Description of Work: Sanded and refinished hardwood floors. Floors look fantastic, and Gary is great to work with. Highly recommended.

Description of Work: Gary ripped up our carpet in the living room, dining room, stairs and hallway and took out the staples/nails. He replaced the hardwood floors in the living room and dining room. He sanded the living room, dining room, stairs and hallway floors and then varnished them.

Description of Work: Gary is one of the best I have had work on our house. We called him per our kitchen contractors recommendation. Kitchen contractor had never met him but had seen his work at a previous customer's house. We also called two others to be sure we had spoken and received estimates from three people. Gary's estimate was great, he is reliable, followed up with us, and he is a HARD WORKER! Shows up at 8:00 AM every single morning, and leaves no earlier than 5 PM. The kitchen contractor commented that this is the only company he has ever seen apply the first coat of varnish with a brush. We had about 1200 feet of floors sanded and refinished. He also replaced some baseboards while he was at it upon our request. He uses a WATER based varnish (better than oil based), it is some type of green product, and commercial grade. Also, he is VERY CLEAN! I'm in the middle of 6 week kitchen remodel so this was very refreshing. Gary is great, wish I could make sure everyone uses him.

Description of Work: Mr. Blake has done 4 houses for me. The first was in Chantilly about 12 years ago. My daughter was allergic to our carpeting and we had the entire house done. That house was approx 3,700 sq ft. Then my husband died and I moved to Front Royal. He did one house out here in 2005. Then I bought a home in Herndon for my daughter in 2007. I again had him remove all the carpeting and lay new hardwood floors. He just did my present house (4,500 sq ft) this past May.

Description of Work: They installed a hardwood floor for me, and sanded and stained it as well.
