Majestic Moving and Storage

They didn't show up or call to let me know they were unable to come. I was in a hurry so this was very frustrating. I called and asked where they were and he said he couldn't call me this morning, he wanted to reschedule. I would have if he would have called me but because I called him after the scheduled appointment time I told him no thanks I'll find someone else.

The estimate was thorough and included an estimated number of hours to complete the move (with driving time), the number of movers that would assist, and how the move would be handled. On moving day, the four-person crew arrived at 9am as scheduled. Immediately they began loading boxes, wrapping furniture (sofas, mattresses) and pictures. It took about 2 hours to load the condo unit, and after a 45 minute drive to the storage unit another 30 minutes to wrap and load up those items (mattress, sleeper sofa and chair, kitchen table and chairs, boxes). Upon arrival to our new home, it took less than 90 minutes for them to unload, unwrap, and set up (in case of the 2 queen beds) the items. They placed everything where we asked and did not scuff up any of our walls or break any items. Later we realized they even boxed up some bedroom lamps and baskets for additional protection. All told the move took 6-7 hours and we felt very good about it and have absolutely no complaints!!!

They did the most outstanding job possible. They followed through from the initial call to the end. They showed up on time and were very professional. I told them that I had a certain time frame and they were able to do the work in that time frame. They did a great job and really took care of my things. They also took things apart and put them back together carefully. They were very careful of my new hardwood floors. They really went above and beyond. They really know what they are doing. They called after the job to make sure that everything was okay.

They sent an estimator to our apartment, who gave us a not to exceed price. The moving crew arrived an hour and a half late, but that was the only hiccup. They moved our furniture with speed and care. They were very professional and courteous.

They didn't do any of the packing. I would recommend them.

Our move was slightly complicated in the sense that we were moving furniture from two one bedroom apartments into a house (one apartment is in VA the other in DC and the house is located blocks away from the DC apartment) as well as needing a few light items walked up to another apartment that was located half a block away from the VA apartment. The fact that we needed to move over the holidays eliminated any option of roping friends into helping us move... so we opted to move boxes ourselves in order to save money and hire Majestic for the furniture. All in all things went very well. The guys on the job were respectful and very nice. I had been quoted 3 men and 5 arrived to do the work. The job went faster than estimated, perhaps due to the extra men. The only downside is that we are unable to locate parts for a shelving unit. Lesson learned in terms of ensuring that everything is put back together prior to a crew leaving.

I called Majestic Movers and gave an initial list of furniture to pick up and a range of dates. They responded with a fair quote (much better than other companies) and said they were trying to coordinate my pick up date with another one in Kansas City, but thought they could do the pick up with my range of dates. After a week or so, we spoke again and I added a few more items to my original list. As it turns out, their pick up in KC was pushed back a few weeks but they offered me the same price as the initial quote, in spite of the new items, because of the delay. They were very accommodating in picking up the furniture from a storage unit and, as I requested, kept us advised of progress on the way back. They arrived to DC during the week but were willing to hold the furniture a couple of days until the weekend, so I did not have to take time off work. Delivery went smoothly and they went above and beyond helping to rearrange some of our own furniture to accommodate the new items.

Majestic was very flexible in meeting our schedule. They agreed to work on the weekend to do that. The buyer of our house was eager to get possession and we needed to keep our buyer happy. Majestic treated our furniture as if it were new. We found very little damage upon unpacking.

They were extremely courteous and went way beyond the call of duty. I have moved several times in my life but I have never had an experience like this. They were wonderful. The price was more than reasonable.

It went exceptionally well. Ovander arrived on time to provide the estimate within 48 hours of the time I submitted a request on their website. He did the estimate in a short time, and scheduled the move for the same week on Saturday morning--the weekend after Thanksgiving! The men doing the move also arrived on time, and instead of the two that I was expecting, there were three. This made the entire move only a 2.5 hour project for me. There was no extra charge for the third man. They took great care with my antiques and were extremely accommodating about packing and then placing my items where I needed them to be in my new location. They were professional, courteous, and I will use them without hesitation again.

They arrived early and were very courteous. I had previously moved most of my belongings myself, but left the heaviest and most delicate furniture for the professionals. These guys were definitely professionals. They carefully wrapped all furniture before moving and nothing was damaged in the move. I asked them to move other furniture around in the new house to make room for what was being moved in, which they did with a smile. Just as the last load is always more than you think it will be, they carried more than I originally thought I had to move, but charged nothing extra. They kept to their estimate. The experience was great.

I COULD NOT HAVE WANTED ANYTHING MORE. THE ESTIMATE QUOTED WAS LOWER THAN EXPECTED AND WHEN THE WORK WAS COMPLETE, THE YOUNG MEN STATED IT DIDN'T TAKE AS LONG AS HAD BEEN ESTIMATED AND LESS PACKING MATERIAL WAS USED THAN ANTICIPATED, SO THE TOTAL WAS $50.00 BELOW THE QUOTED ESTIMATE!

Majestic Moving did an absolutely fantastic job! My situation was a bit complicated because it involved an estate move and I was not exactly sure how much stuff I had to move. They provided a quote over the telephone and were flexible and responsive when I called to say that it looked as though the job had grown. Majestic showed up at the exact time arranged in New Jersey and all the packers and movers were extraordinarily polite and professional. Majestic transported the load to DC, kept everything overnight for us and then assisted us with furniture set-up in our home. They loaded the bulk of the truckload into a storage locker. Ovando Thelwell and his team at Majestic made the whole experience pleasant, easy and worry-free.

Called for an estimate, Ovando came in person to give free estimate at our requested time. The estimate was reasonable and they were available when we wanted to move, so I picked the date and time for moving. Three-member team: Desmond, Nick and one more came on the day of move, on time. They were very pleasant and jovial and, most of all, smart and knew how best to accomplish the move. All three worked hard and well together and were just happy with what they were doing, absolutely no complain about heavy things or when we changed things. Very pleasant and professional. They set up each items exactly where wanted them, made sure we were happy and just showed that our satisfaction was their number one priority. It took more than the time estimated but they honored the original estimate and that is what we paid. No damage whatsoever either to goods or the places. Absolutely, the best movers I have ever hired or heard of. Will definitely use them the next time we move.

It went well. They were very professional and courteous. They brought four guys to do the job. They carefully moved our furniture to get the piece out through the back door. They then hoisted the piece over my second story deck by stationing two men on the bottom and two on the deck. What was a pretty precarious job, they handled very carefully and professionally. They only accepted cash (no checks), so we had go to the ATM to get some cash.

The job went very well. Four friendly crew members arrived promptly at the assigned time, did a quick survey of what to move, and got right to work. They were finished in less time than I would have imagined.

At first I hesitated to hire them because they didn't show up for the estimate on the date we had arranged. I had stayed home for this and tried the cell phone number I had been given and received no return call. The next day I called again, and we re-arranged for another estimate the next day. The woman who came out for the estimate, Kanika, was professional and courteous. She provided me a written estimate the next day and after a few days of comparison shopping, I opted to go with this company. I could not have been more pleased with the service the two gentlemen provided. On the day of the packing, they were an hour late, but called. Once they arrived, they got right down to business. The estimate called for four hours of packing time but took only over three. They used the boxes I had in storage, and brought enough of their own materials to cover the rest. The following day was the actual move, and they sent an extra man at no charge. They were done within six hours.

These guys were great. They were on time. They packed everything very carefully and everything was moved back undamaged. I will definitely give them a call when I need them again, and I will recommend them to other people..

I was very satisfied with the job that these movers did for me. Only one piece of glass was broken during the move and they acknowledged the mistake and had it replaced free of charge to me. That is a good sign when company can take responsibility for their actions.

Overall I was very pleased with the service provided by Majestic Moving. Ovando scheduled an in-person estimate during a holiday afternoon, and called to let me know he'd be a few minutes late. He and his team were very pleasant to deal with, especially the crew that arrived to do the move. They showed up on time, and completed the job exactly within the time-frame they estimated. They were very careful to wrap up my "good" furniture, and took care of the boxes and other items being moved.

These guys were absolutely amazing. The job was estimated for 4 men, 3 of whom showed up and did the work of 4. They busted butt through an extremely long day. But they also used their brains, not just their brawn... really smart men who thought through how to pack what and where things should go (whenever neither of us were nearby to direct them). They remained cheerful throughout, even toward the end of this tough day. They even sang a little at various times (well, the Temptations and Frank Sinatra were nice... could have skipped the Tom Jones, but I'm nitpicking). A month after the move, throughout unpacking, we've found nothing missing or broken. The estimate was the lowest of 5, which made me nervous at the time, but I ultimately couldn't resist, and obviously, it worked out. And the price came in under estimate. You know these men earned and got very big tips. Feed and treat them very well... they're worth their (considerable-muscle) weight in gold.

I was just moving up the street, and it was a pretty small move. They were pleasant and efficient, and I have no complaints.

There was a misunderstanding on the move date, which I will take some accountability for. The Tuesday date did not occur because they didn't have a confirmation from me, but I took the free estimate with the intention of moving with this company. Anyway, they were more than accommodating and I agreed to wait until the next day because I didn't want to deal with heavy afternoon traffic. The next day the men arrived, they sent 5 guys instead of three and moved everything quickly. They took great care in safeguarding my property and Desmond, the supervisor was on top of everything. The men loaded up the truck and we were out of my apt. in an hour. Once arriving at my home the men moved the boxes to their proper rooms (tip: I put color coded labels--neon colored on the boxes and then hung the same neon color over the room with the matching name). So the guys basically had to match the color label with the room. The job started at 10:25 AM and was done by 1:00 PM. I even served lunch.
