have them back to paint the exterior of our home next.

Excellent - Mendez was very professional, and continues to provide estimates on addition work required. We started off with the back side of the house and they completed within the allotted timeframe. He told me he could repair the wood rot and paint the front of the house at the same price - so I accepted and he did a great job, although I did have his workers come back to fix a minor problem, he had it done within a few days. We are 100% pleased with the work done by Mendez Painting Services. Mr. Mendez was extremely responsive and helpful. Donis worked very hard throughout the job and barely took a break. He is a skillful painter and the cabinets look magnificent. We also appreciate the care he took in covering the floor and cleaning up afterward. If I could award A+ in every category, I would.

The painter was on time and courteous. He also did an excellent paint job.
