Description of Work: I contacted several fence companies about putting up a fence in the back of my condo building. ACE made the biggest impression on me. Ali was very professional. When he came out to do an estimate, he took time to answer all of my questions. Staff in the office were also very friendly and helpful. Excellent service from start to finish. Highly recommended.

Description of Work: Started off well but.... I requested an estimate for a driveway gate and a 300 ft backyard fence. I took half a day off from work for the estimate appointment. They came out seemed very professional and to understand what I was looking for. I was told they would be out of town for a couple of weeks and would get me an estimate as soon as they returned. Received an email about 20 days later stating they would not do work in my area of Vienna, Va. Very disappointing as I wasted almost 3 weeks when I could have been informed much earlier in the entire process that they would not perform work in my area. Would not recommend.

Description of Work: Ace Deck and Fence LLC (not to be confused with Ace Deck and Fence Inc) did an outstanding job for me! The fence that was installed looks amazing. It will be an asset for my property and my dogs are loving the time outside. Ali was was very responsive and helpful. I would recommend this company to any of my friends and family! I have them preparing an estimate now for a new front sidewalk and steps and paving my back patio area. I am looking forward to our continued relationship. Outstanding service!

Description of Work: The decks in the back of our house are three level--one level is two steps' difference from the top, the other is nine steps' difference. The 9-step stairs had been recycled from the earliest deck (25 years old), and one of the steps split in half with the weight of my son. I debated about whether to replace the whole, ancient set of stairs or simply repair the one step. I'd been told that replacing the whole stair-structure (posts, handrail included) would probably cost $5K, so I'd been putting off the decision. Ace performed the job--which was more complicated than originally estimated--for $3100.00. The complication was the off-square construction of the two decks the stairs needed to connect; and the specialist Ace's Ali called to fix the problem worked many more hours than the original estimate called for, with superb results and no change in bid-price. Also included in the price was the addition of two sets of posts/handrails on the 5 ft. stairs leading down from the lower deck. Quality and appearance absolutely superb. The only reason I posted a B for price is that $3100, great deal that it was, is still a pretty big chunk of change for a relatively small portion of a deck, and I'm definitely a cheapskate.

Description of Work: Called and asked for appoinment to get estimate for back yard fence. Company never returned my call.

Description of Work: We met with Ace several times in order to get a plan and an estimate for a roof deck on our historic capitol hill home. We hired their recommended engineer, worked on the plans, etc. We were very excited to get going on this project. When the etimate came in, it was significantly (more than 35%) higher than the original "ballpark", even though we had reduced the plan in scope. When we asked about this in an email we never heard back. So, after waiting 10 days (thinking they were re-estimating in some way) We emailed again, expressing our motivation, but hoping to get closer to original budget. Again, no response. So, then we emailed the head of the company asking if our sales person had left the company. We couldnt understand why he just wouldnt answer us anymore. And again, ZERO response. What we find so baffling is that Ace couldnt have at least said "sorry, that's the best we can do in terms of price". That would have been professional. But to just ignore us when they couldnt get the budget they wanted is just unprofessional. A neighbor told me he recently got an estimate from them and it was nearly 50% higher than his other two bids. I guess its really about whether you can afford this company or not.
