Blue Door Painters

The workers arrived and completed the work on time; however within a few weeks I noticed some cracks in the pain, indicating the primer work wasn’t done properly; I was advised by a Mr. Velasquez to call back in the spring; later I was asked to send pictures, which I did; I never received a call back to review the problems despite several attempts. This fall I saw that the bay roof paint is fading, after less than a year. I would not recommend this company for any work.

Very well. Blue Door gave me a detailed written estimate that was considerably cheaper than my other option; they were able to fit me in to the schedule much sooner than I anticipated; they were in and out in one day; and they did a great job. The office folks were also very prompt, honest, and helpful throughout the whole job. I'm a landlord and the tenants were very happy. "The painters did an amazing job! Night and day difference." The price wasn't dirt cheap, but it was fair for the work done. It was as trouble free as these things can be. I've used Blue Door before and I'll use them again.

Blue Door painters did not complete the exterior paint job I contracted them for. I withheld partial payment until Fernando Velasquez and I came to an agreement that they would return to complete job and correct multiple issues such as, paint on windows. However, after I paid my emails and calls were ignored. Blue Door Painters never return to finish the job or correct issues. Issues included: paint on windows; primer but no paint; no second coat; paint on stairwell railing; paint over dirty door although job included power wash. I filed a complaint with Fairfax County in an effort to resolve issues or get a partial refund. Yet again, Blue Door Painters specifically, Fernando Velasquez was not responsive with Fairfax County or myself. I would not recommend this company to anyone. The job was sloppy, unprofessional, and incomplete. Workers came late with no call and do not speak very little to no English. The "face" to the company is not the "face" that shows at the job site. It went great! The 2 employees assigned to my project did a fantastic job. The were polite, professional, prompt and offered to removed the pictures and outlet covers that I did not have time to review. Overall, an A+ job. I will definitely recommend Blue Door to friends/family and will use them again for future services.

Blue Door Painters did an excellent job painting the interior of our house. Fernando, who provider the estimate, arrived right on time and got an estimate to us the next day. It was very thorough and explained all of the options to us clearly. Blue Door Painters also worked with us to coordinate and schedule the painting around several other projects that were underway at our house this winter. They completed the work in 2 days - on both days the painters arrived on time. Both my wife and I had to be at work, but we were very comfortable leaving our house with the painters there. When we returned home after the first day, we were very impressed with how our house looked and the painters had neatly sorted there materials in a designated place. They finished on the second day and they left our house spotless. As for the actual painting - they did excellent work. As of the edges are neat even in the tight corners and the color is uniform and rich. We could not be more pleased with the painting. We would definitely hire Blue Door Painters again.

This is the second time I've used Blue Door and both times have been excellent. They are very responsive and professional from start to finish. The painters they sent were considerate and highly skilled. It looks great.

Jeff and his crew were very knowledgable and helpful. We have an older deck that needed to be cleaned and stained in order to give it a bit of new life. Within a few days of calling Blue Doors, they sent someone out to give us an estimate and quoted us a very reasonable price for the power washing and staining of our back deck. We also had some damaged siding on the rear of our home were the paint was in particularly bad shape. Jeff was able to let us know exactly how they were going to repair the damage, and was able to match the new paint color to the existing paint on the house, making the repair and paint job look as seamless as possible with the rest of the siding. Overall we were very impressed with the quality of work, how quickly the job was performed, and how they had taken care of and worked with us. We would definitely recommend Blue Door Painters and will use them again.

Blue Door was very prompt in responding to our request for an estimate. Theirs was not the lowest price, but it was on the lower end of the spectrum. We had used them before, and were comfortable with the quality of their work. Once we requested that they move forward with the job, they were prompt to get us scheduled. The on-site workers were on-time and courteous. The finished job looks great!

I called twice and never got a person on the line, or even an answering machine. The phone just rings and rings with no pick-up.

They did a great job. Excellent prep work; sanding, patching and glazing some of the windows. They were extremely professional and easy to work with. Always punctual. They also did power washing and exceeded our expectations. We would use them again. They were fantastic!

Prompt, pleasant, very good paint job. Price seemed excellent. Chris, the foreman, was very good to work with. I would definitely use again.

Bruno came and worked hard for more than 8 hours straight doing touch ups in multiple rooms in the house. He was very accommodating and patient while we tried to figure out what the names of the paint colors were so he could go to the paint store and purchase them. One of the colors was incorrect and he went back to the paint store to try and find the right one. I also appreciated that he worked around my two children's nap schedules and was quiet while he worked. Overall, I had a great customer service experience and the quality of the paint work is excellent.

Jeff and his team always over deliver! Amazing attention to detail, they show up on time, clean up and go overboard to make sure that the job is done right. I know many, painters, but none of them seem very consistent, except for Blue Door Painters. Thanks for making my house glow :)

They were very reasonably priced. It actually surprised me how low the price was. It only took 2 days. They called after the job was done; there was one area in the kitchen that they missed, and they came right back out and painted it. They were very responsive.

Blue Door Painters did a great job on the exterior painting of our house. They were responsive with their communications and punctuality. Additionally, they turned around all bids and paperwork in a timely fashion. Their work was good quality and was what we agreed to. We are very satisfied. When they were not able to power wash the brick prior to painting, they had no problem crediting us for the work that was not completed. Overall, I would recommend them to anyone and would hire tham again in the future if needed.

They were good. For the amount of money we spent it turned it nicely but the quality was average. We used a coupon and they said they weren’t going to take the coupon initially because we were late. They had to call management to get the coupon authorized. The manager spoke with us and was awesome about handling the situation. Their prices were inexpensive and they completed the work quickly and came out quickly. I would recommend to anyone using their service that they monitor them and make sure things such as taping off the windows, etc. are completed. The work has been holding up well. I would probably use their services again for our rental property.

They did a good job. They were punctual and clean.

The estimate was fair. They were not as responsive as I would have hoped and did not seem knowledgeable about their policies. I couldn’t pin them down to explain their process on things such as rain delays. I just couldn’t get solid answers from them, including Wendy, for my questions such as with their contract and things such as a senior citizen discount. I also wanted to know how they were gong to to treat the metal railings. I think they’re a reputable company but they didn’t seem to want to have one-on-one in person contact about my issues. I wanted to walk them around personally and show them the specifics of what I am wanting.

They did a good job. We had several estimates and Blue Door was reasonably priced. They missed a few things but they came back and fixed them in a timely manner. We needed to wait a little while for scheduling because they were very busy.

It looks like it will last for another 2-3 years . They were easy to talk to and got the information to me quickly. The only thing I wish would have happened is that I would have seen color samples before it had been applied. I feel that the work was completed in a timely manner and I would recommend their service to others.

Blue Door did a fantastic job. From the first contact with them, they were extremely responsive and accommodating. They answered all my questions and concerns, got back to me quickly, and were very professional. On the day of the service, the contractor arrived right on time, discussed various options with me, and completed the job exactly as expected. He left the house clean and looking like no one had even been there. I'll definitely use Blue Door again in the future for other painting projects.

They were very competitive, the sales rep answered all my questions and they had very skilled painters come out too the unit to paint it. We never ran into any problems.

Crew completed work in 3 days vice the 5 days schedule. Wall paper was completed separately. Results were perfect.
