Wendy was a former neighbor, so we turned to her once we began considering a move. A few friends who had worked with her on sales of their own homes praised her work, so we were confident that she was as talented a real estate agent as she had been a great neighbor. She laid out our options and the pros and cons of selling -- and selling then vs. later. After some serious thinking, we decided to sell our townhouse in the Ballston neighborhood of Arlington and asked Wendy to be our agent. She helped us find a top-notch contractor to make some needed repairs and some cosmetic changes, ran an effective open house, drew multiple bids without wasting our time, and worked smartly to get us an awesome deal that met our timeline and exceeded our expectations. In fact, the final price ended up being a record for our community, which impressed all our neighbors and made them almost as happy as it made us. If we had it to do all over again, we wouldn't change a thing.

My husband and I first found Wendy through an online search. We had been living overseas for several years and were looking for a realtor to help up find a rental property upon returning to the U.S. Wendy contacted us quickly and was ready to hit the ground running when we arrived. We were unfamiliar with the DC area and were not at all sure what we we wanted. Wendy was patient and accommodating to our changing wish list. She helped negotiate the rent and was instrumental in preparing the lease agreement according to our wishes. About 8 months later, we decided to buy in the area and returned to Wendy for assistance. She went above and beyond expectation to help us shop for a home, including a marathon house hunting Saturday, during which we requested to view about 15 properties. As first time home buyers, she walked us through the process with the heart or a teacher. She was available to answer our many questions. She responded quickly to our emails, phone calls and texts. Wendy is personable and professional and we will be seeking her services again when the time comes. We highly recommend Wendy and will happily work with her in the future!

Both Wendy Dean and Brian Parker were excellent. They were both very professional and sold my house very quickly. The recommendations they made to improve the the interior of the house were both cost effective and reasonable, and I believe allowed for a better asking price and faster sale. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to sell/buy a house in the DC area. They were very knowledgable about the market conditions. No detail was too small or complicated for them. They also responded and communicated in a timely manner to whatever situation occurred.

A must hire!!! Wendy and Brian were an absolutely outstanding real estate team. Their knowledge of the market and professionalism made them the perfect team to sell my home. As a former General Contractor, Brian assisted me in hiring a contractor and was meticulous about getting the job done. After the open house and after only being on the market for 8 days, I had multiple offers and was under contract. Last week, my husband and I successfully sold our lovely little bay-windowed condo overlooking Rock Creek Park in Georgetown, Washington DC. We can?t speak highly enough about our experience working with Wendy Levenson Dean and Brian Parker of DC Metro Home Sales- Keller Williams Realty. Important background: A few years ago, we attempted to sell with another group and ran into some very difficult legal issues. We no longer lived in the DC area so our condo was rented. As soon as the tenants realized we needed to sell (when our costs became too much to bear) they became the tenants from h***! (This was their second home, commuting from NYC for business.) Although they had no intention of buying, and because they felt ?put out? having to accommodate prospective buyers and their agents, they made every step of the process as nightmarish as possible. Each and every potential buyer eventually walked, and as our price continued to drop from desperation. We stood to lose possibly $100,000. Fast forward: Once we were ready to try again, we did our research and found Wendy and Brian on Angie?s List and the web. Wendy is an attorney with experience in mediation (!) and Brian, years of experience in rehabbing and the construction industry. They team up with trusted building contractors to provide the entire package- real estate, legal, and building experience. We made arrangements to meet at the condo to assess what would be needed to make the place shine, sell quickly, and at a good, fair price. With their experience and keen eye: Some added lighting, deep cleaning, replace some broken window sash cords and locks, fresh caulk and paint. Things we had not noticed. In our (somewhat biased) opinion, the place was in great shape! A buyer sees things differently. Curb appeal. Every dollar put forth was well spent. Mike, the contractor, gave us a reasonable estimate (itemized, in case we didn?t want x, y, or z) and took care of everything. Remember, we live out of state. We didn?t want to have to find our own contractor and come back to DC to oversee the work. We needed honest, intelligent, trustworthy people to do this for us. It could not have gone smoother from start to finish. Wendy, Brian and Mike worked on a schedule, stuck to it, were very careful with our money, and when the work was done and the place was ready to show, it was in contract within a day or two. And, at exactly our asking price. ?Should we take it or hope for a better offer?? Wendy and Brian?s experience put things in perspective so we could make an intelligent decision. We accepted that first offer with the knowledge that if the buyers pushed too hard, attempting to whittle down our price unrealistically or ask for undue remediations, we would simply wait for the next offer. They were in our corner. Experienced, competent, highly intelligent, insightful, a delight to work with, able to see the big picture, with a sense of humor, and were a very calming presence. They have followed up even after closing, with the settlement money, every last detail. We?ve done a lot of real estate transactions through the years and these folks were simply the best. I wish they lived closer to us. We would never go with anyone else.

I had an overall negative experience with this agent. If you are considering a home purchase, I would recommend using a different agent. Throughout each interaction I had with Wendy, I felt that she was excessively pushy. She consistently ?talked over? me, actively dismissing my observations and concerns. She also seemed strangely defensive, and wasted a lot of time talking herself up repeatedly. Overall, it was an unpleasant experience, and I did not trust her or her husband whatsoever throughout each step of the process. Just as one example, during the home inspection Brian actively tried to insert himself between myself and the inspector, either physically or verbally, by cutting me off and speaking over me. I will say that Wendy was able to process the documentation on time, responded promptly and did not drop the ball there (as this was in both of our interests). Look, I know real estate agents are all about closing the deal, but that doesn?t justify bad behavior.

I had wanted to purchase a home for years, but I was procrastinating for many reasons. A friend recommended that I call Wendy and Brian, and I could not be happier that I did so. Wendy walked me through the process, giving me lots of helpful information, and I did not feel any pressure to buy right away. I spent a whole Saturday looking at different townhouses with both Wendy and Brian, and it was great to have two different people?s opinions on what worked and what didn?t. By luck, one of the places that we visited was a townhouse that I really loved. I felt comfortable that it was the right choice after Brian, a former contractor, examined both the exterior and interior and assured me that all the major features (roof, windows, furnace, etc) were in good condition. Then, both Wendy and Brian coached me through the process of putting in an offer and bringing the transaction to a close. It went seamlessly, and they even helped me out post-closing by recommending a handyman and other home improvement resources. I?m so grateful for their help and I give them my highest recommendation.

Wendy and Brian are an excellent team. Wendy knows the market and she is an amazing negotiator. Her background is in law and mediation - skills that transfer over into real estate very well. Brian has years of real estate experience and has worked as a licensed contractor in home renovation. Together, they are the perfect combination. We both bought and sold a house with them, needing to purchase on contingency of sale. They both worked very hard to make that happen for us. Getting the timing just right on the sale/purchase of the house and title issues were difficult - but Wendy easily took care of the situation. As her clients, we were confident in knowing that our best interests were being protected. The entire process with Brian and Wendy was excellent. Their knowledge and experience helped to make the sale/purchase of our homes extremely stress-free and smooth.. We appreciate their honesty, sound advice as well as the hard work they put forth to give their clients the best experience possible.

Wendy and Brian were consummate professionals. They were literally always available to listen and give advice with absolutely zero pressure. I highly recommend to anyone in search of selling or buying a home.

Fantastic! We couldn't have been more happier with the service provided to us. Our realtors were always available to answer our many questions and response time was lightening fast. They took careful consideration of our needs and never wasted our time, only showing us homes within our preferences and price range. It was really nice working with people we could trust. Outstanding! Kathy Fong and her Keller-Williams team were amazing. We were anxious to sell our former residence quickly, for a good profit, and she met our objectives fully. Our house went on the market on 2 August, had a great offer by 6 August, and went to closing on 29 August. Can't beat that!

We recently had the pleasure of working with Wendy and Brian, who helped us buy our place. As first-time homebuyers, we were not familiar with the process of drafting a contract, working through contingencies, coordinating with the title company and bank, and so on. Wendy and Brian helped us through every step of the process and were very patient with all of our questions. One of the first places we looked at ended up being significantly overpriced, and in a testament to their scrupulousness, they advised us that the list price was not supported by the comparables they found, and it was listed at much higher than what they would pay if they were buying the place. Wendy and Brian are also extremely responsive to communications and got back to us promptly every time we wanted to see a property or make an offer on a place. If they ever missed a call from us, they would promptly call back (even if I didn't leave a message) or email. They were also very good about regularly following up with the (quite difficult to reach) listing agent on our behalf. I highly recommend them!

Let's face it. There is a dizzying number of real estate agents in town. We were lucky to have linked up with Wendy Dean Levenson from DC Metro Home Sales, who brought so much skill, professionalism, care and commitment into our successful home search. We had returned to our home on the west coast and communicated with Wendy with a three-hour time difference between us. Though our first home purchase fell through (not for the lack of trying), we remained level-headed with Wendy's guidance, assurance and immediate updates on progress. Shortly thereafter, we found an even better home. We are thrilled with our new home and this has set off a positive tone for our time here. Through it all, we were very glad to have Wendy by our side. This dynamic lady is packed with skills, commitment, hard work that made the difference for us. We trusted her (very important to us), her professional opinion, and we believed that we were in good hands. And she was our advocate who loves challenges! Over the past 45 years we have bought and sold many homes incident to our numerous changing duty stations. For the majority of those transactions the term “Realtor” took on a very negative connotation similar to that of “Used Car Salesmen.” Brian Parker and Wendy Dean have most certainly reversed that impression by their performance in bringing our Arlington house sale to a successful conclusion. Selling a home from 2,000 miles away requires a very high level of continuous communication including immediate feedback on open house events, spurious offers and marketing suggestions. They did a particularly excellent job in that regard. Their in depth knowledge of the Arlington Real Estate Market and the numerous advantages of our homes’ location and amenities was crucial to the successful sale. Their persistence in holding showings during one of Washington’s more difficult winters brought results. Their evaluation of the seriousness and qualifications of offers received proved invaluable. At no point was there ever a discussion of lowering the listed sales price, contrary to any of our other realtor experiences. They made the long distance handling of the onerous closing and settlement documentation almost painless. We have no reservations in highly recommending the team of Brian Parker and Wendy Dean to anyone selling or looking for a home. They really are not Realtors in the classic sense but modern home sales service professionals.

Finding a complete fixer-upper in a very active market is not an easy task. Brian and his team did that for us, and met our hopes for a very particular style of house. Honestly, we are very fortunate to have met and worked with Brian and team. Housing is expensive in the DC Metro. My brother and I knew we would have to be armed with good information and ready to perform some thorough due diligence. Our own knowledge and efforts, coupled with the knowledge and efforts of Brian and his team has resulted in something nearing a dream come true for my brother and I. By the way, I waited to write this review because I wanted to make sure Brian and his team were the real deal. Two months later and a complete gut job of the house and it is now fair to say that they are the real deal.
