Majestic Moving and Storage

Poorly. Movers damaged the hardwood floors of the home I was vacating and I could not get Majestic to respond to my phone calls, emails or certified letter to accept responsibility for what they did. I got a court judgment against them. I would not recommend doing business with them - please note that they do not have a physical Virginia address listed on their website!

Movers damaged the hardwood floors of my home and did not take responsibility. They ghosted me, refusing to respond to emails, phone calls and a certified letter. I recently obtained a court award to require them to pay for repairs. Their website lists only a post office box, not a street address so if you do have an issue with them as I did, good luck getting them to be responsive to you.

We had a scheduled one bedroom apartment move in Washington DC tomorrow (Saturday). This move was from one building to another building about one mile away. We scheduled each buildings elevators and secured a parking permit for the street parking that day for the truck. Majestic called Friday afternoon (day before move) to cancel the move. All kinds of excuses and no help retaining another company to do the move. They really messed us up and did not care about putting us in a very difficult position. DON'T HIRE MAJESTIC MOVERS - UNRELIABLE BUSINESS

Everything went very well. A crew of 3 arrived at the scheduled time and got to work right away. They carefully wrapped furniture and loaded them into the truck. We packed many boxes ourselves and labeled them with destination (room name). This made it easier and saved some time. Wrapping and loading took about 1 HR. The unloading and unpacking took another hr. The crew even helped to disassemble, then reassemble some of the larger pieces of furniture (e.g., bedframes). All in all, a great experience- fast, friendly, careful (no damage!)

We were expecting a team to show up, but they sent only two men.  They were nice, polite, and were both working hard for the first 2-3 hours.  Then one of the guys disappeared for awhile, and the other covered for him by making excuses.  We were not sure what was going on.  We felt badly for the one man who stayed and worked hard the entire time, while his partner was disappearing for whatever reason.  The job ended up taking much longer than it should have and they charged too much for what they did.  We used Majestic years ago and were really impressed, but I think they have gone downhill.  I would not recommend them to anyone.

The two movers, Shaw and Devon, were fast, efficient, careful, and thoroughly professional.  The move took a little more than the three hours I initially contracted for, but not because they were slow.  They worked hard and delivered my items in good condition.  If all of their movers are this good, this is a great company to hire for your move.

Potter services is very professional. Although, there were some scheduling issues do to miscommunication and potential bad weather, their responsiveness was very good. They are professional and know what they are doing. I'd definitely use them again for any large moving job.

Majestic was scheduled for a moving and storage estimate today. However
when I called to re-confirm they were coming I've learned they were not
coming - apparently the estimator was sick. The receptionist said a vm
was left this morning at 8.30 AM but no messages were left at home or
cell phone. When I inquired what phone number they left a message at
they hunged up on me. Terrible!

We can't review Majestic Moving and Storage highly enough.  They were absolutely delightful to work with. To start, they do in home estimates.  In the past, we've always used moving companies who make us estimate how big/heavy our furniture is and we're always wrong so the estimate is always wrong.  Our estimate was reasonable and completely accurate.  They provided a low end and a high end on the estimate to give us a guide of what it would cost if everything ran smoothly and what it would cost if we had a crazy snowy day.
On the day of the move, the team was a little delayed by traffic but they called to let us know. Once they arrived they unloaded our condo quickly - which is challenging because it's on the third floor of a garden style building.  There are no elevators and the staircases aren't very wide. They asked lots of questions about where items were going in the new house and loaded the truck in the order they'd unload it.  It took a little time but when they arrived at the new house, they were able to unload so quickly.  Even with their traffic delay, they finished well within the time estimate and actually below the low end price on the estimate.  
We didn't have a single damaged item in the move.  Honestly, we don't have a single complaint about the service we received.

Our experience with them was fine.  They were excellent.  They responded to all my questions well.  They showed up on time.  They had said that there would be two people for four hours or something like that.  It worked out perfectly.  They were careful.  Their price was good.

Great job packing, loading, unlaoding and placement -the same packers moved the items so they had ownership of everything.  Very professional, experienced and very nice people.  Very helpful in picking up empty boxes later.  I would definietly use Majestic again and highly recommend them.   thank you!

The initial telephone call was smooth and professional.  Kanika Thelwell answers the telephone immediately and provides excellent information and guidance.
The crews have always shown up promptly and gotten right to work.  They are careful and make every effort to avoid scuffing walls with furniture.
The final bills are always accurate as quoted and their prices are very fair and competitive.
I am always confident that Majestic will treat our belongings as if they are theirs.

They do an excellent job. They take care of my furniture and wrap everything up. They also take things apart and put them back together for me. They come on time and follow up with me.  I asked for the same guys the second time, because they did such a great job the first time. They also do storage and take care of my things.  There prices are competitive and they are very accommodating.

We used Majestic Moving two years ago, and things went without a hitch; so we hired them again this time.  What a mistake.  Unlike two years ago when the team showed up with a Majestic Moving truck, this team appeared with a Penske rental - very unprofessional.  The team was amiable enough, but they badly scratched (in several places) the hardwood floor in the master bedroom of the house into which we were moving.  I immediately sent pictures to Majestic Moving and have been calling them for the last two and a half months for compensation.  No success.  The last time I called, I was told that they couldn't find a hardwood floor expert who would come to my home for less than $500, and so they would let me know when they found a cheaper provider.  Of course, I haven't heard a peep from them.  I don't believe we have any recourse for the damage other than to post this negative review on Angie's List.  I believe Majestic was on Angie's List when we hired them two years ago.  Perhaps it's not a coincidence that I have a submit a request for them to be added back - so others can avoid hiring them.

We moved from a 2 bedroom apartment to a single family home about a mile away.  The movers from Majestic Moving and Storage were very professional and showed up early to our apartment.  They were very diligent and courteous and acted very professional in moving us into our new home.  They took care to wrap up our furniture--even the pieces that were relatively old and not of much value.  We would definitely use them again for a future move.
