Very responsive, prompt, honest, and quality work. From start to finish was a very smooth process. The individual who actually performed our fireplace and hearth retiling, Fernando, was fantastic. He was prompt and clearly detailed oriented with his work. The process was reasonable and less than other estimates I received. Would highly recommend.

After reviewing the work and quotes from around a dozen builders, we moved forward on a major home renovation in North Arlington with Enhanced. We are lucky we did. Ryan and his team are the most fair, honest, responsive, and likeable builders out there. As a detail-oriented person, I find great comfort in the fact that they consistently do quality work and always strive to get things done on time. They also roll with the inevitable punches that come up with any construction job with as little stress on their clients as possible. Indeed, they routinely lowered our stress with their efficient handling of unforeseen issues related to our home renovation. (They even handled 2 emergency repairs at our temporary rental which needed VERY QUICK turn around after I called them in a panic.) If you are considering building, remodeling, or repairing a home, I cannot recommend a builder more highly than Enhanced. P.S. I kept editing this review several times because I worried that people would think Ryan and his staff wrote it. But, like Han Solo said about the Force, "it's all true."

A crew of four, with one team leader (Karl), installed all the supporting superstructure and wiring for the 18 large solar panels in one day. Two of the men were obviously day labor, but Karl had everyone working together for the complicated set of operations necessary to get these panels securely mounted and wired. Karl paid special attention to making sure that the panels were lined up so that their appearance was as attractive as possible, and so that the wiring was almost invisible. This was not easy, especially given the wiring requirements and the geometry of the roof. I had to leave for a meeting before they had mounted the panels, but when I returned not only was the job done perfectly, but there was a note with detailed notes for the prime contractor. I am very impressed with this company.

The job went well. Because the job could not be completely defined, they gave me a first estimate which assumed there was minimal tear out. Mike was easy to work with and responsive and Jerry was very patient and meticulous .After they removed the siding and window aluminum wrap, they verified that the window aluminum trim was incorrectly installed and poorly caulked, so there was wood rot around the window frame that could not be seen from outside inspection. Also, one of the major 2X8 pieces of lumber, framing the upper windows and spanning the entire width of the sunroom was partially rotted. . As a result, they gave me an updated estimate to remove and replace the 2X8. Our major concern was breaking the the glass while tearing out and replacing the 2X8 underneath them. They performed the work very cautiously, and as a further precaution, installed ice dam material used for roofing, around the windows and exterior plywood, before reinstalling the siding. They also redesigned how they installed the window trim installation, so the water would run off better and there were fewer seams that had to be caulked
Description of Work: Water was coming into my sunroom near one of the upper windows. I needed someone to find out where the water was coming in, verify what internal wood rot or mildew existed, replace any rotten wood and reassemble the siding and window trime. Some companies I contacted were not interested because the scope of the job could not be determined and multiple trades were involved. Most remodelers are interested in new builds, not repairs of something they did not build in the first place. Some carpenters or siding/window companies also declined.

Enhanced Roofing and Remodeling built a bay window in my small condo in 2008 that involved installing 4 windows I had purchased elsewhere. I found Enhanced on Angie's List and had them do this work because the original window installers discovered the old bay window was damaged and couldn't support the new windows. The short version: Enhanced was easy to work with in 2008 and the end product seemed fine. But when I uncovered workmanship problems in 2013, Enhanced was difficult to reach (and I'm a repeat client), disorganized, and incorrectly diagnosed the source of a water leak. I paid to have Enhanced's work redone by another contractor and would not feel comfortable with their work even if they had been willing to make the repairs themselves. The long version: In 2008, I thought Enhanced did a fine job with the bay window construction. They were friendly and the quality of the work seemed fine. Fast forward to March 2013, a little more than 4 years after the original job. In vacating the condo to make way for tenants I noticed significant water damage on the bay windowsill (I will attach pictures if permitted by Angie's List). Without any particular expectations, I tried to contact Mike and Ryan at Enhanced to ask them to take a look. It required several phone calls and polite voicemails over a number of days before Mike eventually called me back to say they were too busy to look at the damage for at least a few weeks, but he would contact me to set up a time. Several weeks went by without a callback, but I finally reached Mike again in May 2013 and arranged a visit for May 24th. Because I no longer live in the condo and because Mike's schedule was in flux, we agreed Mike would call me en route to let me know the meeting time. Instead, Mike misplaced my contact information and went to the condo without me, where my tenants were home and allowed him to look at the water damage. After not hearing from Mike, I called him and discovered he had already made his visit. Mike confidently insisted the water was entering through the wall from above and not from outside the bay window - which is to say, not due to Enhanced's construction work. I visited the upstairs condo unit and verified there were no signs of water leakage from above. The condo property manager then inspected the outside of the bay window and reported the caulking was poorly done. Mike's evaluation of the water leak seemed clearly erroneous, though I'm not sure whether it was intentional (to avoid the obligation to make repairs) or from lack of expertise. Neither option was comforting, and due to the difficulty of dealing with Enhanced and the apparently poor quality of the original work, I opted not to push Enhanced to make repairs. To be clear, I did not make any request for free or discounted repairs in my follow-up conversations; based on my earlier positive experience I intended to use Enhanced for the follow-up work if the repairs weren't the result of poor workmanship. Instead, I took my business to a different contractor, who also confirmed the poor caulking from Enhanced's original construction work was the cause of the water leak. I would not recommend Enhanced Roofing and Remodeling.

I am sorry to hear that you feel we did a poor job. However, you even stated, this was 5 years after the installation. Caulk easily could have been worn away after 5 years. We do our very best to provide responsive and reliable service along with quality workmanship.
We have been very pleased with their work. There were a few things they had to come back and redo and they did those things as quickly as possible. They were not issues from them working incorrectly or poorly, it was more simple adjustments that needed to be made. They were very responsive and pleasant. Each day they left, they made sure we were happy and pleased. They were also very friendly and easy to work with. We would call them back and we would recommend them.

We get complements on our addition all the time. The kitchen is amazing. Ryan helped us with the design and we ended up getting exactly what we wanted. We were very happy that the job was completed much faster than predicted. We noticed other homes in the neighborhood with projects that started around the same time as we did had work going on for months after our addition was complete. Ryan did come back to fix any problems we had after the job was done. recommend communicating often with both Ryan and the team on site as things change throughout your job - and they will change without doubt.

Contacted firm to repair leak in upstairs hall that appeared to line up with roof vent at peak. They responded with quote in a couple days. They proposed removing existing roof vent and reinstalling with correction around where is was attached to the roof. Accepted quote and work was completed in a day or so. We did not have rain for several weeks after work and then noticed that it appeared that leak was not fixed. They came out again and it appeared leak was fixed but I then noticed a new leak. It took four times for them to, I hope, finally correct the old and new leak. I now have a hole and stain in the middle of master bedroom. At no point during this effort did they offer to repair the leak damage caused by their work. However they were very concerned about getting a bad eval on Angies List from me. After the first work was done and prior to testing the repairs by undergoing a rain shower. I arranged an appointment to talk to the firm about a kitchen and bath remodeling job. They missed the appointment and did not respond to phone calls while I was at home from work awaiting to hear from them. I heard later that evening by email that they had the right time, right day but wrong week. Forgetting that large job I instead asked them for a quote to repair a side railing. I asked three times and never received a quote despite assurances that they had visited, taken pictures and such. Customer Report on Vendor Attempt to Correct Problem It Caused The above was a response to my earlier report on their performance. First of all in regard to the difficulty in finding a leak, they caused the leak that I am struggling with at this point when they "repaired" the roof vent. There was no leak in the area there currently is before they arrived. I am sorry they are incompetent and had to come out numerous times to be ineffectual. I did call out Shiner Roofing and they pointed out that either they could replace the whole roof vent or we could have someone install the roof vent end caps which evidently the previous vendor had either removed and not replaced or had not noticed that they were missing. This was a simple thing to do but for them to come out for such a simple task would be $600 minimum. Since I had already demanded a refund from the vendor, they at no time offered, and supposedly they had put it in the mail, I decided to strike a deal. Replace the roof vent caps and be on your way. But I wanted pictures of the work. They accepted this arrangement. After a week I heard a banging on my outside porch at about 8PM in Nov. It was two of their workers in the pitch dark trying to replace the roof vent caps. They came down and said they had done the job and had pictures which they would email. Two days later they called to say they had mistakenly erased the pictures (they probably went to the same place the supposed refund check that they had put in the mail went). I would not have gone out of my way to write this note if I had not just experienced another leak with today's rains (March 6th) and then read the baloney the company wrote above to the earlier complaint. I don't think they really did replace the caps or caused another problem when they did it at night in the dark.

Wow, I can't believe this customer. Sometimes roof leaks can be elusive and difficult to find. We continued to visit the home in an attempt to find the leaks. We literally went to the home 5-6-7 times. We even proceeded to offer a full refund. Of course we expressed concern over a negative review. I just can't believe this home owner left this review. We did everything to try and remedy the situation. The home owner then called out Shiner Roofing who wanted a large sum of money for a minor repair. He called us back out and we fixed the roof in another location, again, for free. Things ended on a good note. We truly pride ourselves on quality, timely and affordable repairs.
Initially they shoveled off the snow and gave me an estimate, the whole roof was coming apart. They were very good and I don't remember the price, but it was reasonable. They tried to do the work for the amount that my insurance company would pay. I ended up having a problem with a gutter that happened after the insurance adjuster had come, so it wasn't figured into the reimbursement. They were punctual and courteous, they got their job done and did good work. I had to call him once, but he was very apologetic and still got everything done. The same person who did the initial snow removal also did the repair to the roof.

From the snowstorm beginning on February 9, 2010, we received approximately 40 inches of snow. The slowly melting snow caused water to leak into four rooms of our home. Another company was providing cleanup, dehydration and drying services. Our insurance company was eager to get their expensive equipment removed from our home. I explained that about 30 inches of snow and melting ice remained on our roof and that as long as it took to melt we would need to continue the other company's work. The insurance agent suggested that we hire someone to clear the snow off the roof and suggested we contact a roofing company. Using Angie's List we identified several local roofing companies who said they did ice and snow removal. It was about 8:00 in the evening when I called Enhanced R&R. Ryan promptly returned my call and when I explained what we needed, he said that he was calling on his cell phone from a customer's roof where his crew was removing snow. He said he could not do ours that night because it was no longer safe, but would do ours in the early morning. He arrived with his crew at about 8:00 in the morning and efficiently removed the snow from our entire roof, checked the condition of the roof, and cleaned the fallen snow from our deck, patio and driveway.

They responded in about a day or two and we set up an estimate for the next day. Two very nice gentlemen came and took a look at the damage in our kitchen and guest bedroom and also looked at the source of the water coming into the house. We were very interested in getting an estimate from them because the guys were professional, very nice, and we were interested in fixing what caused the damage. We were told that they would e-mail us the next day with the estimate. After waiting two days, I called the number on Angie's list to ask for the estimate. We were expecting it to be higher than the other estimates we got since no one else offered to look into the cause of the water flowing into the house. We called again two days later, having not seen anything in our e-mail. After waiting four days, we decided to use another contractor. We were very disappointed.

I found that my ceiling was leaking in the sunroom around 7:45 am, I called Enhanced Roofing and Remodeling and got someone on the phone immediately. He said Ryan was in the field and would call me back in a few minutes, which he.did. Ryan gave me an estimate over the phone when I told him the dimension of the room. He arrived on time (within 30 minutes) with another crew member. They climbed the roof and started removing the snow, uncovering the shoddy roofing. He sent me a picture of the roof, and an estimate within a couple of hours. I left payment with him because I had to rush off to work. When I returned later that night, the roof was clean, and the sun room was dry. I can't really do a price comparison since I didn't shop around. However, they were courteous, on-time, and responsive. Ryan spent sometime going over what was wrong with the roof, and how it should be fixed.
Description of Work: Ryan and one of his crew members removed snow that was melting on my flat roof over my sunroom. The melting snow was causing a leak inside the sunroom. Ryan also found that my roof had been poorly fixated, and was basically coming apart. He also provided an estimate for the repairs that would be needed.

Work started on a Saturday within 24 hours of being provided an estimate. Excellent quality of tile work. Very efficient.
Description of Work: Moved refrigerator from kitchen to dining room. Removed all layers of existing flooring (original tile, linoleum and adhesive squares). Cleaned and prepped concrete floor. Installed tile on 45 degree angle with mortar/thinset. Cleaned thoroughly and prepped for grout. Grouted tile and cleaned thoroughly. Removed all debris.
Enhanced Roofing and Remodeling took our small double galley kitchen and an adjoining room and merged them into one sweet kitchen. The enhanced crew was very pleasant to be around and they adjusted with ease when we made modifications to the design. When we not completely satisfied with some of the finish work on the paint and drywall, a crew was sent to get the job done to meet our standards.
Description of Work: Enlarged and completely remodeled our kitchen.
Positives: - Enhanced provided us with a detailed estimate within 24 hours that enabled us to see how much we were spending on what, and where could make cuts/enhancements. Ryan also worked with us to ensure we didn't go over budget, and, when possible, he provided us with coupons, which saved us money on appliances, fixtures, etc. - We got free pointers from Ryan's wife, an interior designer. - Ryan hooked us up with vendors that he knew would give us good deals, and we often paid them directly, so Enhanced wasn't profiting off materials. - We were charged in increments of 25% for labor and paid for materials as we went. This prevented delays and decreased our level of risk. - If there was something I wasn't happy with, Ryan immediately had it corrected. Ryan was very responsive whenever I called or texted him. He was phenomenal to work with. - Price and quality. I found that there were cheaper contractors, but none that I felt could deliver the same results. I'm very happy with my decision to use Enhanced. Negatives: - These guys are builders, not painters. Granted, we chose bold colors, and a different color for each wall, but the lines/edges were sloppy. We also discovered that they used the right color but wrong sheen in some areas, so they will need redoing. Ryan agreed, so he didn't charge us for the painting. - The granite hadn't been sealed after installation. Fortunately, we discovered it before it had been stained. We called Ryan and he came over that night to seal it himself. - Apparently, one of the workers used our patio table to brace something while sawing. This caused minor damage to the table, and while we weren't too worried about it, Ryan was pretty mortified. He gave us a discount on something else as a result. - We've recently discovered a leak that sometimes drips under our sink, but we are working with Ryan and his plumber to rectify this. Although we aren't sure yet, it appears to be a defect in the actual faucet, not the work Enhanced did. Recommendations: I would definitely recommend Enhanced and use them myself in the future. That said, while Ryan has a phenomenal memory, I would recommend providing him your requests in writing, especially if there is something that you are really picky about. With so much money going in different directions at different times, it became difficult to track. While I have record of everything because I paid with checks, I never asked for nor received a receipt. Although, I am sure I would have been given one had I asked. The job took about a month from start to finish. The results were outstanding, and made a huge difference in the overall appearance and utility of our kitchen and dining room. I've recently had friends spend much more for their kitchens, and I honestly don't think they look as nice as mine - nor did they require the structural changes that mine did. Thumbs up for these guys!
Description of Work: We had Enhanced remove two walls (which required some duct work and beam reinforcement, aswell as moving several electrical outlets and a telephone line). We had them install new ceilings, recessed lighting, bar with slate underneath, custom computer nook, cabinets, appliances, faucet/undermount sink, backsplash, and three doors (one of which was custom made, two of which required additional drywall work). While we hadn't planned on anything more, Enhanced discovered that the crawl space under the entire house had no insulation, so they fully insulated that area (which, I must add, must have been a most unpleasant job given the conditions). We also learned that our electrical panel only had 60 amps, and Virginia minimum standard is 120, so we had that replaced and a grounding rod installed. The price I listed above included everything except the appliances. Please note that Enhanced painted the red and white; the rest (stripes, yellow wall, etc) was done by us. I only have the after photos on me at the moment, but will try to include some befores later. FYI, the large kitchen used to be two rooms, and the bar area use to be another wall.
