Description of Work: I called BL James &Son when my hot water heater broke. They were prompt and found a replacement tank that matched the rather large capacity power vent tank we had. Had it installed and running within a day or two of the initial breakdown. They also fixed a leak in my furnace vent that was dripping on the floor. Great people to work with. I would use them again.

Description of Work: Air Conditioner In June of 2010 less than 36 hours before my son's graduation from W&L High School in Arlington Virginia my main air conditioning unit failed. My brother was arriving from Chicago and my sister and her family from Minneapolis the day the unit failed. Temperatures inside the house were in the upper 80's with outside temperatures in the mid to upper 90's. BL James came to the rescue - analyzing the failure first to see if there was a loss of coolant (I had hopes) then conducting electrical tests that verified the compressor had failed. Billy called me then phoned distributors in Northern Va and located a compressor within a few hours. The BL James crew had the new unit installed and operating by early evening just in time for the arrival of my out-of-town guests. The responsiveness was obviously exceptional. The installation was neat, and professional. The costs were reasonable Hot Water Heater Installation: Later in 2010 (Nov) I had a hot water heater failure and was able to locate a replacement unit at Home Depot. I had BL James do the installation and once again was very satisfied with the responsiveness, quality, of the work and costs.
