Our technician, Dewy was very professional and friendly. He did a great job and if we ever have issues with our doors again he will be the first person we call.

Both the dispatcher and locksmith (Chris) were super responsive, accommodating, and conscientious. No one hopes to find themselves in this predicament but, if it's going to happen, Baldino's was the silver lining and I would not hesitate to contact them again should I find myself in need of assistance again!
Description of Work: Found myself in need of emergency lockout assistance on a Saturday afternoon.

We made an appointment, they showed up, and everything was fine. It was a very simple solution; I was afraid it might be worse but it didn't. It seemed like their business has been around for a while and they have a lot of experience. I didn't feel that the price they charged was ridiculously out of line. I thought their service was good. They didn't try to charge me for something that didn't need to be done.
Description of Work: We needed to have a space drilled for the deadbolt to fit into the door frame.

Several knob and cylinders were brought into the store to have them re-key to my master key. With other locksmiths in the area I have had problems with the key turning the locks smoothly due to the pins in the cylinders not properly done. Each time Baldino Locksmith performed the work perfectly. Price is very expensive to re-key.
Description of Work: I had several knob and deadbolt cylinders re-keyed to my master key. I brought these cylinders to their store in Arlington, VA

My experience with them was excellent. The guy was very professional and friendly. They are not the cheapest guys in town but the quality of their work was excellent. You get what you pay for. Price wise I would have got it cheaper but it would have been a lesser product. I say I paid the fair market price. I will use them again.
Description of Work: I used Baldino's Lock & Key in November to replace all the locks in my house also the door knobs. They did 3 exterior doors.

We hired Baldino's Lock and Key to replace the doorknobs with locks and deadbolts on three exterior doors of our newly purchased house in 2009. The doorknobs came off and the deadbolts would not work within days, yet we had paid Baldino's over $900 for just three doorknobs and three deadbolts. We called Baldino's and they came to and quot;repairand quot; the doorknobs and deadbolts, but just after their stingy ninety day warranty on their services expired, one of the doorknobs came off entirely, and the front doorknob and deadbolt stopped working so you could not open the door. But Baldino's would only come back if we paid them another $160 ($108 for the and quot;service calland quot; plus $52 for a minimum half hour of labor.) We put the side doorknob back together ourselves. But in March, 2011, we rented the house, and had to fix the non-working locks, so we paid Baldino's $160 to fix the doorknobs and locks. By July, 2011, they had broken again, just outside the Baldino ninety day warranty period. When we asked what Baldino's would charge us to repair or replace the by now obviously defective locks and doorknobs they had sold us, they said another $160 at a minimum. We have decided to never use Baldino's again. Avoid this expensive and incompetent locksmith at all costs. How they got so big with so many stores, I do not know. Their service stinks. Update September 29, 2011: We hired a handyman to fix the front door locks. The only problem with the deadbolt was that Baldino's had cut out the hole for the strikeplate in the wrong place so that the deadbolt would not fit into the strikeplate. The handyman quickly relocated the strikeplate, and now the deadbolt works fine. The handyman also took apart and fixed the two doorknobs that were still regularly coming apart. For all this, he charged us $69. Sure beat paying another $160. to Baldino's, who should have diagnosed and fixed the front door strikeplate problem when the lock was first installed two years ago - within Baldino's warranty period - free. Baldino's does not stand behind its work.
Description of Work: We purchased new doorknobs and deadbolt locks from Baldino's that they had to special order because they were ostensibly "top of the line" Emtek's for three exterior doors to the house we had just purchased. Baldino's installed them, but they failed almost immediately. When Baldino's returned to "fix" them, they worked temporarily, but then the locks and doorknobs failed again just after Baldino's ninety day service warranty expired. We hired Baldino's again just before we rented the house two years later and Baldino's discovered that two of the deadbolts and at least one of the "top of the line" Emtek doorknobs and deadbolts were defective. They replaced them with new doorknobs and deadbolts because the equipment carried a five year warranty but Baldino's tried to charge us over $200 for their "service." Within months, the new locks and doorknobs also failed. Baldino's now says they will charge us at least $160 to come fix them.
