Locksmith Service Arlington VA

I called to get pricing. The receptionist told me it would cost $29 for the service call, $19 and up to re-key each lock. I made an appt, the guy showed up 45 min late. He arrived and without looking at the locks to be re-keyed, told me the price was $35 to re-key each lock and an ADDITIONAL $90 for labor (tried to convince me that it's more difficult, etc so he has to charge more--odd since he never even saw the lock to be re-keyed) so now my total price is $175. I told him what the woman quoted me on the phone. He started babbling about how they (whomever answered the phone) just eats pizza all day and doesn't work. I don't see how this is relevant at all to the price he's giving me. I told him that it's ridiculous that whatever they tell potential customers is a lie and it's basically a bait-n-switch scenario. After having waited for him for 45 minutes past our appt time and knowing that I couldn't get another locksmith to come out, I had to suck it up and pay the made up price he gave me. He re-keyed the lock and for one of the locks, gave me what looked like old, used keys. I asked him why the key is old. His reply was that I could get a new copy made. Shouldn't the keys be new?? The locks were changed, the old/new keys work but I felt ripped off. Had the women been honest/upfront about the pricing, that would've been fine (I could've made an educated decision and went with another company) but I feel like this company quotes you lower prices only to have the technician show up (after you've adjusted your schedule) and just makes up a price on the spot. I question whether someone else has the same keyed lock (I've never heard of getting old keys for a newly re-keyed lock). I'll be changing my locks again to be safe and will not use this company.
