Wonderful customer service!

I left an oral message concerning the young men that actually did the work. Brian C. and his crew were very professional and always showed up on time and did the work in what I considered a very timely manner. Brian also saved me money by being able to put the vent in a room that had damage to my hardwood floor so I didn't have to have replacement of wood. He was very polite and patient. I am a senior citizen with mobility issues and cataracts, so I wasn't able to see the work done for myself. Brian was nice enough to show pictures on his phone and explain everything in detail so I could tell there was a definite difference in my crawlspace. My only disappointment is that I requested a picture of the finished product with 4 people and each time was told that would not be a problem, but I have never received any so I can't actually give an honest rating yet. I'm sure everything was done sufficiently. Thank you Brian for your patience.

Be careful! I had a crawlspace encapsulation scheduled. The first crew that showed up didn't appear to know what they were doing. They didn't do anything like the salesman had told me and what they did wasn't as in pictures the salesman showed. I called after they "finished" and told them I wasn't happy and wasn't sure the work was right. JES sent a superintendent out who told me it was mostly installed wrong. They didn't leave room for a termite inspection, insulation not fully installed, two walls with no plastic or insulation at all that needed it, and even the dehumidifier was incorrectly installed. He said he would send another crew out to fix it. So a second crew came out and tore out most of what the first crew had done and redid it. I still wasn't happy with how it looked so they sent a production manager out who told me it was better but still not completely correct. He made notes and said he would send a third crew to fix it. When the third crew came out, it was the same crew that came the first time. They didn't know they had done anything wrong (how many more have they done incorrectly?) and had no idea how to fix it then. General lack of construction knowledge. They tried to attach wood boards to masonry with wood screws for an hour before giving up. They left basically not having done anything but laying a board on the entrance. As they were leaving they gave me a big roll of white tape and told me if what they did came up to just re-tape it myself. I called and sent pictures and they told me the superintendent would come back and fix it personally. He did, at least I think. At this point, after 3 crews, twice a superintendent and a production manager, I didn't really trust them. I lost 3 days of work feeling like I had to watch and supervise them to make sure it was done correctly. When I complained, the general manager told me the contract said they could come as many times as needed to fix it. Total ineptitude, lack of communication between supervisors and crews, and general poor work. Be careful paying a premium price with what you get.

Joey Marrs did a thorough crawl space inspection after encapsulation had been completed 3 years ago. He was on time, thorough, and explained what was found in a manner that was easy to understand to a layman with limited experience in the specifics of the area.

Pressure from a retaining wall had caused the approx 7 ft support beams for our deck to bow out and in one case crack. This was causing the deck to pull away from the house. On day one of the project Alan, Ulies and Roberto Installed jacks to support and lift up the deck and poured the cement footings for the new support beams. Day two they were joined by Jose for the installation of the new supports. These team members showed up on time and worked all day both days. The tam answered all of our questions. They even put in temporary barriers where they had had to remove portions of the retaining wall to prevent erosion until a new retaining wall is put in. The JES team are truly professionals and their work has given us confidence that our deck will be secure for years to come.

The technician, Blaine Harvey, was very personable, informative, and helpful, assessing the situation at our house. He put us at ease and did a quality job. I would highly recommend.

We had Aquastop installed in our crawl space along with drainage matting and Biocide spray among other things in the crawl space of our home. David Lucas was our sales person who was very informed and friendly. The crew headed by Pallas E along with Hector H and James S were professional and also friendly. Willing to explain everything that they did. We would highly recommend this company and crew.

I obtained three quotes from firms to do our crawlspace encapsulation and I selected JES. They were not the least expensive but I felt most comfortable with the professionals and solutions presented. The install teams were very professional, polite and willing to explain what they were doing. I will recommend JES to my neighbors.

The installers Steven Marshall and Dedie Devon was courteous and had a sense of urgency. They gave me an appointment and was here in a timely manner.

My name is Debra L. Scott-I would just like to say that Roberto and his crew were so respectful and courteous the entire time they were at my home. All of the men on his team locked the doors behind them and cleaned up the job as they went. I did not have to ask too many questions, because Roberto and his team let me know what they were doing the entire time they were installing. Roberto also let me know and contacted his direct Supervisor Omar to let him know when job was complete. Him and his team should receive the highest of praise for the work they did at my home. I would also like to thank Omar for keeping in touch with me to let me know about the schedule and what the next steps are on my project on a daily basis. I give my highest regards to the Ladies in the office that helped me out which is Angela Martin and Jo Woodward, they helped me out when I had questions about inspections and were easy to speak with. They should also get some praise for the work they do as well. I know none of their jobs are easy at any point with what they have to do. I would also like to thank my neighbor Dottie Bohannon for recommending JES to me and she deserves to get the $100 referral fee that you all give with referrals. Please make sure that all of the people that were on my job knows that I give them my highest praise.

The entire process was simple and straightforward. Deron and his team were punctual and extremely professional. They were all efficient and knowledgeable about their work, and immensely personable and respectful. the actual work was of the highest quality, and they explained it to me in very easy to understand detail. This company estimated that I would need 6 pairs to repair my foundation but when the work was completed only 5 were required. I was told I was due a refund or an adjustment to the bill. I have contacted the company 5 or 6 times over the past month asking about my refund or adjustment and no one will call me back. I have been ghosted. They badgered me almost daily to get the repair done but now that they owe me money, no one will contact me. The staff engineers and repair people were very helpful and considerate of my period I assume the work has been done correctly but wont know for some time. The staff engineers and workers are accommodating but the management team is horrible. Buyer beware.

JES Foundation Repair sent a marvelous, well-trained and highly professional team to encapsulate the crawlspace in my home and install a dehumidifier and sump pump. Foreman Darin Coleman, Co-foreman Devon J. and Installer Justin W. worked very well together as a team and happily accommodated my many questions and as well as my request to integrate the sump drainage line into my previously existing drainage system and assure the system operated quietly. This called for brainstorming and creative thinking both individually and as a team. They were complete professionals in their interactions with me and with each other. This installation team is a credit to the good name of JES Foundation Repair and made what could have been a very stressful day for me, the customer, into an enjoyable and satisfying series of interactions. The end result was fabulous. I couldn't be happier with the crawlspace encapsulation end result. My home looks and feels so much healthier! Thanks Team Darin, Devon and Justin!

Pete and Wayne did a fantastic job. They were able to fix my foundation without any damage inside my home. They were very nice, here every day they were suppose to work even though it was in the mid 90's. They were very professional and explained everything as they were working. Joey Marrs from the Appomattox office came to examine my crawl space. Was in communication prior to arrival and was on time. Very professional and addressed all my concerns regarding the crawl space. Very knowledgeable and JES is blessed to have him.

Would NOT recommend any work from the Manassas Office. This JES office has poor customer service and communication. I have sent emails and requested phone calls, of which they do not return calls, and when they do send emails, it curt and does not answer the situation. The job was to dig around the foundation to reseal the outside of the foundation/basement. JES informed me on the morning of the scheduled work that they needed to push back a day due to weather without checking the forecast for the location of the home which is located 40 from the JES office. When they did show up at the job site, they were not equipped with all the necessary tools. JES cut my waterline (private water utility) and continued to dig up pipe thus causing replacement of 12 feet of water line vice 2 feet of water line, this was a substantial difference in repair cost that I paid. JES originally tried to have me incur all costs but stated that I proved that I was only responsible for the first 2 feet of damaged pipe and the supervisor had the crew continued to dig/damage the rest of the pipe after it was located. The plumber of JES was unavailable, so I located a local plumber who did the repair, being out at my home until 10:00 pm that evening. I paid the emergency fees out of my pocket. JES then cut the water line AGAIN on the following day, even though the water line was visible, and the area should have been dug by hand and not with mechanized equipment. The foreman did not inform me of this damage, I only learned of the water being shut off when I tried to use my sink. JES could not locate a plumber to do the second repairs therefore I had to obtain my plumber, who was at the house until 11:00 pm fixing the problem. Again, I had to pay out of pocket. When addressing this to JES, they did remove the fee for both days (minus the $250) but stated *This was a courtesy from us to you.* Even though the fault was JES and not mine once the pipe was visibly located. Once the job was finished, within a week the sealant on the foundation began to peal and JES had to return to *repair* and reseal at ground level. The work was shoddy, JES left the job site looking like a new construction site, as the finished work was minimal with seed and straw but no grading, therefore my yard was a muddy mess.

It took two tries almost a year apart to get the work done. Don't know why they dropped the ball. Second try was great. Quick inspection/estimate. The crew did exceptional work to raise and stabilize my concrete front porch and sidewalk.

all contact has been professional and on time. Jared Smith was on time and very helpful in explaining the process and working up the proposal. i received several emails updating me. Kade and James Monell were on time and very professional in explaining what was taking place and definitely knew what they were doing. job went well and i was happy. they ask me several times if i had any questions or concerns. Wanted to know if i needed them to do or explain anything else. Cleaned up and i was satisfied. Great job. Thanks to all at JES.
