I noticed Creighton Construction signs around Old Town Alexandria and reached out to Rob regarding several issues with a townhouse, including water infiltration, some exterior repairs and interior repairs / repainting. He advised that he was busy and set a time to meet on June 29th. We met as scheduled, reviewed the work and discussed alternatives. In general I was impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. He committed to having a scope of work and estimate prepared within a few days. Having not heard from Rob by Tuesday, July 17th, I emailed asking for status of the estimate. He replied on Wednesday, July 18th that he had fallen behind with paperwork but would have something by the end of the week. Getting no response by Monday, July 23rd, I sent another email requesting status and asking if this was a project that he had any interest in doing. As of July 27th there was no response so we have decided to look for another contractor.

I selected Creighton Construction after getting recommendations and interviewing four contractors. Overall, the experience was great and I'd highly recommend Creighton. The owner, Rob Douglas, was great to work with and everyone on his crew--the project manager, the tiler, the master carpenter, subs, etc--was professional, courteous, efficient, and took the time to interact with me to make sure things ended up the way I wanted them. I made a lot of changes along the way and everyone was flexible and patient. The bathroom turned out much better than I expected and I thought the price was reasonable for the excellent work that was completed. I'll use Creighton again as I work through my other home projects.

I contacted him but the company only works in the Arlington, Alexandria, and Fairfax areas so it wasn't a good fit for me. He was professional, prompt, and courteous and if he would have done work in my area I would have hired him. I would recommend getting an estimate from this company.
