From the beginning, Louie and his crew were great to work with. Louie came out to measure our floors for a free estimate and turned around a work quote rather quickly (that happened to be the least expensive of three contractors). He gave realistic expectations, didn't overpromise or under deliver. Our floors turned out beautiful, despite some pre-existing water stains. Louie touched base every day that his crew worked on the house. Only after his final inspection did he send an invoice for the remaining balance. Bottom line: bang for buck was awesome. We highly recommend and will definitely be using Beaulieu Floors for our any of future flooring needs.

Louis and his team took care of us very well, were very easy to work with, and did a top notch job. They are very honest and professional.

Beaulieu floors refinished the hardwood floors in our recently purchased duplex on the main and upstairs level. This included removing some ancient stained carpet on the main level and up the stairs. They did a great job and even managed to remove some old stains in the upstairs bedroom that we weren't sure would come out. The floors look great now. They also replaced the carpet in the basement and down the basement stairs. There was a slight snafu in that the carpet ordered wasn't correct (Shaw carpet has the same name for different carpets) but Luis worked to get it corrected in a timely fashion. I had them trim out the stairs with shoe molding to cover some settling, and Luis threw that in for free for the inconvenience. Overall, it was a great experience and I've recommended Beaulieu floors to a neighbor and coworker who are interested in having their floors refinished.

At every point during the service time, he was available to answer questions, emails, texts and handle any issues that came up. I found his company to be very professional through the entire job, knowledgeable about refinishing floors and installation of carpet. He was extremely helpful in making decisions on selection of floor stain for refinishing 60 year old hardwood flooring and our new carpet selection. This firm was very competitive on pricing and followed up with timely completion of services. I would use this company again and I would highly recommend Beaulifeu Floors, Inc. Truly Mr Beaulieu cared about assisting and preparing our house to go on the market for sale and the quality of his workmanship was outstanding.

The owner of the company, Louis Beaulieu, was very responsive from the first phone call to the final text. He answered all our questions quickly and thoroughly. He helped us choose the right stain and the right finish. His team of refinishers did an excellent job. Our floors were in very bad shape and now they look new. The bannisters and hand rails are beautiful. His team arrived on time. They worked quickly and did a great job. They were very neat and kept dust to a minimum. They were very careful to hang plastic to keep dust out of unaffected spaces. They had to replace some floor boards and they did a beautiful job. I would highly recommend this company. They were a pleasure to deal with from start to finish.

Louis Beaulieu was responsive, prompt and professional in refinishing the floors on two levels of a 1950s townhouse. He did a fine job of turning these old, beat, red-oak floors into something really nice. Louis and crew did a great job, without the least hassle, down to the finishing touches and clean-up. I highly recommend them.

Our experience with BEAULIEU FLOORS INC was great. Louis was very quick to set up an initial appointment to review the work that needed to be done, the tiles were ordered quickly and we were kept up on where we were in the process. Once the tiles came in the work started very quickly. The team that was working was nice and professional, they got the job done quickly and the end results looks really wonderful. We also have a follow up with Louis today regarding a review of the work and to chat about grout sealing. I would definitely recommend BEAULIEU FLOORS INC, it's hard to find a company where you can trust that the job will be done in a timely manner and in good quality, but that wasn't ever an issue!

I wasn't certain what color I wanted to stain my floors and they provided me with several options to look at. Also, I wasn't sure I wanted to refinish the entire level and they provided different options and ways for doing part of the level when other companies said it couldn't be done.

I checked out all Louis's samples. Unfortunately, my wife had her on a pattern and brand he did not carry. Louis found the pattern on line and ordered it before I even had to pay a dime. I paid 1/2 down. Then, my wife and I decided to move the furniture ourselves to save a few Dollars. Boy was that a mistake. We are still sore from that!! Yet Louis made it worth our while. He had just come off a big job and had some premium quality backing on hand, just enough to do our room, so it was wash. We got the premium stuff and didn't have to pay a penny over the bid. By the way, Louis big came in lowest of three bids. He does have to deal with overhead.. so it was a little more difficult getting in touch with him because he doesn't have answering service. . .. but I like that, because I also got to talk directly to the owner. BTW. . . .had I used his correct e-mail to begin with, if would not have had any problem getting a hold of him. The Job was fantastic. after completion. I mentioned a couple of minor things . . . . anomalies having to do with the config of my room. Louis was there the next morning to fix them. The installers were great. I came up to check on them once, and the installer was so focused on getting it right, he didn't even know I was there. I dare you to try to find the seam in this rug. These guys are an amazing team!!!!!

The work was done very professionally, and the floor looks great. We had good advice from Louis Beaulieu about how the floor should be done, the best color to match our existing wood floors, and what type wood to select. It was a prefinished, floating floor, installed over concrete. The installers did a very good job and everything worked our very well, with no problems at all. The floor is beautiful!

Very easy to work with. Louis Beaulieu helped me choose a finish, and had great suggestions for keeping it in line with the rest of the house. The crew was on time and responsive, and my floors look great.

Repair and refinishing of hardwood flooring is a difficult specialty to find - nearly impossible for small jobs. Most "all service firms" - or at least the ones we contacted -won't touch hardwood flooring because it's too easy to mess them up. Louie was very apologetic that his schedule wouldn't allow the work to be completed in time for other work we already had scheduled in the house and he even called back a few days later - again apologizing for not being able to help, hoping that we had been able to locate someone. Fortunately we had (separate review), but I wanted to take a moment to compliment Louie for his remarkable professionalism and customer focus. The work provided by the firm that was available was excellent. Should I ever need hardwood floor work done in the future, the dilemma will be which of the two to choose.

Louie's team did excellent work. Louis met me at the end of the first day (after the team had started sanding) to help select stain colors. Unfortunately the team didn't have the color I wanted (brief miscommunication) and agreed to delay work one day to sample colors the following evening. Once a color was selected, the team worked quickly to complete the job on schedule. The end result was absolutely beautiful and have already received a number of positive comments on the team's work. Although the price was about 100 or 200 more than other bids, I would certainly use Beaulieu Floors again! Thanks to the team for such excellent work!

Louis, the owner, came to our home on short notice, evaluated the job, made suggestions as to the type polyurethane to use - oil- or water-based. We went with oil-based since it was convenient for us to be away from the house for a couple of days while it dried. He quoted a price which was on the low end of the three quotes we received. The owner was very good about staying in touch with us and was easy to reach via cell phone. He inspired our trust and that trust turned out to be justified. The finished floors were beautiful and the tint of the stain was precisely what we had agreed on. It's been a year and the floors look like they were done yesterday.

Louie Beaulieu, owner of Beaulieu flooring, already had done a magnificent job of refinishing all the floors in my mother's home when her home was put up for sale in 2011. Even at that time, visitors to the open house commented to me personally on the beauty of the floors and wanted to know who had done the work. I know of at least one instance where Beaulieu refinished the floors of neighbors to my parents and they were very pleased. There was no question that when it came time to refinish our own floors, that we would call on Louie. Louie is a very gracious and fine person who is at the same time extremely professional in all of his dealings with us. He adheres to very high standards in everything he does. Those who work for him are also highly professional, very courteous, as patient as possible and continue to apply themselves diligently throughout their work day in your home. The finished product is of course beautiful, beautiful flooring. It makes a big difference that this final highly skilled product was arrived at with such professionalism and care. We were thoroughly pleased with the job Beaulieu Floors Inc. completed at our home. From start to finish Louis and his team provided excellent customer service and demonstrated excellent craftsmanship and a passion for their business. At our first consultation Louis was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about wood flooring/stain. He was extremely thorough when describing all scenarios that are involved when refinishing a wood floor in a home like ours. He was also up front with all pricing so that there were no surprises when the final bill arrived. All appointments were met and were on time leaving us very satisfied. In addition, they were extremely accommodating with our schedule and flexible when need be. Even though our floors are complete, their attention to customer service did not end there. Louis even visited our home to "touch-up" an issue that happened when our cable guy accidently dropped something on our floor leaving some scratches. We would highly recommend Beaulieu Floors Inc. to anyone! They are competitively priced and their above and beyond customer service puts them ahead of the rest!

AWESOME!!! Louis and his team did a fantastic job. He was very courteous and patient throughout the decision-making process for the tile and stain for the wood floors, and was flexible in working with another contractor who was remodeling our bathrooms. Before the final walkthrough, he came by to seal the grout--an unexpected surprise. The wood floors were the original floors in the house. The original owners had thrown carpet and padding on top of them, so they were in great condition when we pulled up the carpeting. The floors quickly became one of our favorite aspects of the house after we bought it, so we wanted to preserve the character. When all other contractors were recommending we rip up the old wood flooring for new, Louis understood what we wanted and delivered the goods! Bottom line: our floors look amazing and are the favorite part of the remodel project. We will definitely come back to Louis Beaulieu for all our flooring needs!

Louis is always responsive and easy to get a hold of for an estimate. For the hardwood refinishing, they were able to schedule the work before we moved into the home, and the difference in the way the floors looked before and after refinishing is amazing. They did a really nice job on the floors, cleaned up after themselves, and got the job done on time before our scheduled move-in date. Beaulieu did an exceptional job on the parquet floor in our condo. Before we bought the place, the walls had been spraypainted, leaving a paint mist on the perimeter the rooms, and it was also covered with poor quality carpet. When we removed the carpet, we realized the parquet was a mess of paint and scratches with some water damage around the climate-control unit. Louis's team removed the paint without further damaging the floor, did an excellent job replacing/matching the water-damaged parquet tiles, and refinishing the floor. We had another company schedule to do the work and then not show up twice and refuse to work in our building because they said their sanders would not work with the older electrical system, and so it was refreshing to have Louis's crew show up on time and have no issues getting the job done. We would happily call Louis again if we needed additional flooring work done.

Overall, I am pleased with the floor and am very happy I had the work done, but there were some things I learned along the way, that I would do differently next time. Louis Beaulieu is a very kind, professional and courteous man and he showed a lot of patience in answering a multitude of questions I had and helping me to decide what type of flooring to install. My home is approx. 75 years old, and it has settled a lot over the years. Plus, the rough pine plank subflooring was pretty beat up and had lots of gaps and uneven spots. So, I struggled deciding on laminate vs hardwood, and floated floor vs nailed down. Louis seemed to have the most sensible suggestions, was the middle price-wise of the 3 quotes I got, and he assured me that his crew could handle installing nailed-down solid hardwood (which was my preference), even in my cranky old house. I chose a natural red oak from Somerset, in a 3 1/4" width. I absolutely LOVE the wood (I'll add a photo soon). It's stunning. It replaced shabby carpet (which I removed myself ahead of time, along with a particle board subfloor). I think Louis really steered me right in choosing this manufacturer (Somerset Color Collection). The installation, unfortunately, did not go as well as I'd hoped. Overall it came out fine, but there were a few problems that I had to address with Louis afterwards: - some of the boards had surface cracks from the installation (several of which are in the major traffic areas, so they're visible) - some of the board ends are chipped and frayed, and I don't know if they came out of the box that way or if it happened during installation To be fair, my floor is anything but level structurally, and it humps up along the center "spine" of the house. So the installation crew did the best they could - I believe that's why there were some cracks. As for the fraying, it's possible that Louis explained this to me ahead of time but I don't recall - this often happens when you install pre-finished wood. The advantage of pre-finished is a cost savings because you don't have to have the raw wood sanded, stained and coated after installation, but the downsides are these minor flubs, frays, cracks and unevenness. If I ever need to have the floor refinished, a good sanding will make everything perfect and smooth. So keep that in mind if you're purchasing pre-finished wood, and expect these minor imperfections. Now, if the flooring were the end of the story, I'd give a rating of A- overall. The reason for the B overall and C on quality is because the crew did not do a very good job in making adjustments to doors and closets. The floor's level came up about 1/4 to 1/2 inch, so some of my bifold closet doors were rubbing I guess, so the guys did some ad hoc carpentry work to shave off a bit, and frankly they didn't do a very good job. One door wouldn't close (the painters who came later kindly fixed that for me), and one door they shaved very unevenly - something I only recently noticed, as I usually keep that door open (photo forthcoming). They also messed up a closet so that the shelf was too close to the bar and I wouldn't have been able to hang any clothes on the bar! They came back and fixed that one. The upshot is that I wouldn't call these guys master carpenters. They did do a lovely job replacing all the base and shoe molding except for one spot where I had to coach them how to make it look better finished, but the door and closet adjustments were amateurish. I would have greatly preferred it if they had alerted Louis that the door fixes were out of their league, and Louis could have brought someone more skilled in to address it. We did the math ahead of time and knew the floor would be coming up a bit, so it should have been anticipated and the extra cost to fix the doors should have been built into the price. I think the bottom line is there's a disconnect between what Louis offers and what his guys can do. It might have been better if his crew chief had seen my house during the estimation phase and weighed in on the difficulties. I do believe that if this company were installing a floor in a more standard, newer home with level floors, they would do an outstanding job. My house was challenging. If I had to do it again or were giving advice, I'd say 1) be aware of the pre-finished wood issues; 2) inspect the wood as it comes out of the box and select out any planks with defects you can't live with, or ask them to use those planks in closets or out of the way spots; 3) be sure to think about things like the height of the floor and be sure the crew is prepared to handle adjustments to doors and closets.

The guys arrived promptly on every single day. It turned out that the reddish stain I have in the rest of my house is very difficult to match but the team just re-sanded and re-stained until we got to the closest possible match. I also particularly appreciated the team's flexibility in working around my availability to get the work done in the quickest possible time. A very professional and courteous team all round. A company I would definitely use again.
