They had the utmost professionalism. Everything was packaged very well. They were respectful of my belongings. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Overall, everything went extremely well. I was called the day of the day before the move to confirm my move time, and I was called the day of the move by the team leader to inform me that they were on their way. They arrived on time and got started as soon as they arrived. I was most concerned about my big screen 60 inch plasma TV, and it being moved safely down 3 flights of stairs and up to the 4th level of the townhouse. I did have to disconnect the TV from all of the other things it was hooked up to, but once I did that, everything went without a hitch. I got an estimate from another moving company, and they wanted to charge me an extra $250 because I did not have my original box that my TV came in, and they wanted to crate my TV before they moved it. Majestic moving did not charge me extra to move my TV, and they wrapped it up with all kinds of padding. My TV was not damaged in any way, and I was relieved. Any furniture they disassembled, they reassembled. Overall, I was very please with the move: no damage to my belongings or the walls. The movers were professional, friendly, and they worked very efficiently.

I was very happy. When we called for an estimate (with a discount for Angie's List customer), the person came over that evening and gave us a written estimate with everything broken out so we could choose the level of service. We packed a few things ourselves, but otherwise, Majestic packed and moved us. They showed-up right on time and even worked through lunch. They complied with all the silly rules our apartment has. I tried to help, but they wouldn't have it. When we moved in, they unpacked the major items and arranged our furniture. They were all very polite and very professional. If your doing a move, you can't go wrong with these folks. It is a good deal. This move had no headaches for me.

I was able to schedule an in-home estimate within a few days of my initial call and then able to schedule the actual move for only a few days thereafter. During the estimate, we walked through the entire house going over what would stay and what would go and I was given a detailed breakdown of material costs and how long each step of the move would take. On the day of the move the four movers arrived right on time and were all friendly and professional. I showed them which items needed to be packed and which stayed with the house and felt secure that my requests were heard and noted. During the packing and loading process, if there was any question of whether an item stayed or went the movers didn't hesitate to ask and as a result nothing was unnecessarily moved or unintentionally left behind. Everything was packed appropriately and nothing was damaged during the move. The timing of the packing and loading was exactly as estimated, the movers were hardworking and efficient, and the truck arrived in Alexandria before I did. During the unloading, the movers were conscientious about arranging both furniture and boxes as I specified. All-in-all, everything went according to schedule, I felt that my possessions were handled respectfully, and we even came in under budget. I highly recommend Majestic.

Not well. The company has a policy of, if you want, coming to your home, looking at your possessions and then giving you a firm price on the spot that they will not exceed. Meaning, you pay the hourly rate for the move and if it takes longer than the estimate they will only charge you the price that they've written down on the estimate itself - in my case, a little over $500. Well, several hours into the move, the mover (who was not the man who came out to give me the estimate), started complaining that it had already been 2 hours, the estimate was for 3 hours (excluding travel) and that he easily had another 1.5 hours of work to do just loading up all of my possessions - and none of that included the time needed to get unpack at my new place. I wasn't clear why he was telling me this, as the company promises the "not to exceed" price is what you're gong to pay if the job takes longer that estimated. So I simply said "yeah." The mover then told me that it was clearly going to take longer than the estimate - he pointed out the estimate, then again reiterated how much time it was going to take. Again, I simply said "yeah." He kind of told me again, and I finally asked him "what is your point?" He then said that they could either leave a number of my large things behind, or he could just charge me beyond the "do not exceed price." I wasn't pleased and explained his own company's pricing policy to him. He then complained that he had to pack up my clothes into the wardrobes they provided, and somehow that justified charging me more. I explained that when I called the company last week they told me that he would bring the wardrobes the day of move, and that he would pack them up for me. Then he told me he had to move lots of things that I supposedly told the home-inspector I wasn't going to move. I said, like what? He pointed to the estimate that said "not to move: futon and work chair." I told him, do you see a futon and work chair? They were thrown out a week ago. Then he said, yeah but look at this, the estimate says "may or may not move 3 bookshelves." Yeah, and we did move them, which the document permits me to do. I told the inspector that I wasn't sure yet about the bookcases and he said not to worry, and included them in the estimate, noting that I may or may not choose to move them - my choice wasn't going to change the estimate. So next he brought up the fact that someone's moving box was "blocking" the loading dock of my building and that wasted time, and that one of our two elevators was broken (one wasn't enough?). It's a long story, but after they broke a small piece of furniture, scratched my dining room table and chipped an artifact from Alaska, I called the owner and he was VERY nice. Wanted to make me happy. I told him that I'd pay the original price and that was it. He was fine with that, apologized for the guy. The owner was great.

The truck and crew were about 45 minutes or more late due to traffic problems. However, the dispatcher was in touch with me several times to let me know the status. Once they arrived, however, they were extremely efficient and professional. I left them to clear out the storage unit and then meet me at the condo. Once they arrived, they worked quickly to unload the truck, were very conscientious about my furniture, how it was handled and where I wanted it placed. Overall, they did a great job. I would definitely hire them again.

Majestic Movers did an execellent job. A few weeks prior, I met with Ovando to obtain various types of quotes depending on where I moved to or whether I placed items in storage. On the day of the move, the team was punctual. It was a team of three. They did an execellent job. They were very professional, hardworking and caring of the furniture. As my house had a large volume of items, toward the end of the packing, we ended up having another truck come by the house and pack the remaining items while the first truck was unloading at the new house. At the new house, the team tried each and every door available to bring in an very large versized sofa. Unfotunately, we were not able tp get it in. The windows did not provide an alternative. In the end, the items is being stored. I really enjoyed the companys work ethic, professonalism, and dedicated employees. I would definitely use them in the future. It is a company whose services one can depend on.

Despite arriving 30 minutes late on a cold morning, driver plus 2 worked quickly to professionally wrap and load queen bed, dresser, table, desk, sofa, 2 glass coffee/sofa tables, and 2 wardrobe boxes of clothes. Truck followed me to new digs at which they carefully unloaded, unwrapped and positioned all items in new apartment. Finished earlier than expected. Very pleasent crew.

A great moving experience from start to finish! The 3-man crew showed up an hour early, which allowed them to get started sooner than expected. They were friendly, professional and took great care wrapping my furniture and pictures. They disassembled my large bed, and wrapped the mattresses and frame. They loaded the truck quickly but carefully, and unloaded in the same manner. They reassembled my bed, placed it where I wanted it and did not leave until all furniture was arranged as I wanted it. On top of all that, they rolled up 2 large carpets that I did not want to take and hauled them down to the dumpster for me. I'm almost done unpacking and so far nothing has been broken. An excellent job from start to finish. I highly recommend this company!

Having had trouble previously with office moves I wanted to use Angie's List to get a mover. Majetic provided excellent help. They gave me a reasonable offer and were careful with my possessions. The only difficulty was getting boxes on a timely basis-it took a little bit longer to get boxes than expected. They did not leave until everything was right.

These guys do an excellent job! They worked non-stop(well, except for a brief lunch)for about 12 hours. The only reason the move took so long is that they had to load two different houses filled with exercise equipment and furniture then unload in into a two story house forty miles away. They were very careful with our fragile items and wrapped all the furniture. I was extremely pleased. They really took the stress out of a huge move. Also, the representative who came out to give us a quote was very professional and his quote was accurate. I would definitely recommend Majestic.

They're very professional. They showed up on time and did everything that I asked of them. They were flexible and able to accommodate a change in the scope after I'd gotten an estimate. They gave me a not-to-exceed price and did not exceed that. I gave them a B overall because there was one minor communication issue. The foreman didn't quite understand my instructions to him as far as how to dispose of some things, but it was a relatively minor issue.

They did superb work...nothing was broken or scratched, including walls and adjacent furniture. They used their heads as well as their muscles! They were perfectly willing to move things a bit back and forth until I was satisfied with their exact location.

Ovando came and quoted the job quickly after we called for an estimate. He carefully reviewed the entire house, including in closets and cabinets, then provided a capped estimate. We also requested that the washer/dryer be swapped between houses, which only marginally increased that estimate. He was very friendly, thorough and professional. On the day of the move, Majestic was scheduled to arrive at 9:00, and we found them at our door at 8:59, waiting to knock. The crew walked through the house and carefully took note of what was going and what was staying, what required additional attention, etc. Everything was quickly and efficiently loaded room-by-room without any problems or damages. The crew communicated with us when they had questions and generally could not have loaded the truck faster unless they threw things or ran. At the new house, they took extreme care to keep our floors clean and avoid dinging any walls. Everything was put in the correct room and all furniture was reassembled. We did not have any damaged property, which was truly amazing. Everyone worked together well and clearly had done many jobs together. They were incredibly professional and personal. We actually had a good time moving, in spite of rain, mud, cold, and the pains of moving in general.

The "loading" team arrived slightly ahead of schedule for the pick up and finished the move to DC in the estimated time frame. The "loading" team was professional and courteous, and did a good job moving a large dining table and chairs and a two piece cabinet into our house in DC. The Delaware drop off was scheduled for the next day, but the "drop off" team was late, and the rental agent was not able to stay past 5. Majestic was gracious about completing the move on the day afterward at my request so that the rental agent could meet them. The "drop off" team was slightly early on the next day, and my rental agent said they did a good job of moving in furniture and removing the old furniture so that it could be donated. Overall a good move experience.

It was great. They were very responsive. They had a problem with the truck, and they called us in advance to let us know they were going to be a little bit late. The movers were very careful with all of our furniture, nothing was broken. We were happy with our experience with them overall.

Mostly, it went well. The estimate was done in person and was reasonable. I later called back with an addition (the bed) and the estimate only went up slightly. On the day of the move, three guys plus a supervisor/foreman arrived on time and didn't charge any extra when I added on the dresser last minute. The move out went very smoothly, with everything loaded up carefully and quickly. We gave them directions and left to meet them at the apartment we were moving into. They arrived soon after we did. The truck was larger than it needed to be for this move and was a tight fit on the side street where our doors were located, but they managed. I had warned them repeatedly that the move in would be difficult, and then showed them exactly how difficult; narrow stairways, lots of tight turns, low ceilings in a couple of spots, tight doorways. Everything went fine, though, until we got to the TV cabinet. The foreman measured before trying it and told me he was worried that it might not fit. They tried it anyway and about a third of the way up, they said it couldn't go in one piece. So they brought it back down, unwrapped the moving blankets that were taped around it and started disassembling the cabinet. My mistake was, I got distracted with something else, and didn't make sure they re-wrapped the cabinet when they tried going up the stairs again. Of course, they should have thought of doing that themselves, but these things happen. In the end, they got it up there, but there were white paint marks all over the edges and sides of the black-painted-wood cabinet. Luckily, the cabinet is meant to have a slightly worn finish. Using Clorox cleaning wipes (carefully) and my fingernail, I got the paint marks off without damaging the finish enough to be noticeable. Of course, I would have preferred not having to do that and it was a fairly avoidable situation. Also, they didn't put the cabinet back together quite right. I had to do some adjusting and re-assembling to get it back to the solid piece of furniture it was. Overall, I was happy with the job they did, except for that one item. They did apologize and try to clean the paint marks off themselves with a damp cloth. They did everything else fairly well in what was a difficult move-in. Since they didn't permanently damage anything and didn't charge me for the last-minute addition of the dresser, I figure we can call it even. Yes, I would use them again, though I would watch them more carefully and be sure that everything was properly wrapped.

There were three movers. Only one of which was efficient. The other two movers were inexperienced, inefficient, and slow. The job was unbelievably slow. It was the slowest move we have ever experienced. I was disappointed with the way they handled our furniture, they were unfocused and did not use care. We have moved five times with most of the same furniture and have not had any damage or dings. This time we experienced more dings, scuffs and scrapes than the other five moves combined. One of the guys was just doing this as a summer job and wasn't a professional mover.

Overall, I was quite satisfied with the service. I was impressed with how quickly they loaded the truck, and was even more impressed with the care and time they took at unloading and putting everything exactly where I wanted it. I was able to unpack as they unloaded, and they even carried away the empty boxes and discarded wrapping paper so I didn't have to worry about it. My only complaint in the whole experience is related to the packing. The packing crew did not finish the job (they left a sideboard full of china unpacked). The moving crew didn't skip a beat, though, they brought up boxes and wrapping paper and took care of it. Also, the packing crew "wrapped" breakables from my master bathroom in clean clothing out of my closet, which I thought was unacceptable.

They are very efficient and very fast. Sometimes I thought they were too fast but they were okay. I trusted the List and I was very satisfied. I called another company that was priced about the same but they didn't offer a discount. So I went with this company.

Majestic came at the exact time they said they would with three men and completely wrapped all our furniture, mirrors, pictures, a carousel horse and various other items. It took them over 3 1/2 hours to wrap and load the truck. Many of the items were precious antiques, but after observing the wrapping for a short time, my wife was completely satisfied they were being handled more than carefully. The men were fast, efficient and polite. They took only one short break, which was well deserved. They then followed me in their van for an hour and twenty minute ride to Southern Maryland. I could see that they drove safely and conservatively. Upon arrival at the storage facility, they went right to work and the truck was unloaded and things stored in just a little more that half an hour. They careful way in which they wrapped things allowed them to be stored efficiently so that they only took up 2/3 of the space I had rented. There is now plenty of extra storage space, which I can use. They final price was as quoted. I tipped them more than I had planned, but the way they performed as a team, they deserved it. They did not ever suggest that they expected a tip, and they would have probably still smiled and been pleasant if there was none! I can number myself as one of the Angie's List persons who would recommend Majestic to anyone needing their services.

Both, Ovando and his crew of workers, were great. Ovando told us ways we could save money by doing certain things ourselves and where to get boxes/moving supplies at a discount. His guys were very organized and didn't complain once, even when they saw our massive entertainment center that they had to eventually remove the stair rails to get downstairs. There was a question at the end when it came to the amount owed for their services (the on-site worker used a different formula to calculate the rate), but when I questioned it, he immediately contacted Ovando who confirmed the (lower) rate he had estimated. From the moment I called to set up the estimate, to the end when my daughter's crib was set up nice and securely, I had nothing but good experiences with Majestic Moving.

The staff of Majestic Moving & Storage were professional, courteous, and competent throughout. Ovando Thelwell came to my apartment in DC to look at the items that would be moved to NYC and gave a firm estimate. He was courteous and accommodating when I had to change the moving date due to my own error in failing to realize that my apartment building did not allow any moves on Sunday. The moving crew arrived early on moving day and did their job efficiently and in a well-organized manner. The next day, they arrived at the new apartment punctually and unloaded the shipment efficiently, putting all of the items in the rooms where we wanted them. The furniture arrived in excellent shape. I have now completed unpacking everything but self-packed boxes, and was pleased to find that there was virtually no breakage (only one broken wine glass). The only area of improvement would be a more systematic inventory list -- the inventory of boxes was incomplete and the numbering was not entirely sequential. I would recommend Majestic Moving enthusiastically to anyone who is planning a long-distance move.

Ovando came to my studio to give me an estimate, and because he twice had to reschedule, he gave me a 10% discount off the rate of $125/hr. The scheduled move date, two men showed up and carefully wrapped my delicate furniture/appliances, bagged my mattress and box spring, and put my hanging clothes in a wardrobe box (all provided at no additional charge). The move was perfect, and there was not a single scratch on my hardwood floors at the end of it all. They only took two hours, but with the 3-hour minimum I ended up paying $327 (plus a $20 tip).
