I have an older house in a historic district. During the installation the inspector came by and ended up filing a complaint as the windows were vinyl, not wooden. It ended up that they had to take out the vinyl and installed the wooden windows. They did good work, despite the hold ups and complications, and I have no complaint with them.
Description of Work: I bought storm windows from this company.

Richard Webber of Long & Foster was my buyer?s agent for the townhouse I recently purchased. His performance on this transaction could not have been more unprofessional. Richard did not file basic paper work in a timely fashion. In fact, he filed some of the paper work not until the day before closing, paper work he had for a couple of weeks. The mortgage company, the settlement company, and I needed this to be done timely. The week leading up to the closing he was basically totally unprepared for the closing. So unprepared that he blamed everyone else; the mortgage company, the settlement company, and myself for tasks he should have performed. Instead he should have just admitted to the mistakes and corrected them. As is in most cases it?s never the crime, it?s always the cover up. To top it off, he told me two hours before the closing he would be at the closing and he did not even show up. No notice what so ever. Since he did not show up to the closing he left the keys to the home at the front door of my new home, at the very least he could have had them couriered to me. Lastly, after the walk through before the closing he forgot to lock the back door and when I picked up my keys at my front door that night the backdoor was wide open. I explained these problems to his Alexandria office manager, Bill Jourdan, the week of the closing who acted flippantly on the phone. After the closing he called and only cared if the closing actually happened never apologizing for the clear mistakes. Both buyer and seller are paying for the transaction costs of the home as it is factored in the cost of the home: this is the case with any business. Needless to say, it was not money well spent for me. My settlement company and mortgage company were not tied to Long & Foster in anyway. Both the settlement company and the mortgage company performed great during this entire transaction. They were both timely and professional.
Description of Work: Richard Webber of the Long & Foster Alexandria office was my buying agent. Bill Jourdan was the broker/office manager for the Alexandria Long & Foster office. Richard Webber nor Long & Foster found the house I bought. I found it myself.
