He was fabulous. I'd use him again in a heartbeat.

Jason responded to my late night weekend SOS email within an hour. The next day, he picked up my laptop from my house and after asking me questions about the information stored on the hard drive, copies of the hard drive and how I used the laptop. He explained what the process would be to resurrect the laptop and the approximate cost. The following day, he returned my now-working laptop, now purged of competing virus software and crap from the internet. For the cost of a basic maintenance package, Jason was able to re-start the laptop, clear it of any operational bugs and made sure my family pictures were safe on the hard drive. My husband and I really appreciated Jason's ability to explain technical issues in a language we could understand and his willingness to offer advice on things like cloud storage and password protection programs. Items that I had always meant to get around to doing but never did. With Jason's help, my family pictures are safely and automatically backed up on cloud service and our on-line data much safer than before his help. Would enthusiastically recommend ClearTech and will be using him for annual maintenance of our home computers.

I have nothing but praise for Jason and Clear Tech Advice. He clearly knows what he is doing, and has helped with several computer related tasks. I have even recommended him to friends and family out of town-- he is so good at what he does that he can often solve the problem by phone! He can do ANYTHING tech related. He was able to synch my garage door opener with my car and he has some very tempting solutions for our problem of having too many remote controls. He also has some great sound system ideas-- I haven't used Jason for this in the past, but I plan to. I will also consult with him before buying our next computer.

After several attempts to set up an appointment, a time was set for a home visit. Owner did arrive at the appointed time and spent a good deal of time talking with me and what our needs were. He left and said he should have an estimate in a day or two. That was the last I ever heard from him. Seems like if he didn't want the work or was too busy, he should just say that up front. Then we can all move on. He came highly recommended from another source, and I really WANTED to like him, but sadly I cannot recommend this firm. On a positive note, there was no charge for the initial consultation. UPDATE: After this review was posted, I received an email from the owner explaining that there had been some family issues and that my proposal had gotten lost in shuffle. I have since found an alternate solution to my initial problem, but I would call Jason again if the need should arise.
