Majestic Moving and Storage

Poorly. Movers damaged the hardwood floors of the home I was vacating and I could not get Majestic to respond to my phone calls, emails or certified letter to accept responsibility for what they did. I got a court judgment against them. I would not recommend doing business with them - please note that they do not have a physical Virginia address listed on their website!

Movers damaged the hardwood floors of my home and did not take responsibility. They ghosted me, refusing to respond to emails, phone calls and a certified letter. I recently obtained a court award to require them to pay for repairs. Their website lists only a post office box, not a street address so if you do have an issue with them as I did, good luck getting them to be responsive to you.

We had a scheduled one bedroom apartment move in Washington DC tomorrow (Saturday). This move was from one building to another building about one mile away. We scheduled each buildings elevators and secured a parking permit for the street parking that day for the truck. Majestic called Friday afternoon (day before move) to cancel the move. All kinds of excuses and no help retaining another company to do the move. They really messed us up and did not care about putting us in a very difficult position. DON'T HIRE MAJESTIC MOVERS - UNRELIABLE BUSINESS

Everything went very well. A crew of 3 arrived at the scheduled time and got to work right away. They carefully wrapped furniture and loaded them into the truck. We packed many boxes ourselves and labeled them with destination (room name). This made it easier and saved some time. Wrapping and loading took about 1 HR. The unloading and unpacking took another hr. The crew even helped to disassemble, then reassemble some of the larger pieces of furniture (e.g., bedframes). All in all, a great experience- fast, friendly, careful (no damage!)

We were expecting a team to show up, but they sent only two men. They were nice, polite, and were both working hard for the first 2-3 hours. Then one of the guys disappeared for awhile, and the other covered for him by making excuses. We were not sure what was going on. We felt badly for the one man who stayed and worked hard the entire time, while his partner was disappearing for whatever reason. The job ended up taking much longer than it should have and they charged too much for what they did. We used Majestic years ago and were really impressed, but I think they have gone downhill. I would not recommend them to anyone.

The two movers, Shaw and Devon, were fast, efficient, careful, and thoroughly professional. The move took a little more than the three hours I initially contracted for, but not because they were slow. They worked hard and delivered my items in good condition. If all of their movers are this good, this is a great company to hire for your move.

Potter services is very professional. Although, there were some scheduling issues do to miscommunication and potential bad weather, their responsiveness was very good. They are professional and know what they are doing. I'd definitely use them again for any large moving job.

Majestic was scheduled for a moving and storage estimate today. However when I called to re-confirm they were coming I've learned they were not coming - apparently the estimator was sick. The receptionist said a vm was left this morning at 8.30 AM but no messages were left at home or cell phone. When I inquired what phone number they left a message at they hunged up on me. Terrible!

We can't review Majestic Moving and Storage highly enough. They were absolutely delightful to work with. To start, they do in home estimates. In the past, we've always used moving companies who make us estimate how big/heavy our furniture is and we're always wrong so the estimate is always wrong. Our estimate was reasonable and completely accurate. They provided a low end and a high end on the estimate to give us a guide of what it would cost if everything ran smoothly and what it would cost if we had a crazy snowy day. On the day of the move, the team was a little delayed by traffic but they called to let us know. Once they arrived they unloaded our condo quickly - which is challenging because it's on the third floor of a garden style building. There are no elevators and the staircases aren't very wide. They asked lots of questions about where items were going in the new house and loaded the truck in the order they'd unload it. It took a little time but when they arrived at the new house, they were able to unload so quickly. Even with their traffic delay, they finished well within the time estimate and actually below the low end price on the estimate. We didn't have a single damaged item in the move. Honestly, we don't have a single complaint about the service we received.

Our experience with them was fine. They were excellent. They responded to all my questions well. They showed up on time. They had said that there would be two people for four hours or something like that. It worked out perfectly. They were careful. Their price was good.

Great job packing, loading, unlaoding and placement -the same packers moved the items so they had ownership of everything. Very professional, experienced and very nice people. Very helpful in picking up empty boxes later. I would definietly use Majestic again and highly recommend them. thank you!

The initial telephone call was smooth and professional. Kanika Thelwell answers the telephone immediately and provides excellent information and guidance. The crews have always shown up promptly and gotten right to work. They are careful and make every effort to avoid scuffing walls with furniture. The final bills are always accurate as quoted and their prices are very fair and competitive. I am always confident that Majestic will treat our belongings as if they are theirs.

They do an excellent job. They take care of my furniture and wrap everything up. They also take things apart and put them back together for me. They come on time and follow up with me. I asked for the same guys the second time, because they did such a great job the first time. They also do storage and take care of my things. There prices are competitive and they are very accommodating.

We used Majestic Moving two years ago, and things went without a hitch; so we hired them again this time. What a mistake. Unlike two years ago when the team showed up with a Majestic Moving truck, this team appeared with a Penske rental - very unprofessional. The team was amiable enough, but they badly scratched (in several places) the hardwood floor in the master bedroom of the house into which we were moving. I immediately sent pictures to Majestic Moving and have been calling them for the last two and a half months for compensation. No success. The last time I called, I was told that they couldn't find a hardwood floor expert who would come to my home for less than $500, and so they would let me know when they found a cheaper provider. Of course, I haven't heard a peep from them. I don't believe we have any recourse for the damage other than to post this negative review on Angie's List. I believe Majestic was on Angie's List when we hired them two years ago. Perhaps it's not a coincidence that I have a submit a request for them to be added back - so others can avoid hiring them.

We moved from a 2 bedroom apartment to a single family home about a mile away. The movers from Majestic Moving and Storage were very professional and showed up early to our apartment. They were very diligent and courteous and acted very professional in moving us into our new home. They took care to wrap up our furniture--even the pieces that were relatively old and not of much value. We would definitely use them again for a future move.

Working with Majestic Moving & Storage was a fantastic experience. From Kanika always being accessible by email and phone to Ovando coming out to my home to provide me with a free estimate to Jimmy and his crew doing the actual move, I would highly recommend choosing Majestic as your moving company! The price was about where I expected it to be, and a second "pick up" location to grab a couple of extra items did not tack on much to the total cost. It was evident in the way they wrapped up my furniture that Jimmy and his crew cared about what they were doing, which goes a long way! A+++++! Stop reading this review and give them a call! Highly recommend Majestic.

This was the best and easiest move I ever had, thanks in large part to Majestic Moving. From start to finish, everything went perfectly. The estimate was slightly higher than the final price, which is always nice! I hate when I get quoted a low price and then find out after the work is completed that it comes to a much higher price. Majestic guaranteed its estimated price, so I was very comfortable going into the move. In fact, its estimated price was several hundred dollars less than the other quotes I received. The crew arrived promptly and worked quickly and efficiently. They wrapped all of my furniture to ensure no damage. I couldn't have been happier. I didn't have any damage - the first time ever! I highly recommend Majestic!

The estimator arrived on time and provided a written estimate via email quickly. The movers arrived on time. The movers were fast. (I had everything boxed.) While moving out of the townehouse one of the workers broke an indoor spindle along the steps. He tried to fix it with glue and tape. It was obivious this was NOT a solution. I was told to contact the office for someone to come back out to fix. I contacted the office the nest day and emailed pictures. 15 days later and several calls to the office the spindle is NOT fixed. Majestic has not contact me. I continually contact them and is told the person to fix the spindle is not available yet. Majestic please do not make promises you do not intend to keep (ie. contact customers and fix damaged furniture).

The guys were on time, responsible, courteous and very hard working. They were very efficient. The cost was very reasonable and I tipped generously as a happy customer.

The estimator showed up on time and provided a written estimate later that evening. The pricing was almost $2k less than other moving companies for moving and storing of items. The day prior to the move, I had not received a confirmation and had a hard time getting in touch with Majestic. Once I got through, they did tell me I was confirmed for the next day. They called me the morning of the move when they were on their way and gave me an ETA on when they would arrive. The movers were fast, strong and very careful with my items. I have moved numerous times and had the majority of the boxes in the room by the front door so it would be quicker for them to load up. The few large items (mirrors, big pictures, etc.) they boxed up very nicely to provide maximum protection. Deliver of my items was 9 days later. They were a bit late in showing up to deliver but did call me to let me know. One of the movers was young and not careful with my items, while the other 2 did a great job. The young one put numerous marks and gouges on the walls as he was more concerned with rushing than doing a good job. The other 2 movers caught him struggling a couple of times and were quick to help him out to prevent damage. He did drop one of my very expensive dining rooms chairs off the back of the truck damaging it in multiple spots. Fortunately I saw it happen from inside the house because they were not forthcoming in telling me about it. Once I brought it up, they said they had a furniture place that could fix it at no charge. They took the chair there and delivered it back. It took several weeks for it to be fixed, but looked good once they were done. All in all, it was a decent experience. Two things I would have like to see from Majestic: 1. Call me the day before to confirm they will be arriving. While I can call them, there is so much going on with moving, confirming with the moving company is one more thing for me to remember. 2. Own up to damaging furniture. They were going to leave without telling me about the damaged chair. Everyone makes mistakes, just own up to it and tell me how you are going to fix it.

Great experience. They were punctual, careful, friendly helpful and reliable. Price was competitive. Would use them again without hesitation.

They did a fantastic job. There were two separate crews and both of them were great.

They have been wonderful. They are storing our items until we find a permanent residence. They have been great to deal with.
