Majestic Moving and Storage

The crew was professional and extremely careful. Every single piece arrived intact. Things were taken apart and put back together precisely. The office staff was also attentive. While I hope I don't need their services in the near future, I would recommend them without hesitation.

They were fantastic. Our situation was kind of fluid. They were extremely flexible. Every phone call was a positive exchange. They were the most reasonable company when it came to price. The guys who came were professional and courteous and careful. I had a good experience with them. They didn't ruin anything or bump anything or leave any scratches.

Ovando and his crews were completely professional. Ovando provided a very honest and accurate estimate. The Majestic movers actually had two crews (one crew was between jobs) to get us out of the townhome so it went quite quick. They took unbelievable care in thoroughly wrapping every single item that warranted wrapping from furniture, glass, and paintings. I was also truly amazed to see the guys move so much into our storage unit, it showed that they knew what they were doing. The move a week later from the storage unit to the new house went smoothly, we had fewer guys moving, but it wasn't that big of a deal since we were lucky to have two crews before. Overall great move, and nothing was damaged or scratched.

Very good experience. Ovando came out to do an estimate and it was comprehensive and fair. On the day of the move, the moving team was delayed from a previous job and arrived late, but they did their best to get back on schedule while not being careless. Once loaded up the move went very smoothly and efficiently. The moving team was very nice and professional.

I contacted Majestic to get a quote to move into our new house. They were able to give me a quote over the phone, after asking a series of questions. Unfortunately, their price was a bit higher than some of the other firms, so we decided to go with someone else. If their rates came down, I would consider using them in the future.

Excellent. Ovando came to my apartment to give the estimate and was thorough and professional. He gave me a "Not to Exceed" price that was less than other estimates I had received. On moving day, 3 friendly men arrived 30 minutes early. They efficiently and carefully wrapped all my furniture in blankets and tape and handled it very gently. I had marked the boxes of dishes and stuff "Fragile" but they treated every box as if it were fragile. They even took random stuff I had in shopping bags (ran out of boxes) and lamps that I had planned to move myself. Everything arrived in perfect condition. On the other end, they unwrapped everything and placed each furniture piece and box exactly where I wanted it. They were extremely careful with the walls and floors on both ends. They were professional and pleasant all day, even when there were parking and elevator frustrations. They even offered to help with anything else I needed moved or rearranged. Even though the move took several hours more than the estimate (+2 hours), they honored the "Not to Exceed" price. I have never hired movers before and have heard many horror stories, but I will not even consider moving again without Majestic!

The owner gave us a fair estimate, and the movers did a great job. The movers showed up when expected, carefully wrapped the furniture and artwork, and loaded them and many boxes into the truck in just a few hours. Although they had to make at least one stop on the way to pick up or deliver something, they arrived exactly when they were supposed to two days later and unloaded and unwrapped items (except boxes, of course, which we had packed) without any damage. The men were very pleasant from start to finish. We would not hesitate to use them again. In fact, my husband was sorry that he hadn't known about Majestic Movers when he moved his office a couple years ago.

Fantastic! I have made well over a dozen moves in my life and never had a good experience, until now. These guys really surprised me. They were professional, genuinely respectful of my property and friendly. The owner personally come and provided the estimate and he was right on target. I was worried that it was too low and that I would get a bait and switch later. It never happened. These guys did exactly what they said they would for exactly the amount they estimated. They also had to haul two very heavy double wide bookshelves around to the back of the house to get them into the basement level. At every point they were absolutely fantastic, courteous and friendly. I was originally expecting 3 guys with the truck but 4 came to work, though they were initially a little late they made up for it quickly in that they worked very hard and nonstop. I would recommend these guys any day and without hesitation. Not a single item was dented, dinged, broken or scratched. They took a great deal of care and helped me put felt feet on all the items going on hardwoods without my asking. Hands down, the best move I have ever had to make and I HATE moving.

They really went above and beyond, we had some furniture that we wanted to give to somebody and they took it to them for a very low fee. They did a great job moving a very valuable piece of art. They are a great value and reasonably priced. The movers were very nice and pleasant.

They were very punctual. They were actually early. They were very professional and very quiet they did what they needed to get done. over all they were very good and easy to work with. They were very careful with my things. The price was exactly as quoted.

After requesting a quote on-line, I met with Ovando several weeks before the move and we discussed each part of the move, did a walk thru of the office suite, identified which pieces were going where. He assured me that there would be no problem contracting for a crane, getting enough moving crew members for each job and was even able to provide temporary storage for a lot of furniture that we planned to liquidate later. Ovando also went on a site visit with the homeowner/president of our company to assess the requirements for getting the large pieces to the third floor. The dates for each move were scheduled and I felt optimistic that it would go without a hitch. As a retired Army vet and now office manager for over 7 years, I have never worked with such a professional organization. I can honestly say that Ovando, Kanika and the Majestic Moving crew handled every facet of the move flawlessly. The crew arrived on time for each phase of the move; worked tirelessly to complete the job; were extremely respectful of everyone; and I was able to reach them in the evening and on a weekend if I had a question or needed to add an additional requirement. I can't thank each and everyone of them enough for making this complex move an absolute success.

Showed up on time. They were professional, courteous, and took very good care packing up my stuff. Then they got hopelessly lost trying to find my new home. I had the guys wait in the truck at a nearby store that they were able to find, and then I drove out to them and had them follow my car back to my new home. Despite that minor issue, they did a great job and I would definitely hire them again. I would suggest you make the driver a map and not just trust that they could find an address on their own.

I was really impressed that Majestic Movers were willing to come out and provide an in-person estimate prior to my hiring them (and on such short notice! I hired them two weeks prior to my move-date). The day of the move, the three men assigned to the project arrived ahead of schedule (by fifteen minutes). They were very professional and moved so quickly! The move was a lot less stressful and a lot more efficient than I had anticipated, based on prior experiences (moving on my own, or with other companies). They wrapped up my furniture so carefully and were quick to ask questions about where items should go in the new place. The actual cost was a little higher than my estimate (by approximately $100), which may have been due to additional items I included in the move. I would recommend Majestic Movers & will certainly use them in the future!

They were very customer oriented they did exactly what they said they were going to do their prices were fairly reasonable as well. They did a overall good job.

I requested an estimate online. I received an automated email response assuring me that a representative would be in touch, but I never heard from the company again. I went with another moving company that responded promptly to my request.

Ovando came out and gave us a great estimate for our small move. He was very personable and told us all about his company, and how he started it. We were very excited to be using a moving company that was rated so highly on Angie's List and seemed to be dedicated to great customer service. Things started to go wrong when the movers first showed up a month early. They were very nice and professional about it, so it didn't seem to be a big deal. However, the day of the actual move, the movers showed up over 90 minutes late with no dollies, one less mover than they were supposed to have, and clearly almost no information about the details of our move. It was very disappointing to say the least. No work was done for the first 30 minutes -- probably because they were waiting for dollies and the other mover. Eventually, Ovando dropped off the dollies without saying a word to us or apologizing for the lack of organization. While the movers themselves were completely professional and extremely hard working, our move took much longer than it was supposed to because they were short staffed and unprepared. Not only that, our estimate was $880. Even after all of the things that went wrong the move came in at $1,600... but then they gave us a break to $1,000. While it certainly was priced right, and the movers were great, I would try a different company. I was hoping for a smooth, organized move and instead it was managed chaos. Movers were great, management was terrible.

Majestic Moving was excellent. Orvando, the owner, came out to look at our townhouse a couple weeks before the job to give us an estimate. The estimate turned out to be right on. On the moving day, the movers wrapped all of the furniture in blankets and plastic wrap. They were very efficient and careful, and all of our belongings made it safely. We were very pleased with the service and would definitely use them again.

Overall the move went well, but the follow up (necessary due to damage) was spotty. Ovando arrived on time for the estimate and he was professional and helpful. The quote was good and I scheduled the move. The movers arrived on time and loaded up the truck. They then went to a nearby storage unit to load its contents onto the moving truck and paid special attention to some very fragile items. During unloading/move in an antique vanity was damaged and Steve, who was the crew chief, was very indifferent to the damage and implied that the item may had already been damaged prior to the move. He was ambivalent about accepting responsibility for it. The movers then damaged a historic feature of the house with some heavy furniture. When the move was done (which took longer than estimated, but since there was a "fixed price" on the estimate I paid just what was originally quoted) Steve gave me a final sheet that noted the damage to the house (he indicated that Majestic Movers would get it repaired) and also to the vanity but would not commit to repairing the vanity. He told me that I would get a call from Ovando in the next couple of days to discuss the damage and schedule the repair. I never heard from Ovando - and called several days later and left a message. I still didn't hear back from him, and finally one of the assistants in his office told me - after I called her for the third time - to call the repair company directly to schedule an estimate because Ovando was too busy to get back to me. She did indicate that they would take care of repairing both the damage to house and to the vanity, which was a pleasant surprise. I had anticipated that repairing the vanity might be an issue because of Steve's response to it. The repair company was professional and courteous, but since Majestic Movers require an estimate prior to approving the repair, and then I had to get the repair done, it took a number of hours of missed work and lots of inconvenience - spread out over several weeks (because the repair company was so busy) to finally get everything taken care of.

Excellent. Can't say enough about this great experience. They took the time to wrap, breakdown, box, pack etc. all of my belongings. They also re-assembled everything. But the important thing is that they ensured everything was package and wrapped properly. They constantly asked where I wanted to put things. Even offered to move some things that I had mistakenly told them to put in the wrong place.

We split up the process, with packing on a Thursday and moving on Saturday, which gave my wife and me the ability to focus on the settlement on Friday. The Majestic team leader was Gustavo and he was right on time for both days of work, bringing three additional packers/movers with him each day. They packed up all the kitchen, disassembled furniture and packed up electronics. It was very helpful to have the original packaging for some items like the flat screen TV and audio components, as well as some of the original boxes for wine glasses. One thing we did not anticipate was that the packing team would also arrive in a moving truck, which can be hard to park in the city. We got lucky and found street parking for it without the Emergency No Parking signs we had requested and posted for the Saturday move. On Saturday, the loading and unloading of the truck went well. Gustavo and his team reassembled furniture and placed boxes in the rooms we indicated. They were very accommodating in allowing us to look at some larger pieces of furniture in different rooms before deciding where to leave them. There were a few minor bangs in the staircase wall from larger pieces going upstairs, but nothing unexpected or that cannot be patched and painted.

They gave me a lower price than they estimated, they were on time, and they were very assertive, and they didn't waste any time. They were very friendly and put us at ease.

I was happy with the work in the end, but it was a long road getting there. They started the move about an hour late after getting lost on the way to the storage facility (although in three separate calls I was told to expect them within 5-15 minutes, all but the last being at least 1/2 hour off). It was a bit of a confusing drive admittedly, but they admitted to leaving late as well so we'll split the difference and say they were a 1/2 hour late through their fault. They intended to have four workers on my job, but because of some no-shows that morning (possibly the cause of them leaving late), there were only three on my job with a truck not quite big enough for everything that needed to be moved. They took about two hours to pack the items from the storage facility after estimating it would take about a 1/2 hour (it took two men 4 hours to move the things from my house to the truck and from the truck to the storage facility when the things originally went there as a frame of reference), so we were pushing noon before the contents of my house began to get packed. After a few hours when things weren't moving along very well I was told that they expected another truck and some additional help soon. Around 3pm a second truck arrived. Interestingly, the truck was just dropped off with no additional help. Seemed strange since the first truck was only about half full, but okay...Around 5:30, with the first truck still not quite completely packed, three more men showed up. From there things went relatively smoothly as the additional help seemed to invigorate everyone. Eventually, the job was complete at around 11:30 pm, about six hours later than originally estimated. For the most part the men worked hard, particularly in the evening. It was a tough day to move as the temperature was about 95, so I understood that they moved a bit more slowly than normal. Thankfully, the price was fixed, so I only paid what was originally estimated. All in all, I've had worse moving experiences, and I did believe that some of what didn't happen as planned wasn't their fault. The actual moving part of the job went pretty well - nothing scratched or broken and only a couple of minor dings on the paint inside the new house not worth mentioning - MUCH better than my past experience. I think this company is probably best suited for smaller moves given their size, but they were very nice when dealing with my rantings (I called probably a dozen times during the job for one reason or another) and I'd consider giving them another shot in the future.

It went very well. They were strong and friendly guys. They were very accommodating. They were a bit late and were a little behind schedule but it did not cause any problems. They were very careful and only a picture frame broken and they are having it repaired. I am satisfied with the work.

Majestic was recommended by a friend, who, perhaps had heard of them through Angie's List. The price was in line with my getting a moving truck, getting the truck loaded, then getting it unloaded, so getting them to do it was a no-brainer. Really, they were fast and professional and I would recommend them to everyone.

UNBELIEVABLY WELL! Ovando came to us to provide an estimate, which turned out to be very fair, given how much we had to move (2 bedroom apt + schlep). He was polite, responsive, and helpful - gave us some good tips. The guys arrived on time, packed everything up by hand (no dollies!), were willing to accommodate a last-minute request to take some stuff to the storage unit, and were incredibly hard-working. They would barely take a break for lunch! It ended up taking 7.5 hours all told, but in hindsight, there was no way to have made it any faster, without sacrificing quality. They carefully wrapped all of our furniture, including our ridiculously heavy TV, and gently moved them. No nicks, no dents, no evidence! We would HIGHLY recommend this company - from start to finish, they were great. Although moving is never fun, they made it more than tolerable. If only they could have stayed and unpacked the boxes!
